@chinoqio It would be very unwise not to have your passport with you. Why would you lose it? Keep it in your pocket til you get to where you are staying then lock it up there. Shit, I've been to 51 countries and never even locked my passport up but I've never lost it.

Trip Report

I'm going to give Riga a big thumbs down after a week here. For many of the same reasons as Roosh did a few years ago. I don't think much has changed. I also had a friend here recently for a bit as well and we shared some observations.

Stag Parties - There were none in Tallinn but quite a few here. However, I think they get a bad rap. There are just as many foreigners from Italy, Germany, and Spain going into brothels from what I saw.

Latvian Guys - As mentioned many of them are actually well dressed and look pretty good. They're also jealous huge cockblockers in my opinion. I'm not actually convinced that girls don't like foreign guys as other threads have mentioned. Be prepared for guys to label you as a sex tourist for just talking to a girl. I got threatened by a few guys one night out. While many of these girls in bars might be prostitutes; prostitution is completely legal here and so to me, the government campaign against sex tourism is mostly just cockblocking in my opinion.

Girls - There are just as many stunners here as in Estonia. At the same time, the low end is much lower here, and there are a decent amount of chubby girls and butterfaces. Honestly, this is probably the ugliest country I've been to in EE, and that is still better then most western country.

Scams and Scammers - It seems like the government has cleaned up some of the scammers here. I wasn't approached by any girls trying to lure me into a bar. These scammers were common when I visited Krakow so I'm quite use to it now. As the same time, that doesn't mean scams don't exist. It's quite possible since the scams have become so well known that people here came up with new ones. If you're a clear foreigner be prepared to be charged higher prices for drinks and maybe the occasional cover. I also have a pretty wierd story, I ended up doing some street game late at night and some girl came back to my place, she wasn't interested in hooking up, so I asked her to leave and she gave a pretty terrible story about how she was raped repeatedly when she was 16 by her father and she felt safe at my place. That really sucks if she was telling the truth. This doesn't really make much sense though since she has a boyfriend and just came back to stranger's house. I'm not sure what the angle was but 10 minutes later I wised up and kicked her out. For all I know she could have been waiting for me to fall asleep, who knows in the end what would have happened, but this wasn't the only sob story I've heard here.

Nightlife

Nothing really going on Thursday, You'll have to walk around the old town to find something.

Rock Cafe - This is a pretty good spot, stick to this place, as I know there are no scams, plenty of foreigners and mildly friendly Latvian women.

Cuba Cafe - This is a chill spot as well.

As for anything else I can't recommend it due to cockblocking or possible scamming.

Will be there from 5/22 to early June before hitting Kiev.

Will anyone else on this forum be there around that time?

Also, does anyone have experience pipelining in Tallin besides Tinder ?

I think the main negative with Riga is that it attracts (at least used to) a lot of sex tourism. Many pros, stag parties and so on. I think it can be more dangerous too. It also feels much more "eastern" than Tallinn. In general the vibe I got in Riga was not that of a friendly to foreigners city. First time I was there a few years ago, girls would not even stop to give you directions when talking to them in English. My perception of it is that you get labeled as a sex tourist pretty easy.

Tallinn on the other hand is much friendlier. Decent nightlife, has some resemblance to Vilnius in that aspect. It's very touristic, beautiful Old Town. The quality I'd say is above average. The effort you have to put in to score is pretty normal too. Having said that, I did get a major case of blue balls when I was there...

I'm retired from European travel for at least the next year. I travelled without a job so gotta save again.

Estonia is great because it has pretty good looking women who seem to prefer foreigners over there own locals and frankly don't seem to difficult. If you read DN sheet, you'll see. Estonians are also really friendly. The country is getting more expensive and was not hoarded with sex tourists like Riga.

I've been in Tallinn for 1 week now, I was in Kiev before for 1 month.


Girls :
- Top 25% girls are better in Tallinn than in Kiev in my opinion. They have better skin and teeth. But if you don't put much importance into that then Kiev wins. Get an apartment as close to Old Town as you can. Stay focused on the Old Town Square. Hit up tourists that are coming off the boats from Sweden and Finland. The women are looking for cock. If you stay at a hostel....try to get a private room. Hit up the Monks Bunk hostel, especially during beer pong. Russian Estonian girl will put out more easily than ethnic Estonians that might have grown up in the country. But this is not always true. Girls in Tallinn that are in Old Town and are either traveling, working at the hotels and bars or working in a tourism related field are going to be more DTF oriented than normal Estonian girls.
