Anyway, 5/10 would not bother cheating on girlfriend with. Would bang in a dry spell but my heart wouldn't be in it.

I just hate that beak nose and protruding chin combo. I saw it a lot growing up, always framed by a 'may I speak with your manager' haircut, and it's always repulsed me. I look at girls with that facial structure the same way I look at girls with a minor deformity like microtia or something.

Plenty of non-black girls date black guys; I'm sure many do so against their daddy's wishes. But I can't recall a one who went this far off the "look at me!" scale - my guess is she tripped a brain wire a while ago, way before she met him. May not be pleasant to think about, but I've seen several girls in my social circle do that just to spite their father. The black guys in question weren't clean cut dudes either, they were ghetto and the girls were from middle-class families.

If they actually love and respect each other, have mutual interests, etc., fair game I say. Dating just to spite your dad and then attention whoring by starting a crowd funding campaign to the tune of $20k shows her utter lack of class.

Lets for a second assume the dad actually is prejudiced against black guys. He probably isn't a KKK member, but realizes that blacks, as group have higher rates of STD's, missing fathers, poorer family structures, etc in general. Strictly from a factual basis, he has reason to be concerned. If this black kid breaks the rule and is truly the exception, how is he going to be won over when his daughter pulls such a stunt that will remain on the internet forever. Now the dad is a social outcast in his local community.

A personal note:

I have an older sister. She's white. At 20 she started dating her first boyfriend, a white guy. Dude was unemployed, smoked like a fiend and bragged all the time, showing his total insecurity. He liked hot rods and metal music, and my sister having a bit of a rebellious streak dated him just to piss off my father for being a more traditional man. Obviously, race didn't play any factor in this choice.

My point is that young women often act out, and unless given definitive proof that the dad is a truly hateful or abusive man, he needs to be given the benefit of the doubt over his attention-whoring daughter any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Going to crowd-fund your adventures and dragging your whole family through the mud is a huge red flag as to this girl's attitude problems.

Another story from personal experience. I have a friend who is black, a few years younger than me. Super smart guy, top of his class in college, has a degree in engineering. One of the nicest, most thoughtful people you'll ever meet. Classic Mr Nice Guy. At 27 years of age, he has never had a girlfriend. He's quiet, short and unassuming. I'm encouraging him to go to the gym and exercise, build up his frame and actually make himself more attractive physically, as he is intellectually.

I wouldn't have any problem with my sister or any white female friend of mine dating this man. I know that he's the type of man who would make solid husband material. He isn't ghetto. I think there are many white parents who rightfully don't want their kids dating ghetto blacks, because it is a road to ruin. Nobody wants to talk about if you're in a relationship with a kid from the ghetto how much of that kid's friends and family are from the ghetto, and how that affects the outcome of the relationship.

Bottom line is, parents who are funding a child's college ride should have an absolute veto to say no to any boyfriend or girlfriend the child is dating, for any reason. It doesn't matter what the reason is, it is their money, and they have more life experience than the teenager. Teens don't know jack shit about life in general, with few exceptions. If the child thinks the parents made a mistake, it is incumbent for them to solve the matter privately with their parents, not attention whore and become a national news sensation.

This daughter needs her hide tanned with a cane, but the dad sounds like too much of a Mr Nice Guy to do it. That's probably what led to all the rebellion in the first place, the lack of correction by the father for all the years prior to 18. There's blame to go around for both parties, but assuming that an attention whoring 18 year white American girl probably knows better than her father is most likely poppy cock.

This is so true. In my experience many women create or invent their own daddy issues. It allows them to adopt a victim mentality to manipulate others to gain sympathy or emotional/financial support when they otherwise would be ignored or discarded as a low SMV woman. The USA is one of the most diverse countries on the planet. Fifty states, fifty states all with their own slightly different way of doing things. Then you have the south, north, midwest, and the west itself. Add subcultures and high individualism to the mix and you'll find morals, ideals, mentalities can differ quite a bit... Please keep lecturing us Americans on race relations in our country and how relatively homogeneous America is, German guy.

It doesn't matter if you believe in tribalism. It's obvious to anyone who looks that tribalism is inherent in human nature and always has been. It doesn't have to run down race lines, that's just one way tribalism is expressed. Tribes can and sometimes clearly do transcend racial boundaries--military units and sports teams are easy examples--and many (most) vicious tribal wars have been fought between people of the same race.

Nobody belongs to just one tribe anymore. There are many affiliations nested together, and which matter most at any given time depends essentially on the enemy or competitor a person is faced with. That's why Americans can be at each others' throats during an election year, but if we were attacked by another country most liberals would be happy to join up with conservatives to kick our enemies' asses. The best recent example of that was 9/11 and the early years of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

On a much smaller scale, that's also why I might fight with my siblings and we might not talk for months over stupid shit, but if some outsider comes along and fucks with my family I'll bury his ass. There is no question that I would defend my family to my own death if necessary even if I was seriously pissed off at them because that is my strongest allegiance. The petty shit can wait until we crush our foes.

Everyone can calm down and relax. I saw where all this was going so I got in contact with the father to get his side of the story. I told him "there's a whole racial shitfight brewing at the RVF so this is bigger than you and your daughter now. Out with it."

He realised the gravity of the situation and complied, but asks that we keep this info among ourselves.

It turns out he's not racist. Actually quite the opposite. He has a penchant for barebacking young black men and was cruising the strip. He saw one he liked and invited him into the car only to realise it was Michael.

He was pretty upset but Michael was all like "this is just to get me through college and it's not really any of your business and given the situation who are you to judge..."
Of course Papa didn't want his daughter dating this guy for obvious reasons but when he put his foot down without giving a good explanation (also for obvious reasons) she just assumed that it was racism, as the rest of us might.

Just goes to show there's often an interesting and untold story behind situations like this.
