What the father COULD do is teach his son how to run the family business. I'd wager a lot of that money is gonna be spent on/by her boyfriend. Whatever she ends up raising will pale in comparison to the fortune she's losing. True she'll never be homeless, but where will her life be in 10-20 years, compared to where it would have been had she not pulled a stunt like this?

Student aid is based upon a students income and their expected family contribution. Unless they're an emancipated minor, or have served in the military. She's not getting any grants. She'll probably get unsubsidized student loans; which she'll have to find some sucker to pay off later. She's fucked herself. But not as badly as some on here may think. The $23,000 she scammed from people could easily pay for tuition and books at 4 year state school. But it won't cover the cost of: food, housing, and transportation. It certainly won't cover medical school. She'll have to indenture herself under a load of student loan debt to do that.

Best case scenario for her: She racks up ~ $57,500 worth of non-dischargeable student loan debt, then marries some dumb beta, and makes him pay it off. Without telling him about it before they get married of course. Even if she does this she has to live on $13,375 per year; after school is paid for.

More likely scenario: She blows the money on bullshit. Because lets be honest how good are 18 year old girls at long term financial management?! Then she has to resort to fucking "sugar daddies" to pay for school. Maybe being forced to fuck disgusting old men for money will teach her to have some fucking gratitude!

First of all, I, and anyone else, can talk whether we've been in this exact situation or not. You don't get to set arbitrary experience bars as some kind of (unearned) moral superiority test people have to pass before they're allowed to have valid opinions.

Second, I have been. Oh, not because of my race, but because of my religion. Several times. You know what I did? I shrugged and moved on. Maybe as a young idiot I would've liked the girls to rebel because that would've made me feel good at the time, but with the long view I'm glad they didn't. It would've caused nothing but a lot more heartache in the end. And what was the net negative to me? I still found girls to date. I wasn't harmed at all in any material way.
