If you have a family, wife, children and grandchildren, absolutely. If you haven't built that kind of legacy though, the last 20 years will be quite dreadful.

So pardon me if I am not fucking glad this son of a bitch is dead. I only wish it was as a result of a trial for treason, so that there may finally be a restoration of justice in this country.
Don't forget HW Bush was also responsible for major escalation of the manufactured war on drugs, including extensive CIA and military involvement.
When people like to blame Clinton for the mass incarceration of black men, many forget that Bush actually started it with his War on Drugs, that actually was a massive front for CIA and DEA activity that would flood black neighborhoods with drugs. Reagan may have had a small part in starting it (maybe large) but Bush poured gasoline on it.
Anyone lately that hates Trump or is opposite of Trump gets revered these days and their sins not only forgiven (not a bad thing) but also forgotten (the real crime). These days idiotic nig nogs are not just blacks, but also liberal whites too.
We really screwed up as a society letting history be written by particular group of liberal people.
The Iran Contra affair was started under Reagan's administration.
All the drug dealers went to jail and all the politicians got promoted.
Bush was running that show, and many others, during the Reagan years. After The Gipper was shot, he became largely a figurehead.

Maybe stopping Saddam prevented a Hitler 2.0. But at least we know Saddam wouldn't have tolerated ISIS or any radical Islamic groups.
But the U.S. had the draw the line because if they didn't stop Iraq other countries could had done similar annexations on neighborhoods (although Russia did it years ago to Ukraine without U.S. responding).

Many of you should be ashamed of yourselves as men by the way you talk about other people, including the dead. Grow up.

What I found interesting is that Bush Sr met Barbara when he was 17 and they were not just together for 66 years, but by all accounts until the very end Bush told Barbara he loved her. She reciprocated until she died.
This despite Barbara having had strong episodes of depression. She recounts how Bush would hold her and tell her he loved her whilst she had these depression attacks. Bush Sr was not immune to the charms of other women, as illustrated by the episode when he almost got metooed for ass contact with a young woman, but it looks like he never strayed, or if he did always loved his old wife filled with depression until the end.
One can see why Barbara would stay loyal to a war hero, oil millionaire, political high climber, but why did Bush Sr stay loyal to his wife as she got older, and showed her depression issues? He could have divorced and married someone else. But he genuinely seemed to love old Barbara.
What's the secret?

Bush Sr's was the longest marriage in US presidential history.
In terms of LTR he certainly got the job done.
He does not look high T, Bush Sr, but he seemed to have no problems being happy. Maybe this blind religious faith takes up brain parts other people use to think about sex, maybe Bush Sr was too busy with work, family and so on.
Anyway, his 66 year marriage to Barbara, by all accounts happy and graceful is his greatest achievement in my view.

Would you say the same if it were Hilary croaking and posters were piling on on the witch's grave?
This is not even a rhetorical question btw, sometimes I have a hard time figuring out how normies' brains work.

I know, right, she looked like a man. That's what I'm saying! How could he stay loyal to her, and wake up next to her, but not just that, tell her he loves her every day! He obviously really loved Barbara.

Met and married before toxic feminism had fully penetrated the cultural psyche, and landing a woman who knew better than to succumb to the base desires that TF encourages women to explore fully once it had.
I'm probably talking out of my ass here but I'll let other posters determine if that's true.
Barbara certainly seemed like a sweeter woman than her ice-hockey player features would have one believe. At one point she said on Bush Sr holding her during her dark nights of struggling with expression 'I was almost wondering why he didn't leave me'...what a sweet woman she was.
Despite her mannish looks. Definitely not a feminist.

Weird that an old school Yalie would make that kind of grammatical error, I guess it must have been his nurse typing that last tweet.

Ever hear of Operation Condor? State sponsored terrorism with the help of the CIA, headed by Bush.
I have no respect for neocon war criminals, alive or dead.
You want to know the only thing you can assume about a broken down old man? It's that he's a survivor.
