This is a very interesting trip report. I will be travelling to Europe at the end of this year and I am planning on stopping at an Asian destination for a couple of weeks on the way there.

I was originally tossing up between either Jakarta or Manila but now you have piqued my interest in Bangkok. Nonetheless, it's great to have this "problem"

It sounds like you stuck mostly to RCA. Would you be able to recommend any other similar types of clubs?

I don't think that Bangkok is harder than Jakarta or Manila.

In Jakarta it is really easy to show up at the club and meet local celebrities and feel quasi-famous for a few days. I have gone out and met a movie star there who I see in Indo TV commercials all the time and now we text sometimes. The rest of the girls I meet are all seemingly socialites or connected in some way. It's a fun city at night, but it's boring during the day if you don't have work (as most girls do work there)

That kind of stuff isn't possible in BKK short-term I would think, but there are so many girls there that are just waiting for a normal foreigner to show up and sweep her off her feet. Most of the guys there are drunk guys wearing Chang beer tank tops, so if you don't fit this mold then you'll do fine. The real issue for me is that all of these girls fall in love after we have sex so at the end of 2 weeks you have 10 girls wanting you to come meet their parents.

Manila is too easy, and the quality isn't the same IMO. If you're older this might be a good match, but for me (20's) I wouldn't go back there for the women.

The easiest way to decide on the quality would be to Tinder spoof and see which women you prefer, although I'd pick BKK simply based on the availability of actual touristic activities besides sex.

@Biologist. Just to clarify: RCA is a street, not a club. There are two main clubs there, Route 66 and Onyx. I mainly went to Route 66, but would probably go to Onyx next time as it's primarily EDM.

Demo in Thong Lo is similar to both clubs in RCA. But It seemed like there were hotter girls, and less foreigners. I went with a girl and was only there for like 20minutes, so I couldn't see how receptive they were. I suspect it is a little harder to pull there, but may be worth it as the quality was good.

@Nascimento. I think the prevalence of ladyboys is partially due to the influence of Buddhism on Thai culture. I think Buddhism is more "go with the flow", and forgiving than most other religions. I don't think it considers homosexuality completely sinful. Thus, ladyboys are more widespread, and you seem them in all sorts of places (e.g., nightclubs, malls, 7 11, restaurants, offices). I think there is still some discrimination, but as a whole they are accepted pretty well. I think there's even an official third gender in Thailand.

It definitely was one of my more memorable pulls of the trip, and she was hot enough for me to show up again at her hotel at 5am my last night. I think they were not typical Japanese girls. So I made it back to Bangkok on Friday for my semi-annual Asian Chokeslam Pilgrimage. I'm not sure where the last two days went, but everything I can recall has been more than interesting. Basically, every girl looks at you and waits for you to approach so she can give you her number and get swooped. It's like going to an arcade with a bucket full of quarters.

I then buy a bottle but since I'm solo I just start roaming the whole club with it. I had no business buying this bottle. Around 12:30 or 1am CodyB and 192 show up and we just start taking shots. I've been bleeding money, but Bangkok is such a fun city it is kind of hard not to. I spent 15,000 baht in two days. I took day 3 off, but did wake up at 4am and walk over to RCA. I thought my first 48 hours in Bangkok was crazy, didn't realize it could possibly get crazier.


Monday Night
I got invited into some random Line chat group from some Thai guy. Two girls from this group head over to Khao San road. I decide to meet up with them. It's pretty cold in BKK around 60 deg F, so I wear my blazer. I hate Khao San it's not my scene at all.

I did a European tour last year with a first stop in BKK [Due to the affordability of Norwegian Air]… Turned out BKK was the overall highlight of the trip.

I just got back to LA and had some time to decompress from my final week.

Monday
Do the usual, go to RCA around 10pm get a bottle starting pre-gaming there. Pre-gaming for me in the U.S. usually consists of drinks at a lounge, restaurant/bar, or hotel bar early in the night mingling with some girls then going to a club. This method really helps get me in the mood and promotes social lubrication and mingling. You really can't do this in BKK, or if you can I'm not sure where the pre-game lounge spot is. During the week at RCA it's hard to do approaches before 12. This is not because of approach anxiety, but because everyone is sober and if you make an approach half the club sees you. I actually didn't pull this night and it made me re-evaluate by thoughts on BKK nightlife and my prior success.

One question - did you book your condo via AirBNB? I was in Bangkok for around a month last year and stayed in mid-range hotels ($30-50), but looking at AirBNB the offering looks far better. At the same time, I wouldn't appreciate any problems at reception or my host prematurely cancelling my booking for bringing girls back.
