Hi,

I read a lot of great datasheets and topics on Colombia. I haven’t seen a typical ‘travelling around holiday’-one though. Since I’m doing this, I’ll write down my stories. Hopefully it will be of value to the community and if not, at least I get to have a diary 

Day 1

Day 2

26 yo, came to my hotel. She looked pretty good. My type (brown, curvy), bit on the big side, but that turned out to be a good thing…
We went to Museo del Oreo. Supposedly the must go museum in Bogota, but I didn’t do much for me. Outside we hit upon a free city tour give in English. 26yo doesn’t speak one word of English, but she went along for the 2.5 hours. The tour was really. After that we went to the mountain top (Monseratte). Amazing view. I’ve done all my tourist things in a day. Perfect.

She is totally in to me, and wants to see me more and even start a relationship. Ugh. I expected that, and it makes me feel bad. I know I shouldn’t care, but I don’t have that “killer” instinct when it comes to gaming. I might open another topic about that.

Bogota summed up:
It’s a hectic city. I liked the views of the mountains surrounding it, but other than that the city ain’t pretty. You can do all the must see things in 1.5 days.
Quality of women was disappointing. Except for a couple of students, didn’t really see anything above a 7. Fashion style is very trashy. It could be the area (Candelaria), and maybe in a more posh neighborhood (zone rosa?) the quality is better.

I would definitely agree that it's a hectic city, but I'd disagree that the quality is disappointing. I had a totally different experience staying in the Chico neighborhood in Bogota. I haven't stayed in Candelaria, so I think it's definitely the difference between the two areas that you suggested. It's definitely not Medellin where I see lots of 9s all the time, but I saw a lots of 7s and 8s in Bogota in my neighborhood and Zona Rosa. I thought they had good style too, since they definitely seem like they're wannabe New Yorkers. Medellin style is definitely more trashy and flashy, but it makes more sense since the weather is better and warmer here.

Day 3: Santa Marta

Arrived in Santa Marta. My hotel turned out to be in Gaira/Rodabero (sp?), which is 8k south of Santa Marta city. It’s basically one big street with food vendors and a 10 min walk to the beach. Turned on Tinder and Colombian Cupid. No matches, but CC had 3 conversations with 30+ women. 35 yo. Speaks good english. Will meet her tomorrow evening.

Day 4: Santa Marta
Went to the beach. I was the only foreigner it seemed. Pretty quiet at first, but later in the afternoon (Sunday) a lot of locals came out. Started talking to a snorkeling instructor. Didn’t wanna do it, but he offered to go kayaking and snorkeling for free, so who am I to say no. 30min kayaking to Playa Blanca and then diving. Great experience. Took the guy for lunch as a thank you.

On the beach were mostly families. In a fancy mall I saw some beautiful women. Damn.

Pretty tired and should’ve slept early due to Ciudad Perirda next day, but went for dinner with 35yo. Great body (double D) and pretty face. Rated 8. She was divorced, had a kid. We only ended up kissing. Even that went to fast according to her. Pfff…

Day 5-8 - Lost City tour
Cuidad Perirda. This was an amazing experience. 4 days of hiking in the jungle to the “Lost City”. I was in a group with some really cool people. The trip was sometimes tough (pretty steep parts), but enough stops for food and drink and good lodging made it fairly simple in the end. I am in good shape though.

Day 9: Santa Marta
Stayed in the same hotel (Gaira, Santa Marta). Went for drinks in Santa Marta with fellow hikers in the center. Stopped by at La Puerta but it was dead (9pm, Thursday night)

Santa Marta summed up
It is a town to go to relax at the beach and/or go to do Ciudad Perirda.
The women I saw on Tinder were hotter than in Bogota. Didn’t go out much so, nothing to say about the nightlife. Center is pretty small though, so…


Day 10: Cartanega
Travelled by bus to Cartagena.
Arrived around 5pm, went in my hotel.

Had some dates set up via CC. Chatted them up on whatsapp, but they all flaked… (“sister is in the hospital”, “injured my ankle after putting on my heels”(wtf!),”let’s go manana”)
On Tinder didn’t get that many matches. Mostly P4P… pff

Went into the Old City. Tons of hot women. Mostly attached or P4P. Didn’t feel like going to a club by myself.
At hotel got a match with 2 girls. Maybe meet them tomorrow.

Day 11: Cartanega
Saw some more of the Old Town. Really pretty, but small. You’d only need 2-3 hours to see it all. In the hotel chatted some more with 2 Tinder girls.

32yo Tinder girl, wanted to meet in the afternoon. She brought her 2 nieces with her. Pfff. After a drink, we ditched themand walked around town. The old town is beautiful. You only need 2-3 hours to see it all (if you don’t visit museums).
The women are amazing. Lot’s of tourist couples and P4P though
Nightlife. Saw some interesting clubs, but not THAT many as expected (around 10).

Day 12: Medellin
I arrived in Medellin. If anyone wants to meet up, or have suggestions..it me up!

The only option I had so far was in Cartagena. I suck at gaming solo, esp. when I don't speak the language (makes it really hard here)
Since I'm mostly here for travelling/tourist things, game is not my number one priority. Online is ideal for that.

haha. well I was at Gaira beach and Playa Blanca. Not Santa Marta beach.
city center, for lack of a better word ;-) just the square with a couple of bars. I wouldnt say the nightlife is great there. Not at all.

a long overdue update

Day 12 – 15: Medellin
In Medellin I stayed in a hostel. Travelling alone can be a bit boring, and the best area El Poblado is full with nice hostels. So obvious choice.
El Poblado is a fancy area. Reminded me a bit of San Francisco.

Tourist activities:
Real City Tour. A great, free tour through downtown Medellin. Highly recommend it.
El Penol /Guatape. Took a bus there. Some good views.
Cable car up north. Good views. Cheap ride.

Nightlife:
I did the hostel thing. On Monday night we we out to the Happy Buddha. The party hostel. Pretty crowded, but same old conversations (‘where are you from’). After closing time, we went to the only place that was open around Poblado plaze/square. Some backpackers and locals were there. Locals had stunning women with them (fake tits, high heels).

Wednesday went to another backpacker party (they ended the pubcrawl there). Chatted up some Canadian girl. Kissed here. But she was a bit drunk. That was it.

Medellin summed up
Loved the weather. 25 degrees on average. El Poblado is a great area. I could easily live there. Maybe because it’s so westernized.

Women around here are pretty beautiful.
I had some CC chats that transferred to whatsapp, but they were all flakey. Evertytime I asked to go out, they didn’t respond anymore. A tinder fanatic from the hostel, had similar experiences.
I guess you really need to stay a couple of weeks here, to get things going.

Day 15-16: Salento
I went to Salento to see the Valley del Correy. This is a must do trip. Great nature.

A guy from the hostel in Medellin said that in the small town of Salento (and maybe Perreira), you get tons of matches on Tinder. There’s nothing to do there, so women were open to newcomers. I didn’t had any matches there lol.

Day 16-20: Cali
The moment I was waiting for…. Cali! I was excited about this due to the stories. A city full with beautiful black girls. And I had like 15 girls lined up via CC. So I was hoping it could duplicate that with my Tinder presence there.

The city itself is nothing special. Weather is nice, but the town.. Nothing to due. Friendly people though.

I agree. Cali has some fantastic looking women, specially 26 and under, with beautiful Pocahontas long black hair. Though, I still cant get over how it changed in 7 years. Not that good for an older man now.
Also the small cities nearby like Palmira, Buga, Yumbo, Cartago, etc. have amazing young talent. Any young dude in the forum, who is learning Spanish, should be hitting these towns. They don't get better than that. Where was I when I was 19.....in Paris wasting my time hehe.
