I think a similar ROK article was the first one I read. Strangely, I hadn't even heard of Rick and Morty at that point.
It's damn good.
It's damn good.

I am a sucker for Science Fiction and unlimited space exploration. If we were having inter-galactic tech, then I would return to Earth once every 10 years or not at all. But that is my dream job - which is currently not available and our actual leaders are not interested in giving mankind an out of the planet - rather creating an on-site prison complex and fully controlled theme-park for them.
I also like that Rick despite his flaws is an Alpha - or probably more a Dark Triad Sigma - and he is not a 15yo black female genius who does these things on an afternoon like in the current SJW created comics.
Frankly I think that a lot of the appeal of the show is unlimited expansion of travel - distant planets and places. For example if you observe how the original Star Trek was created with positive exploration into uncharted territories by a united Earth - and then later more like administrative social justice negotiations with other intergalactic nations - the shift was pretty clear frankly.

I still like the show - among a sea of programs that are unwatchable propaganda drivel this is still good:
Out of curiousity, I watched a few episodes of Season 3 last night, to see what exactly this was.
Oh, it's Gamma Bait.
There's no point shitting on everyone's fun here, because then I'd be Rick, wouldn't I?
It's times like this I need a blog.

Trump derangement syndrome perhaps?
Matt Stone & Trey Parker failed with their last season of South Park by attempting to satirize Trump.
Then realizing they couldn't compete with reality.
Whereas with Dan Harmon, his REEE-steria over the current situation may cause him to falter...?

For what it's worth, Dan Harmon is a confirmed Aspie. I don't know if that explains the season 3 shift, but I think it helps explain Rick's gamma/sigma personality.

The difference between a Sigma personality is massive though it's on the same development track.
A Sigma can get laid easily with women in the prime. A Sigma can also inspire and lead men if he ever desires to and at times he does. Rick is a Sigma. As for Dan Harmon .....
Now I get it why Rick likes redheads:
She divorced him after a year of marriage.
Note how quickly she gained some weight and cut heir hair after marrying him. Women of Alphas or high-status men usually try to shape up, because they feel like they need to compete with his other options.
The only excuse of a Sigma marrying up this would be to have been married when she was 20 and not 38 - she was likely at least a 6.5 when she was young. He is a Hollywood creator - even if not top-shelf certainly able to get hot young things.
Gamma status confirmed.
He is no Rick - Rick is what Dan Harmon would want to be or imagines he is. It explains the constant drinking and drug use of Rick, because Dan Harmon is known to take legal drugs like Adderall and be constantly on it.

Trey Parker's not much better, he's married a ex-stripper single mum.
Compare and contrast Seth MacFarlane.

Interesting contrast:
Ethan does the honest and honorable thing and officially breaks up with Summer because he wants to start dating another girl (with the big tits).
Now, a few episodes ago Summer fucked Hemorrhage aka Chad Thunderdome in Mad Max world, and basically married and moved in with him.
All while still in a relationship with Ethan, apparently.
Then in the last episode, she went ballistic on him for breaking up with her.
What is the result?
As the after credit scene shows, Morty cronenberged Ethan.
Because he totally was the one that did something wrong here, right.

On a side not, did any of you guys know that there is a Rick and Morty porn parody. It's of Mr. Meeseeks teaching Summer how to gave a proper blowjob. It's pretty comical.
