Modafinil

So regarding docs and modafinil, I actually went to a sleep specialist. I had a long chat with her and she mentioned modafinil is fantastic for people who are chronically tired (narcoleptics and hypersomniacs in general).
Anyway, I asked about addictiveness and she said there was none. Moda truly seems like an amazing substance. People don't seem to get addicted to it at all.
I've been using modafinil for hypersomnia recently. Keeping track of results and they seem positive. I'll post them in a month or so. But for me, I have to agree with Mehor. It might be because I'm genuinely tired all the time, but moda doesn't do anything for me except make me less tired.

I tried Modafinil for the first time yesterday. It was ok, but I can see how it would be great if I took it at the right time or when I had a ton of work to do on little sleep.
I woke up around 4 am - this is my regular time, I'm an extreme morning person - and took 100 mg modafinil, half of a 200mg pill.
I normally have a ton of energy in the morning so I didn't really notice a difference for a while. I usually screw around on the internet for 30 minutes before I start working and this morning wasn't any different.
I started working on a weather derivative pricing model around 4:30. Everything felt normal. By 6 am, I noticed that I had more energy than I normally do at this time and my concentration was better. I'd say my normal energy is 95% at this time and my normal concentration is about 70%. On modafinil, I was 100% on both. I ended up working on this model until around noon. I rarely work that long on one thing, especially something that doesn't really benefit me or my family. I was building this model for a start up that I've been doing some pro-bono consulting work for. If the start up ends up pursuing one of my ideas and raises additional capital, then I can probably arrange a paid consulting/advisory position as a decent paying side hustle with minimal time commitments e.g. $20-50k per year for 8-10 hrs of work per wekk on stuff that I find very interesting anyway. But that's a big if.
Anyway, by 3 pm the effects were wearing off. After it wore off, I felt completely normal, just as I would at the same time on a normal day.
Energy - B - Modafinil definitely increased my energy but I'm a pretty high energy guy before 3 pm anyway
Concentration - A+ - Modafinil definitely improved my concentration beyond what's normal for me.
Intelligence - F - I wasn't any smarter than I normally am, just better able to concentrate my intelligence on one task.
All in all, I would recommend modafinil to other people but think it's best to use when you really need an extra kick.
I've got the dick so I make the rules.

I was just about to ask.
has anyone tried to go to their doctor to get a prescription.
with great insurance, it would probably be cheaper for me to get than some grey area online market.
But I wanna know how most doctors feel about this stuff.
because of my average work,I had a odd sleep schedule and I actually end up napping throughout the day between my full schedule.
I feel like a prescription modafinil would be reasonable for the energy levels I need as opposed to experimenting with research versions and alternatives

There's a generic precursor of modafinil called adrafinil that you can get. No script necessary. awakebrain.com has it. Quite similar.

Ive tried adrafinil.
It doesn't seem to have the same effect as what has been noted by others.
I think it has something do with the way that it is metabolized. It doesnt hit me full force.
I also think I may be one of those people that simply don't process it.
Caffeine from drink to pill form also doesnt have the same effect on me...not the same way other people swear by it.
I almost think caffeine is just becomes a fixation addiction..after a while..people just assume they need coffee of the morning and cant function without it.
...and fuck those people that use the excuse of not having their coffee as a reason for being annoying in the morning

I have tried armodafinil. If you are going to take it take it in the morning. Also i only ever took half a tablet its strong stuff. It keeps you alert and also once you start focusing on something its hard to lose focus. So choose a good activity dont play video games or something because you will literally play them all day.
I dont like how people compare drugs to limitless because it overhypes them. If you want to get something done you have to change the way you think not rely on drugs.
Having said that i have almost a full packet left so if anyone in australia is interested when i return from travel in a month i will sell it to you for $20+post. I had paid $100 overpaid..

Here in Turkey it´s without prescription. Yesterday I had bought some guarana burn 60 from glc which made me much more alert and less sleepy, didn´t need a nap through the day. I am going to order modafinil here. Sounds quite cheap for 30 dollar generica. Maybee I can become a better worker bee.

Right, it´s called Modawake. Most pharmacies don´t have it in the shop and many don´t even know what that is so I ordered it thorough the pharmacy.

Maybe I got lucky. I went to a pharmacy, and they looked it up on the computer..they didn't have it in house so he called another pharmacy and had a dude one a scooter drop it off from another pharmacy.
I thought things like that were common place

Maybe it´s because you lived in the central city areas. I live in the outer area where the pharmacies are quite basic.

Anyone here have any positive experiences with adrafinil? I don't really experience anything on it, at least not the way I do with Adderall. I can't figure out a way to get modafinil that isn't illegal, but Im not sure if it is even worth it anyhow.
