The island I grew up on has been being invaded by Californians since the late 60's.

Californians come to Hawaii like crazy. No matter who they are, they seem to always do something disrespectful.

I have sex regularly with a girl from Santa Somebullshit, CA. Shes been here about five years. For one reason or another she developed a fake Hawaiian pidgin way of talking. She doesn't use it properly.

If I moved to London, I really doubt I would start talking like Mick Jagger.

Another interesting thing about them is that unless they are movie stars, they are all broke. They still have the newest iPhone and wear Rolex submariners, but in my case, they always have to spread the cost of a fishing charter over 4 credit cards. The spirit of living but yond your means must be alive and well there.

It seems like that. I know a College student who moved around my area in the metropolitan region of New York. He decided to buy a $500 belt and wanted to return it but it had a scratch. He was frustrated that he couldn't return it. Keep in mind this is a kid who is working for $9 at near by coffee shop.

By the way, he decided to get the belt to impress the girls. The problem is he is better off buying other pieces of clothing that match his style. It just looks like a hodgepodge mess with his style of clothes.

Question related to this:

Instead of:
California People Invading Other Cities

What if it's:
Upper Middle Class White Christian Girls from the Rust Belt Invading Other Cities

This is something that's been banging around in my head for a while. Let me explain (while ... yes drunk).

I'm a white guy born & raised in, and living just outside of DC (Arlington, VA - which was originally part of the city).

The most common women I interact with on a daily basis are Upper Middle Class White Christian (usually not the fundamentalist kind) Girls from:
Buffalo & Western NY
Pittsburgh & Western PA
Cleveland & Northern OH
Detroit & SE Michigan

Or the "strict definition" rust belt.

These girls have a lot to do with why our forum's founder hates his hometown so much.

What's also interesting is that if you look at what is directly north of this region it's:
TORONTO-OCCUPIED-ONTARIO
This forum's greatest nemesis.

The thing is, the white Californians that we are complaining about (I've been complaining about them for over 15 yrs for moving to other places and bringing their problems with them - even though DC isn't one of those places) are probably largely descendants from Midwesterners who moved there just before, during, and just after WWII. At least from what I gather (maybe incorrectly) from Steve Sailer.

I'm wondering if there is a correlation.

Could it be that there is something about Upper Middle Class White Christian Girls from the Rust Belt that are the key to so much of this forum's frustrations and not "White Californians screw up everywhere they go" or "DC women suck"?

I have tried to find out which areas of the midwest sent the most white people to California in that time period but I have not found any sources.

I admit that this is just a hunch, and I'm drunk, and I may just be seeing a demographic trend where there isn't any.

Long Beach was called "Iowa by the sea" for a long time because so many people from that part of the midwest moved there during the first half of the 20th century and to a lesser extent, after that. Many, many people from Minnesota also moved to that part of Southern California during that time and for some reason, continue to do so. Although not technically part of the Midwest (I think Great Plains is the proper term) tons of people fled Oklahoma to California, mostly Central California during the dust bowl in the first half of the 20th century.

This is a funny thread, I can vouch that the California invasion is happening in Montana as well. I think the biggest thing that pisses locals off is the fact that you get these super rich Californians coming in and buying huge tracts of land that they might visit once a year. Montana has the most Public Land free access hunting grounds in the US so many people have seen the land that their families have hunted for generations sold off to wealthy out of staters. I have heard many stories (potentially exaggerated) of people who see a big buck or an elk run onto someone private land and when they ask the land owner if they can pursue they say no. You just don't Fuck with hunters in Montana!

Plus, they all Vote Democrat!

In response to the guy saying they're not moving to Albuquerque and San Antonio, that's because there's nothing to do in any of those cities. No festivals, no parties, no nothing.

Austin, Houston, and Dallas beg to differ.
Actually I find Albuquerque to be a great town with a lot to do. In fact, I think the entire state deserves to be called the "Land of Enchantment."

I've never been to San Antonio but know of people who left the midwest and rave about it.

I can't say anything about Albuquerque, but San Antonio? If you haven't been or been there enough you would know why.

The area near the River Walk is a stacked place to hangout occasionally, but that's about it. And by festivals I don't mean anything like what's in that link.

Floresville Peanut Festival come on man. Gonna day game some 35 year old+ farm wives?

If Tiesto or Above and Beyond haven't headlined there once it isn't the kind of festival I'm into. Granted Renaissance Fair being a special exception to that rule.

Interesting point, when you exclude the rural population, whites in upper midwest & California generally sound very similar.

I've only met one likable girl from Cali(actually born and raised there unlike the guys who move out their and leave claiming to be Cali people) and she's as conservative politically as it gets. Thinking about it makes me gag a bit going back out there to visit but friends and family will be worth it.

Was she from San Diego? It seems to be one of the more saner/more conservative parts of California. I met a girl from there when I lived in Seattle (we are still friends to this day) and she was more anti-feminist than most men I know.

Funny you mention that. I am originally from Maryland (who I'll bet my left leg will be going for Hillary this November) but live in and am registered to vote in Michigan. According to some polls Trump and Hillary are in a dead heat in a state that has been reliably blue the last few decades during Presidential elections, so I'll be doing my part to push us over the top for Trump.

Los Angeles actually. Strangely enough it was a first for me. Every time I swing through L.A. it always leaves a nasty taste in my mouth when it comes to people with some very notable exceptions.

I think you are on to something, and I've been telling a lot of people who diss D.C the same thing. But I think it's more Jersey/Philly/Boston girls that are ruining D.C with their bitchy NE attitudes and their white knight, popped collar douchebag bro culture male counterparts than Rust-Belters. Everybody I met from the Rust Belt that moved to D.C (Detroit, Cleveland, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, etc.) was mad cool and actually gave the city a more social element. I lived in the area for seven years and most of my friends were native Washingtonians who went to the area high schools. It's the transplants who give the city it's poor reputation. That's why a lot of people complain about the city itself but once they get into the suburbs they're okay. The transplants are mostly concentrated in the city.

I'll grant you that the Boston girls don't help matters, but given the size of NY-NJ-Phili area you'll see them everywhere in the USA, yet other places don't have as bad an attitude.

As well, unless they're truly heinous blue haired fatties, I generally have good experiences with the women from NY-NJ-Phili in DC. That's not been the case with upper middle class white girls from the rust belt.

Honestly, the people/crowd of L.A. is probably the only saving grace of that region for me. Girls were sexy as fuck and feminism nonexistent except for the suburbs.

Doesn't surprise me one bit. Before the Mexican and Northeastern U.S invasion, Los Angeles County (as well as the entire state) was Red. The L.A area gave us Nixon and Reagan after all. The kooky, leftist part of California was usually just the Bay Area but that was an outlier.

I've talked with people from L.A in the past and they always tell me how shocked they are how people think California is nothing but liberals and it's in the same vein as Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey. The Inland Empire, San Diego, and many parts between L.A and San Francisco still lean Conservative but the populations of L.A and the San Francisco Bay area overwhelm the red parts and that's why California usually goes Blue in elections.

I'd keep the New Yorkers (and maybe some Bostonians), and that's about it. The rest of the N.E can go to hell in a handbasket.
