Yes the jabronis in this thread are sacrificing the fate of the world's culture for Candyland Piss Water.

I would tell them to look deep into the mirror. They would probably see the 100 or so different microbrew empty bottle collection sloppily displayed on shelves behind them and remember to run to catch the afternoon test testing of new Creme De Flor Bushenell Rouge Pilsner.

I have you all in my prayers.

This is a promising thread but Travesty's righteous fury is cracking me up.
The weirdest craft beer I've tasted was a Hibiscus and Lotus infused pale ale last December. Pretty good.

The taste of thoughtfully crafted beer is one thing...I think he's just paranoid by the culture of what microbreweries have become in the US...as am I...

Weirdest craft beer I've ever seen was by Dogfish Head Brewery in Delaware. Beer made with an enzyme only found in human saliva.

Anyone else interested in craft Lagers and Pilseners? I feel like the last ten years have mostly been IPA after IPA.

I'm fond of Victory Prima Pils. Just picked up a case of Sierra Nevada Summerfest.

I also give a thumbs up to Weihenstephaner from Germany.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

I'm under the impression people who drink those bitter nasty hoppy beers are just convincing themselves it tastes good so they can claim to have a "refined" taste. Really most of those small-batch microbrew beers just taste like soapy water.

If I'm going to drink something that tastes that bitter I at least want it to get me loose with just a couple glasses. Whiskey or Bourbon is my craft beer of choice.

Im now generally interested in lagers and pilseners. After years of drinking IPA-s I have really sick of them. Now I really enjoy a simple light lager or a pilsener. Plus I like paying again 50 cents for a beer not 3 euros.

Not really a micro-brew but I really have an out of this planet experience every time I drink Westmalle Triple. Since it is a Trappist abbeys, the brewery is not open to the public; so the next best thing is to visit the restaurant across the street from the brewery. I stopped by last year. They offer a exclusive brew called Extra available only at this location.

I am a sucker for Belgian Triple beers ... specially the more dry ones like the Westmalle and Chimay.

Out of curiosity, has anyone else had Augustiner-Bräu München Edelstoff?

My friends and I drank some the other night. The lightweight amongst us was drunk off of one bottle, and me and the other guy had bizarre dreams that night. What the hell is in that stuff, LSD?

Tried this one yesterday. Really cheap, really good.

Says ginger and grapefruit on the label. KInda tart, went well with grilled steaks and a freckled brunette.

If you liked that Texas beer, try these:

The Bombshell Blonde is pure ambrosia. Beer fucks with my bulk up and cut down cycles badly but during the summer I will cheat and buy a case of it to drink in the heat while I smoke meat outside or whatever.

Check their ratings and you will see why these are so good. One of the brewmasters for Saint Arnold's left and started this brewery.

Another super bad ass brew is 512 Pecan Porter:

My favorite beer is pretty much any Stone Brewery beer. Stone Old Guardian is my ultimate favorite. Maybe twice a year I will get some and drink it until I get drunk. All hipsters bow down to this. This barleywine will put you on your ass.

They haven't sold Busch beer in Hawaii for a long time. My research says it stopped in 2002. http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/articl...bz03a.html

Well I just found it at the Waipahu DON quijote. He's a map to help you guys find it:http://donquijotehawaii.com/store-locations-waipahu.php

There's seven of those cans on the road between there and my house. That's thirty cents in the pocket of lucky bums.

Look forward to some top quality content from me now that I found Busch beer.

Ahhh Beer Snob fights are the best. Before I became redpill, I was very active in a car club. Members would have big fights over beers. Stouts and barleywines were common agitators. The actual Irish, German, Danish, and Scottish guys would get into it big time over beers I had no idea what they were talking about. They were far more travel savvy than I was, as I was pretty young. I would sip my blue moons, Saint Arnold's, or bud light and enjoy the fights until they made fun of whatever I was drinking.

We had guys hiding mini kegs of something rare as fuck, whispering shit like don't let those idiots see this shit. Come over by the car so we can tap this bitch.

Good times.

It certainly doesn't belong in this acclaimed thread, but I'm actually a big fan of Blue Moon. Sure, it's produced by one of the big three, but it's a quality, tasty product.

It does taste good, but it's still a chick beer in alot of ways. Especially with the orange slice on the top. I would have to drink that in private and tell no one lol. I started drinking that because when I joined that club I did not drink beer at all. I was still fighting a little back then. They looked at the menu and said, here try a Blue Moon and see if you like that. After I ordered that for a week straight, they started pointing to all the women in the pub that were drinking that, and told me I had to man up and step my game up and get an IPA. I got an Arrogant Bastard, since a few guys said it out loud and laughed. I sipped it and never went back to Blue Moons.

It was ultra bitter and made me shiver and they laughed at me. One of the handful of experts on beer asked me what I thought about it. I started describing what I tasted, (Dried grapefruit rinds, roasted, etc. ). Then they got curious and had me try a few more and had me describe the flavors. Long story short I had my tongue checked and I found out that I am a supertaster. I then got into winetasting a few years later with some of the other supertasters in the club.

Any one that likes beer, wine, and food alot for the flavors and can tell the difference between a pinch of salt in something, should check their tongue for number of buds on it. I grew up the whole time not knowing why I could tell how much salt my mom put in her cooking or could hardly eat anything strong/bitter outright like onion, garlic, etc. The family on both sides just thought I inherited the Louisiana Chef gene for the family, since we all have at least 2 or so on each side that are bad ass cooks and keep all the major family secrets on recipes. Had I known about the taste buds as a teenager, I would have probably gone to a French culinary school instead and been more serious about it. Almost all the top chefs in the world are supertasters because cooking at that level almost requires it to a degree.

It was about 5 years ago, at a Microbrewery in Breckenridge, Colorado, I discovered Breckenridge Mountain Ale and I learned that beer was awesome. If you're ever in Colorado ski country be sure to check it out.

Since I went there I have seen there beer in local stores here in Jacksonville, FL. Apparently they are not so micro anymore.

This is the brewery in Breckenridge, CO.

Breckenridge was hard to get stuff back in the mid 2000s.
