Little known fact: when CodyB and I first met Laner in Hong Kong about a year ago, the first venue we hit up together was a LKF microbrewery location.

Untrue. The first place we hit was the 7-11 and the street corner out front to crush some San Miguel.

Then we hit the micro brewery.

Naturally, naturally. The 7-11 is where all successful nights at LKF begin and end.

This is fantastic to drink in the summer after a long hike, or out on the water:

Note- I'm not affiliated with the company, I just drink sometimes at the brewery.
-----

There's a company near to me, called Brewdog (it's .com for the website)

They've set up this project called DIY Dog, which is a book on how to start home brewing, the same way they did,get a pdf copy free on the site (need a burner email to sign up).

Might help with the basics if anyone's interested.

Big fan of Sierra Nevada, Sixpoint, Devils Backbone. Love American IPAs. I really like Brooklyn Lager too. Some of these things have only appeared in the UK just recently while I'm aware that in the States they've been around for a couple of decades already in some cases.

Have you tried any of the Hawaiian beers from Kona? I've tried Longboard and Big Wave. Longboard is probably the best tasting lager I've had.

Germanico! Thanks, I think it's time for my first data sheet. Not on swooping chicks in some exotic location but on brewing beer! It will be up in the next few days.

By the way, I'm more of a traditional ale fan than a craft beer fan. Craft beer is basically traditional brewing supercharged so my data sheet will apply.

I was back at JingA on Saturday. Drank a Hutong Clan CDA. This Imperial Cascadian Dark Ale brings the ruckus with an extreme dose of Pacific Northwest hops and an addition of fiery Chinese ginger. Brewed in collaboration with the boys from Boneyard Beer in Bend, Oregon. It's delicious!

I predict plaid shirt sales and Bjork poster pop up ads in this tread.

I spot 5 manlets already effortlessly on image display in their natural habitat within 1 post. WB girls 0 for 3. Firecracker start.

I hope you're just trolling and/or drunk. I don't see the difference between wanting to bang an above-average woman or drinking an above-average beer. Having good taste in women and bad taste in beer is not only tragic but horribly inconsistent.

This thread is still officially the gayest on the forum.

Great thread, I'll join.

Here's my favorite local brew. Have you guys ever heard of it? It's only crafted in Kentucky so it might be hard to get in some of the pussy yankee states.

Trevesty's got me rolling. Someone should start a thread on vaping next.

Seriously though, the whole craft beer culture wave is a little faggy which is a shame because there is definitely an ancient and masculine art to brewing your own drink. I'm not much a drinker to begin with, but all the man-bun flannel-wearing beardos toting their pretentious "refined" taste in gross ass beer is definitely lame and putting a very effeminate spin on what would otherwise be a pretty manly interest.

that being said, I do like a fine glass of wine now and then. [Image: gay.gif]

I moved to CO recently which is the microbrew capital of the US. The hipster beer culture here is so thick you can cut it with a knife, and I have tried out some drinks that I fuck with. All those bitter-as-fuck beers taste like garbage though. I like sours and mild tasting stuff if I'm going to drink something thats not Newcastle or Heineken.

If you guys are ever visiting Fenway Park, Boston Beer Works (across the street) is a nice microbrewery/gastro-pub. One of the few places you can get a burger cooked rare (and they do a great job with their burgers).

If only you knew how bad things really are.

As far as craft beer goes, I'd avoid it in the US if you're thinking of it as a financial opportunity. The trend is way overbuilt, unless overall beer consumption rises sharply, there simply is too much product out there. I have several friends trying to get breweries going, and most are concluding they'll have to do it outside the US. Craft spirits might still be possible if you move quickly, but there's a lot of money going there now as well.

Guys, when you actually enjoy drinking piss water brewed with rice and corn, that's when ISIS wins. I'm going to keep drinking my Saigon Saison.

Local brewery La Cumbre is pretty great. The IPA is becoming pretty popular around here, almost everywhere has it now.

Tried this one yesterday. Really cheap, really good.

Says ginger and grapefruit on the label. KInda tart, went well with grilled steaks and a freckled brunette.

I am sure those tall glasses of Strawberry Amber Wheat Ale with pineapple slices and ginger on the side helped make her look good.

I only wonder if you had the game to share the glasses with an umbrella decoration, two-way straw, and hand feeding each other truffels on the side.

At least in Dallas...I'd kill for the return of the 30K millionaire days...it's at least better than what's going on right now...

1) Ugly Sweater Parties
2) Kickball leagues
3) Day drinking at one of the million microbreweries that keep popping up

It's making people more socially retarded, asexual, and arguably chubbier.

"Make American Great Again" indeed.
