The Mexican food, Chopped and Screwed music, and the prospect of latina females have always lured me to go to Houston. The last time I went to Houston (19 y/o), I met a black girl (7) at the salsa club next to a discotheque then we met up the next day to hang out. As a Houston resident this thread is spot on, but also add in Lubbock as a city to visit if you are traveling around. Texas Tech is THE party school in Texas and that is why Lubbock is a great place to visit for some college chicks. Also ya if renting a car, get a truck because for some reason girls here have an obsession with trucks that I never got ever since I moved here. Also for day game, hitting up the Sugar Land suburbs and First Colony Mall is great for pick ups(watch our for jailbait).

Ive lived here my entire life with the exception for 5 years or so. Im new here but will do my best to help out.
There seem to be misconception about "redneck girls". You are not going to find any in the city proper. This reason why people dont know this is because Houston is sp spread out that people will think they are in Houston when they are actually in Katy or The Woodlands. Its like someone saying theyre in New York when they are actually in Jersey.
Ok.
Neighborhood Montrose: Was major punk rock/goth area in the 90s, now slightly hipster but nothing as bad as Austin or Seattle. Very good bar crawl which is good because you have to have a car in this city. You can take a cab to this area and hit 4 bars and 1 GOLDMINE club in one night, then taxi out.
Poison girl: Dive bar with a nice patio. Makes for very easy approaches. Girls will approach you here because of the table set up.
Catbirds: Slightly more hipsterish. Once got molested by a roller derby here.
Boondocks: Well hidden. Good mix of people and music. CHeap drinks. Patio is where its at.
Club Numbers: Goldmine. If you cannot pull here turn your dick in. Head to the upstairs bar. It has a full view of the dance floor from which you can choose your prey. Two hazards about this bar. It is all age. You have been warned. Another is heavy heavy drug use. My group of friends got in a scuffle with the ruling drug czar of the joint many years ago and 5 out of 6 of us got shot over it. Its perfectly safe generally just dont start shit.
Katz deli is a 24 hour eatery near westheimer/montrose. Great for post bar pick ups. I banged a waitress here for a while and ruined that lick.
Check out Cecils as well. Great spot for "Thirsty Thursday".

I thought Numbers was full of old people. There's a big EDM club called Kryptonite by Toc bar in downtown that was full of ass when I went a couple of years ago. I'm pretty sure its 18+ but that's perfect. Looks like they're having something event Friday with at least 800 people going.
We're talking about "Numbers #2" right? Near Westheimer/Montrose? Never seen old people in there. Maybe you went on a weird night. They do have themed nights. I actually stopped going there because the crowd was too young. They used to have "Candy Rave Saturday Nights" and the whole place would be full of 16 year olds.

If you're going to day game, both Macy's and Dilliard's are pretty good, with the edge going to Dilliard's. I find the both the employees and the patrons to be a little more friendly there than Macy's. Forever 21 isn't bad if you're young enough to game that crowd ie: <30. The HEB at Market St. is pretty good if your supermarket game is up to snuff, and if it's not, your targets will be sure and let you know. That's just how these girls roll. I can't say much about Market Square itself because I never tried gaming there, but there's definitely plenty of talent, a lot of foot traffic, interesting stores, and places to sit where you can holler at the lizards walking by. Check out the Starbucks, I'll bet it's solid.
Also, there's a lot of good foot traffic right around that corner where the Cinemark Theater and Hubbell and Hudson are. The Waterway area in general is good because there are a lot of tourists and shopper types who aren't really in a huge hurry and are always stopping to look at shit. It's a completely different, and much slower vibe than the mall. Offer to take pictures of people, ask people to take pictures of you in front of the waterway, that kind of stuff. Anyone with any game experience can find a few good angles to work in that area in an afternoon. It isn't very big.
All that said, your efforts in The Woodlands (and I say this as someone who prefers day game by far) will yield you better fruit with night game. That whole Waterway area turns into a bacchanalia of drunken debauchery every weekend night (watch out for the cops, there are A LOT of them). Crush Wine Bar and Baker Street Pub are both good places to start, and you can always ask around where people are going later. There's also a club in the upstairs area where Americas The Woodlands is. I don't remember the name of it, but it opens at 10pm Friday and Saturday. It can be hit or miss, but there's no cover, so you can go in, and if it ain't happening, bounce and it won't cost you anything.
Also, try to get an in on what's going on at the events centers at the local hotels, and also what concerts are happening at Mitchell Pavilion. There is always something going on every weekend, some of it better than others for gaming. For example, there was a Hip Hop convention going on at the Waterway Marriott a few months ago, I wasn't in town at the time, but some guys I know did pretty well there. The Ironman Triathlon in June is also a big draw. Just generally, there are a lot of people from out of town, either there on business, or for the weekend.

My laid back indirect Perry Como shit didn't work at all; I got blown out a lot at first. I had to really recalibrate my game to be more intense and aggressive, but once I did, I started getting a better response. Dress-wise, I'd go with business/upscale casual. This isn't a wife-beater kind of area. A nice pair of jeans/slacks, nice shirt with a sharp watch is a good bet. You won't get far if you look like you're broke. Girls are shallow here, but they will fuck you if you know how to work them.

I am surprised to see a lot of input from Houston players. Didnt know we had that many.
I have personally seen for day game Target(in upscale areas), Whole Foods, Fancy HEBs and Central Market are solid. Specially aroudn 5 30 or so when the hot chicks who dont have happy hour or dates go there to just browse(not buy) to make themselves feel better.

An addition to the above, the hot spots in Houston change like baby's diapers but areas stay consistent.
So key is to go hit an area like uptown park for a night and keep bouncing from Tasting Room to Uptown Sushi to Belvedere to Champs to Prohibition to McCormicks till you find enough targets.
Its normal for me to get a number from one spot and if escalation doesnt work to bounce to next and find much better luck there.
Same goes in Montrose, to bounce from Anvil to Poison Girl to Boondocks to Etro. You are sure to find slutty lizards somewhere.
