The Inside Scoop on Houston?

The one thing I hate about living here is that you need a car to get everywhere and so you gotta watch the drinks.

Everyone I've ever known drives wasted and has never considered a cab. You really only have to worry about getting pulled over on the streets. You're good to go on the freeways in the city limits. I remember some guy at a club reversing fast as hell and smashing into a wall. He peeled off with a busted light and bumper hanging lol.

Then again my game is sharp when I'm sober so I don't get wasted unless the situation forces me too. I really hate getting drunk.

I think Montrose would be good to walk around and talk to girls. There's blocks and blocks of apartments. That's where I got an Alabama girls number last week.

A lot of hipster.record stores have free concerts with free beer. Cactus Music and other ones I can't think of right now.

As for driving, if you really wanna get rid of a car then get a moped or some shit and a Montrose apartment.

Man a moped that is going low and I mean low lol. It kind of screams beta hipster.

The California apartments are right behind catbirds. Great location and pretty cheap.

As far as scooters go, a classic Vespa wouldnt be too bad. Every once in a while I see an old skinhead on one.

Any idea how much those California apartments go for? That is a bad ass location. Living inside the loop is the best thing you can do even if you work far out somewhere.

Any info on the medical centre area? I am staying around there for a few weeks, for work. Staying in a long term residence hotel. I assume a lot of people stay in that area that are getting medical procedures.

Hermann Park is a great area for daygame on the weekend. It's walking distance from the medical center. You can also hit it about 530-6 weekdays when all the yuppies go walking/running. Rice University/Village are nearby, as is the museum district. The museums are big fun for gaming if you're into museums.

Alright made my update on the thread I posted about day one. Give me some critique and if any of you would be down in a month or so to try again. Heading out Saturday to the Galleria with the little money I have left, and working a bit more to earn some cash to blow when I try in Chinatown again.

Anyone heard of Critical Mass? I see there's lots of females on the facebook page.

Go to Hong Kong Mall on the weekends or you could try a Chinese restaurant and get a FOB. They're always laughing and extra nice even though they barely know English.

Ya man what I got so far from Hong King Mall are that it is the place where FOBs gather. I didn't see any chicks in their 20s at the place on a week day so I would def try on the weekend for better results. Also if you aren't Asian you will attract a lot of attention that may be good or bad. When I went everyone was literally staring at me.

Also I've always wondered about the rave scene here in Houston? I've always wanted to bang a chick with pink hair and/or really white/silver hair.

I would look up "rave flyer history in Houston" on Facebook and keep an eye on events that people post. Or you can to that Kryptonite club and get a poser chick...

Alriiiigghht both options seem tempting but posers tend to have VD(from what I hear and the reason I haven't gone for them), but I'll keep both in mind. I'm much more inclined towards rave events though.

This thread reminds me I´m still a member of the Greens Point fitness center. Fucking bastard won´t take a cancelation by email.

Houston had some nice areas, but I would not be going there as a tourist. Things I did not care for; the dead flat landscape, everyone had to have a pickup to feel manly enough, people looked like shit, the americans I met told me I could not walk around greens point at night as it would be very dangerous, people firing a gun at the hotel one night.

Places I did like however was Woodlands at night for drinking, memorial park for jogging(Had a really cheap tennis court for a big city), galleria mall was decent, but nothing special.

I'm living near the Heights and went to the library today today. Wow, all kinds of single girls and MILFs. All types and races. Needs to warm up already, I can't work in this weather.

Out of curiosity is there any venue or coffee shop in Houston with live jazz or a jazz kind of atmosphere? I've been in the mood as of late for something like that.[Image: sleepy.gif][Image: sleepy.gif][Image: sleepy.gif]
