The pre-op girls generally drop hints when you're hitting on them (rubbing their crotch on you, "you know what kind of girl I am right?", "of course I know what you're thinking--I used to be a guy", etc), specifically because they would rather you find out in public and reject them, rather than risking violence from someone who finds out in private.

I'm not ok with the idea of getting violent after discovering the 'trick'. As long as everyone involved was consenting up to that point, and it's possible to make a graceful exit, there's no good reason to do anything else. The prevalence of transsexuals seems too high to be "what was always there is coming out". I know some people are blaming social decay, but I lean towards too many xenoestrogens in the drinking water.

I agree with this. It seems very strange to me that someone would want to physically attack another person for misunderstanding a situation.

Also, I'm still fairly sure that the vast majority of transsexual women aren't looking to 'trick' anyone into a sexual situation. While there may be a few trans women who'd get a kick of of shocking a guy, I don't think the vast majority want to be just like any other woman, and part of that relates to having normal sexual relationships, not getting beaten up for 'tricking' violent men.

It seems to me that a lot of the preconceptions of trans people being discussed here are based on stereotypes and stock characters from fictional media.
