a girl tried to play me the other day.
I told her I lived in district 7..she said it's next to district 8, which is full of crime.

I blew the comment off.
i notice apartments seem cheaper there..I just assume it's cause it's further from the city center

Was she Hungarian? Districts 5 and 7 makeup downtown Pest, it's the best place to live imo. I don't understand her logic. America is right next to Mexico so...well..I'll stop.

In fairness, district 8 does have a moderate to severe gypsy infestation. As a foreigner, they'll probably leave you alone, minus the iPhone in your pocket.
By the way, if you want to make friends with Hungarians, just talk about how much you hate gypsies. They really hate them.

Typical Hungarian conversation exaggerated for comic effect.

Janos: Servusz, Istvan!

Istvan: Servusz!

Janos: Did you hear about the gypsy arrested by harminckettesek yesterday?

Istvan: Yes, I heard the Rendorseg almost beat him to death.

Janos: Yea, I held him while they did haha.

Spent six months in BP / Hungary last year, off and on.

There's some Roma (gypsy) towns up north. Seriously hot girls. Obviously though anywhere outside of BP isn't so great if you don't speak Hungarian fairly reasonably.

Quite a few cute German girls among the Erasmus / didnt-make-it-into-Germany-med-school crowd. Also, lots of Hungarian girls go hang out with the German university foreigner guys studying to be doctors. Since they're all drop outs that couldn't hack it in Germany, they tend to be drunk a lot, spend daddy's money, and not have so much game. Great people to make friends with to pull in cute Hungarian girls.

And if you don't speak any Hungarian ... most anything near the top tier is pretty likely out of your reach. If a guy with even half decent game who can speak Hungarian comes around, you just can't compete. Also the culture / humor really just comes out if you're into the language.

IMHO. Not unlike a lot of other places. I spent the time to learn Hungarian to be conversational, and the difference is total night and day. The girls care to upgrade ie be out of the country, but they still think deep down that you're an idiot if you're not Hungarian.

Without Hungarian, I'd probably go elsewhere to pick up cuter girls (Poland, Bulgaria, etc).

Also, the stag thing doesn't help a bit with the center. It's only getting worse, too. Got friends in the tourism industry who own a lot of the hostels around, and they're making bank more and more every year (while also hating all the brits). I pretty much stayed out of district V altogether after my Hungarian got decent.

How long did it take you to learn Hungarian?
It looks like an impossible language to learn and if I don't plan on staying long term.. there is no point in learning it past bases phrases and such to make day today purchase better

Hard to say, since it's more of a curve in usability.

Can you memorize 3-5 phrases a day?

With that, in a month you can sneak by all sorts of things. Two months, you are having conversations. The hardest part is figuring out context around all the words you don't understand, coming back to you in the dialog.

I'd say I spent six months to be conversational. Reading skills are shit, writing forget it. But vocabulary of about 3,000 words, most of it already packaged into the conversational grammar, works well.

I don't really subscribe to "it's not worth it" for most things. If you're gonna do anything, might as well do it right. And by learning phrases, especially if you do it by watching what you say in your everyday life and getting translations for that, it's not really hard work either.

And the real skill is memorizing, which you can re-use, and understanding how you process language. Not wasted.

Also, big talk on my part, currently lost all motivation to learn more Vietnamese. [Image: dodgy.gif]

^Seconded. I stayed in Budapest for about a month. The difficulty of the language is exxagerated. By the end of that month, I could make myself understood, read signs,etc..

Expats who could speak fluent Hungarian were treated like demi-Gods. If you're planning on living there, it would definitely be worthwhile.

I concur that learning Hungarian is essential to get girls there especially from the province.

I have a tempestuous relationship with Budapest. I fucking love the city, hands down my favorite in Europe. It's got everything going for it.

-Beautiful architecture and natural setting. (I think it blows Prague out of the water in this regard).

-Booming nightlife

-Cheap

-Ideal size

-Great Public transport

-Right in the center of Europe

-Good food

I'd sell all my belongings and move there in a heart beat except for one thing: Hungarians. I found the people very odd. Perhaps a month wasn't long enough to give them a fair chance but they certainly weren't as warm as other people in Eastern Europe. And the women aren't any hotter than Vienna or other WE cities. It's kind of a bummer, Budapest is a paradise lost except for the people.[Image: sad.gif]

I prefer the people over Colombians. There is a good reason I moved here full time. They are odd but I find them now funny. It's the language and cultural barrier. They are not really Eastern Europe, because of their history. They are obviously not Western Europe. So there you go.

Why? Colombians are some of warmest people in the world, imo. It's difficult to get so much as a grin out of a Hungarian.

Because I know how they are. They smile and welcome you and at the same time would sell you for a beer. They are as false as a 7-dollar bill. Takes one to know one, since I was born there.

Most of my friends here are Hungarians and I find them more welcoming than say, Czechs. Don't bother with the old people, tho, they are miserable people everywhere in the world.

If the economy gets any worse in Hungary, they'll be selling you for less than a beer. Budapest is like the scam capital of Europe by the way. I knew a lot of people that got screwed over.

As I said, totally opposite to what I have experienced so far in 1 year now. Zero scams for me so far as well.

Of course it depends on each person, maybe for you it seems that way, or maybe something happened.

I dated a Hungarian, the hospitality her friends and family showed me is the best I have ever received.

I find the women have tremendous sex appeal, this makes up for the looks.

I landed in Budapest last night.
already got my flag.

girl meet me with a bottle of wine and we went straight to my apartment.
gave me a massage before sex

She kept having to text her friend in the area to say was alright.
She seems like such a good girl

I'm still operating pretty much solely from cell phone. but I'll hopefully try to drop some decent into on the city.along with Warsaw when I get the chance

Was in Budapest last month.

Went to corvin teto, place looked like a dump with very few people, maybe just a bad night.

Szimpla Kert had a cool layout and lots of people but not much talent.

A great spot if youre in your late 20s/early 30s are the wine bars. Theres one next to St Stephen cathedral that's just amazing for meeting women. Kept getting looks and stares there from groups of single women.

Pulled a girl from the daygame island that was recommended here (or some other thread). She was only half Hungarian though. Rent the golf cart thing and drive around and talk to girls.

Got bottle service at Otkert but was drunk when I got there an all I remember is that the table had a very shitty location.

The scammers on Vaci Utca are just ridiculous. If two girls approach you at night, run away. Luckily I had heard about it online before.

Im almost tempted to create a new thread. since this isnt specifically nightlife and now its 2014.

June 2014

Two places that are excellent for day game.
Vorosmarty square
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V%C3%B6r%C3...y_t%C3%A9r
This area is a little more high end. I would say that there are a little more tourist. But I didn't notice many young tourist. Occasional old couple walks through here.
This square has a Rolex store, Hardrock ect.

But its full of girls dressed to the 9s... people are walking back and forth but theres little ice cream stands and cafes also. So lots of girls are stopping by.
I initially came here just to get euros from a bank ( this is one of the only places in the city with a ATM that gives euro)

West End Shopping mall

I found this place because my suitcase broke and I needed another one.
Irs right near one of the main train station (Nyugati Railway Station )
If youre from the east of the city its kinda hard, because its tucked behind the station.. theres major traffic though this place.

This shopping mall was full of beautiful girls everywhere.
I had to run honest day game.. cause I wandered around for about 15 minutes before for i said fuck it and started asking girls for directions.

Women here seem curious why Im by myself and not with anyone..considering i don't speak the language.
You could probably hang around here all day long going back and forth through the mall talking to people.

I can hit some sightseeing up. but no one cares about that.
If you do..say something. ill talk about that also.

I havent even hit a bunch of clubs up like i wanted..because ive been having luck with bangs everynight ive been here.

Its already well known. But Szimpla is still on the list to get yourself a bang.
All three of us.( 2 friends and I ) split up in the bar and all pulled last night.
They went home with two hungarian roomates.
I pulled a croatian.

Since so many people here are travelers and such... the dudes around here dont have good logistics.
You just need a place that isnt a hostel..and youre golden.
Ive met some sluttier hungarian girls in the city..and even they tell me...if they really want sex...they go to szimpla...and never see the guy again.

It works the same for guys.

*racetroll alert*
For Black guys. Budapest is a great place. Its been one of my favorites for a while.
I find it comical.. that Hungarians actually seem to like black guys.
walking around the city, ive seen Poster ads of Kobe Bryant for both nutella and Turkish airlines.
Giant poster of Ronnie Coleman-body builder- promoting a gym
some lingerie store had 2/3 model pictures with women that were black. he other one looks spanish

Hungarians have a lot of dark skin and features. Lots of Stunners that look like that could be south american and such.
But for the most part. Hungarians are pretty white.. but a little more tan.
A couple store fronts i walked past had dark skin manikins.

Ive been eyefucked all day long by teens up to older women. Smiles everywhere.
People are extremely friendly to everyone. and I havent been scammed anywhere.

Im gonna try hard to search out some true hungarian bars and clubs later.
But for now. Im taking the easy pickings on for this week.
Ive already got my bangs in..so theres no stress anymore haha

Also. Again. Ill be in budapest july and august.
I have place thats a stone throw away from szimpla and all the ruin bars.

Im starting a catch an release program soon haha! Where I pull girls from szimpla to my place. and drop them back at szimpla when im done with them. thats how close I am

Im doing really bad at taking pictures. but the next post should have them

After coming from Warsaw.
I still think I like Hungarian girls better.

The way I described it to friends was.
Poland/Warsaw had lots of all around 7-7.5 Not many chicks were busted when I was here. But they when they are hot.. they all look the same to me.
not much variety.
Polish dudes..by large margin are just busted in genera

Hungarian girls are more of a ranger. 5-9
There are more busted hungarian girls... but there are a lot more 8s and 9s.
and lots more variety.
They can look completely slavic. light skin or complete gypsy stunner dark caramel skin
Hungarian dudes. are decent looking. most girls can have the option of dating in their range..while plish girls are almost always dating down.

Polish girls also have stick thin legs...to the point where it looks like a strong wind might break them
This is great for some guys... but so many polish girls had no leg muscle.
They had great asses..but no leg muscles.

Hungarian girls are a bit more thick in the legs. much more muscular an powerful legs.
Asses are the same..and in some cases bigger than polish chicks... but they dont pop as much because they also have bigger legs.

Polish girls have race dog legs
Hungarian girls have race horses legs.

*random
but. Hungarians have better shoes..
I notice millions of shoe stores in budapest. i don;t think ive seen the same shoe twice here.

I notice that hungarians seem to have a specific style...jaw/chin
Its not bad.. im hoping its not just me. but I feel like they have wider jaws or more pronounced chins.
I still find it attractive..but its one of those things...that once you notice it once..you notice it everywhere

I also noticed Hungarian girls have a specific style of chin I would describe it as horse like no relation to the classic horse shaped face of English women.
