I keep a small playlist of old school punk and metal in my iTunes for the day I pull a goth or metal chick, but until then it'll be for the occasional listen.

I like Meshuggah, Gorod, Cannibal Corpse, Periphery, Deftones, Acid bath, Animals as Leaders and all those other bands.

As far as girls go, there are some chicks that truly enjoy metal out there, but they're a big minority. I am friends with a couple of them, and a lot of them are stealth metal heads. They have no tattoos, don't wear all black, and tend to work in math/sci fields and stay very low key.

Many of them were musicians at previous times and things like that.

That said, the majority of metal girls are just stealth sluts.

Metal chicks are usually total sluts or total nerds (or both). Not much middle ground. I've never met a chick who is really into aggressive music who was "normal" and would make a good long term partner. Just my personal experience.

They often time will have serious bitch shields but are generally damaged and can be very fun in the sack.

Unfortunately, a lot of metal guys aren't much better. Metal is full of spergy trolls who are total losers but know everything about the genre and will nitpick you about the smallest details!

Fortis: Bro, I love that new animals as leaders album. It's the best metal release of 2014.

Spergy metal head: No way. Animals as leaders isn't even metal! It's progressive folk funk with Post-rock and deathcore influences.

There are girls who like anything; personal experience though is that the girls I've run into who were into metal weren't the type of girls I would date.

Probably for the same reason that guys who like Justin Bieber typically won't be the kind of guys girls would want to date.

Depends. I do know a few girls who like metal. They're musicians and study things like chem, medical and other scientific career pursuits.

Metal, at it's best, is musician's music. A lot of the newer metal bands are brilliant in that they can take snatches of technical brilliance and make them palatable for the masses. So I don't really think all girls who like it simply like it for the dudes. What about the girls who listen to metal but don't date guys who listen to metal or whatever.

My wife likes Black Sabbath a lot (the Ozzy era at least, she thinks Ronnie is cheesy). Also likes Tool and Deftones and some stuff from Opeth, Type O Negative and Isis. And she can enjoy a few Metallica and Megadeth songs when I put them on - usually the slower ones.

She is not a Metal-head, but rather has good musical tastes in general. The truly Metal girls I've met that were hot were also insane. Fun, but dangerous.
