What medical reasons? I've heard of it becoming harder to pull the foreskin down and sometimes you have to get cut for that. This happened to me a while back. It got tighter and became kind of painful for me to pull it down so I looked around online and read about this happening sometimes to guys. Girls are stupid and can't tell the difference unless you tell them and they get a closer look. I think I've had one or 2 even say anything about it.

I'm not a native speaker so there is room for missunderstoods, however he stated that circumcision reduces the chances for AIDS and other STD, which implies that somehow, in soma cases, for some reason prevent those men from catching those STD while an uncut man would have more chances to catch it.

I've heard that speech a lot from my muslim friends... and at least in their case they use all kind of scientific or pseudo scientific points such as circumcised men develop a bigger cock, their erections last longer, less odds of catching STD, it's cleaner when the fact is that it happens because it's a cultural tradition and even if it were proved that it was negative or unhealthy for men to be mutilated like that they'd still be for circumcision and if it were proved it's positive for health and it were not part of their heritage they'd be against it.

Agreed. I think it's like most things, if you don't give a fuck they don't. My point there was that a lot of girls don't even really understand what it means. Hell, I've met girls who didn't know that the penis gets bigger when erect, or that there's one ball sack and not two (usually 18-20 age group). Yes, there are may hospitalisations and deaths every circumcision season. It doesn't help that in the modern world it is typically carried out in Winter (School holidays) and the larger ritual includes a couple of weeks sleeping rough in the countryside. Just pointing out that it is considered an important practice more widely than among Jews and Muslims. For the Xhosa important enough to accept pretty severe risks.

Can't speak for all African tribes, but the Xhosa do not practice female circumcision. I don't think female circumcision is practiced widely in sub-Saharan Africa. Probably only by small groups of hard core Islamists. Christians and Animists are unlikely to practice it.

You are right that it is not practiced much is Sub-Saharan Africa, but it is not just a "few" small tribes that practice it in Africa.

This most likely has to do with the top countries who practice this are predominantly Muslim. In Islam it is just as common as it is in Judaism to get clipped. Though I'm surprised that Libya, Morocco, or Algeria don't have a higher rate. But like it says, these estimates are uncertain. I'm sure many more people in those countries get clipped because they are Muslim.

It just happens to some guys. Honestly, I have always had a tight foreskin, while I have never been unable to pull the skin back while flacid, it is sometimes very difficult/painful to pull back the skin while fully erect.

To answer your question, it can take a couple of months to fully stretch out the skin, and it probably depends on which ring you start with. I started with one of the mid sized rings a couple weeks ago and moved up one size already, so at this rate, I will have moved through the largest size after a couple of months.
