Why did you do it, because of a phimosis ?

There was a heated debate over making circumcision ( for religious reasons) illegal in Germany after an incident with a young muslim boy in Germany last summer who had complications.

A good surgeon knows that the best operation is no operation. Every procedure has risks. Since there are no documented benefits to circumcision, a lot of German physicians feel rather uneasy about the whole thing and some think it is against medical ethics.

I used to get worked up over the issue myself but nowadays I'm a bit calmer about it.

I think it's probably okay for Jews and Muslims to do it, at least they get something out of it. A jewish boy will not be accepted into the religious community without brit milah. But in the case of the average American who just thinks, yeah why not, without any hard reason for doing it, it's rather stupid.

The fact is, Dentists have more to lose than gain by not pushing the procedure.

If they say, "Hmm, I think you'll be okay," and then the Wisdom teeth fuck up the guy's mouth guess who is on the hook for malpractice? Or if not malpractice, guess who loses a customer?

Conversely, if he performs the operation, he stays on the safe side, and makes good money too.

You're not being rational here Samseau, You could make the same case for removing the upper digit of a finger since these get pricked easily or any other number of similar surgical alterations.

I thought I had seen a study that showed that more than half of wives surveyed didn't know whether their husbands were circumcised or not, can't seem to find it though. I think it was like 80%. But who knows, the study could have been done in 1950 or something. Maybe I just imagined it.

I'm uncircumcised, and from my own experience, no girl has brought it up, even long term girlfriends/fuck buddies who I've showered with and lounged around naked. My foreskin is pretty tame though, so maybe it's just not that apparent, some dude with a 5-skin might get some resistance -- possibly.
