Spent four hours at the gun range with some friends.
I'll be doing that sometime next week. Had my 1935 Mosin-Nagant inspected (mint condition, the gunsmith says) and I'm ready to send some 7.62x54mm downrange. Should be a good time.
I think I'm gonna take a few milk jugs filled with water and food coloring just to up the entertainment factor.
Don't believe the bollocks about guys not being able to hit anything past thirty yards with a Mosin. The Russians may have engineered those guns to fit a budget, but they're still battle rifles and can reliably hit a man sized target at about 100 yards. Lots of guys at the local gun store talk shit about those but if it's in good condition you needn't worry. I have no issues hitting a pie plate with my Mosin at about 120 yards.
I consider myself to be a pretty decent shot so I'm looking forward to it. I've heard a few guys knock 'em, but those dudes are probably jealous they ain't this badass:
Nagants are good rifles. Like any battle rifle from that period, they can throw rounds up to pretty good distances. The reason why some are inaccurate is that they've probably had the ever-loving shit kicked out of them; some Soviet probably caved in the head of some Nazi with one in Stalingrad or something. Hence, the poor accuracy.

After pissing excellence, I replaced the entire wiring harness in my dad's garden tractor.
Cutting down trees rocks. Until you drop one on the house.
Been there, done that.

Shoveled a bunch of snow. About six inches deep. Driveway, sidewalk, patio, and the path to the front door.

Cut up a bunch of branches that fell in the ice storm with a ax. First I picked up the chainsaw but then I thought "is the beta?" so I put it down grabbed the ax an went out an cut up the branches like a man. I was yelling like Jean-Claude Van Damme when I cut through them to.... the neighborhood kids are scared of me.

We've gotten a lot of snow in the past couple of weeks, a couple of feet or more. I've cleared the driveway and walkway to our front door 4-5 times within the last 2 weeks. Helped us save a bunch of money on hiring a plow guy, and got some solid workouts in the process.

Traded stocks in my portfolio and sighted in my new scope for my AR-15. Been a pretty solid day.

Started working on my pallet coffee table project.
I like the challenge since I don't have a full work area or major tools. But HD and Lowes will cut wood down for you, so just figuring what I need.

Read a book and went for a run outside. Nothing more manly than being in shape and intelligent.

Edit: I told him that he should give me advice because one day he's going to turn on MSNBC on his HDTV, and he'll see me ringing the NYSE bell. I want him to be able to say "I helped get him to that point."
