I love you guys and would never hate on you.

I'm signing off, though.

I was about to start calling around people IN REAL LIFE to find a Polish speaking lawyer and was going to lay down the cash needed to get the ball rolling, if needed.

I dunno...In my world this just isn't cool or funny or something you make light of. It's serious business that means I drop everything to get shit handled.

In fact a forum member with a date rape scenario contacted me and I dropped everything to help him. Walked him through what to expect, reassured him, gave him a rational assessment of what could happen. (It all ended up just fine for him in the end.)

Anyhow, not looking to start drama. This just doesn't work for me. Maybe there needs to be a "Trigger Warning: If you've actually been in jail or helped people get out of jail, this is a hoax. Don't read."

No hard feelings and much love, but I'm signing off for good.

Mike is one of the best posters on here. Would really suck to lose him over this. That's a real tragedy...

You guys maybe should have told some of the senior members about it before they went out on limb- now it's clear that a lot of the best posters here feel like they made themselves look like idiots in front of everybody.

Lets say your main girl shows you a positive pregnancy test. you offer to pay for the abortion/help out in any way.

a while later she tells you it was all a joke.

would you fuck her again?

In a similar scenario:

one of your girls shows you a positive pregnancy test. you offer to pay for the abortion/help out in any way.

a while later she tells you it was all a joke.

would you fuck her again?

To answer that question: No.

There are other girls out there.

Sorry bros, this is bullshit.

Critical thinkng means learning who to trust and taking men of honor on their word.

I took two men I trust on their word.

That could make me a chump or it could say something else entirely.

I agree with you, I think it was a breach of trust.

I found out pretty quickly it was a prank due to Sourcecode...I was worried as hell before something smelled wrong when I very briefly saw the picture of the Stasi musuem posted.

Initially I thought the forum member that PM'd Tuth was playing a prank, with both Roosh and Tuth unaware(maybe Roosh didn't have internet access or was on a train or something).

When I checked with Sourcecode I learned the truth... which I didn't understand.

I honestly thought most people were in it by the time I found out. I thought it was some sort of secretive black Ops type operation to provide false information to the feminists/haters.

I do think it was in bad taste. I understand it may have been a bad judgement call as winter makes us all bored/feel a little down. However, many forum members thought Tuth/Roosh was being serious. The fact is, on this forum we are a tight knit group. If this was a real situation you would have many people contributing significantly to help Roosh out. The fact that it was a hoax was in bad taste because it breached trust with members like Fisto who immediately without question offered out to help. Having met him in real life, he's a guy who would do everything in his power to help out Roosh.

Peace out, Mike.

Yeah, I've been in jail. I quietly sent an email to a Clinical Psych I know in Hamburg who regularly does business in Poland calling in a favour he owes me by trying to get him to find legal contacts within his circle. Now I've just sent an awkward 'false alarm' retraction, and am worried I have lost value in the eyes of a mentor and a man I deeply respect to the level that we consider each other 'brothers'.

I think a lot of us on here still finding our way, and we make stupid mistakes, even at the highest levels.

I hope that great posters here who are contemplating not posting again would reconsider.

Of course I have the deepest respect for these internet friends that I've never met, and hope them the best and will try to support them in what they do.

I think maybe Roosh should apologize publicly to all these guys who were generous enough to share there hard earned knowledge and make this one of the greatest resources for men on the internet.

While I understand that the hoax may have come off (to some guys) as a bit harsh--and some of your criticisms are fair--let's keep this thing in perspective.

1. The statements about losing credibility in a single afternoon means your loyalty is easy to lose. I, for one, take people in the aggregate. Plenty of guys have irritated me, disappointment me, or outright angered me at some point, but I've never dismissed them--or their work--out of hand.

2. A bad joke (and not everyone agrees that it was bad) isn't grounds for you to take your ball and go home. Your membership and contributions are valued here, and you're free to express your disappointment, but the idea that this is somehow an irreversible slight is absurd. If a joke isn't funny, don't laugh, and maybe complain, but don't make it into a federal case. How is that different than how some women have reacted to comedians telling rape jokes?

3. The supposed "hypocrisy" here is a myth. There are guys here who, had they not had a net-positive contribution to the forum, would have been banned 10 times over for the things they've said and done--on more than one occasion. We constantly give guys the benefit of their oeuvre of work; you could extend the same courtesy.

If we can accept a mea culpa on what was probably a bad joke, you can accept that guys are busting their hump day in and day out to make this, and keep this, a good community for all. I don't want to go there, but weigh the good with the bad like adults. Even this joke was attempt to give you something to chuckle about.

We cut the prank short when we saw guys were being affected by it in ways that we didn't anticipate. And, we've come forward and said "my bad." Can you turn around and be cool, or are you going to hold a grudge?

My criticism.

If you're going to troll the forum you should have alerted the higher ranking posters at least guys X+ rep or whatever X posts... You get the idea. Generally those are the guys who care about your livelyhood.

Just like a frat. When you prank someone it's always the newbies not the men in the room.

Gonna have to agree I wouldn't joke about jail tho, that's from my personal experiences. If I didn't catch it quick I would be pissed. Wasting the time of someone who is actually looking out for you ain't Kosher in my book.

Why alert just the higher ranking posters just because of high rep points? For all of the loyal members on the forum, high rep points or not, we are upset and share the same disappointment about this prank. As it's been previously mentioned in this thread, lots of guys were going out on a limb to help Roosh, doing everything in their power to help and make sure he will be okay. I for one, wanted to donate to the legal fees once we got all of the information from Tuth's "updates". Just because you have high rep points, it really doesn't mean you should be entitled to be treated differently from others that don't.

@justice I agree.

I am just saying it would make the prank go over a bit better because you know with certainty they will go to bat for you. So you make sure at least older guys don't fuck up their real life relationships by literally bringing up arms.

Maybe you inform all the older posters by join date or something you get the idea.

I am not saying post count or rep count = value I am just saying it's a decent corollary so you could have avoided people like anonymous bosh from ruining a real life biz contact.

Make sense?

Overall 0/10 would never use my own forum to troll haters. Again just stating an opinion mods obviously can do whatever it's their home not mine.

Be wary of friends-they will betray you more quickly, for they are easily aroused to envy. They also become spoiled and tyrannical. If you have no enemies, find a way to make them.

Doesn't matter now. I agree with Mike. You don't make pranks about serious stuff like that. Next time you are in a serious situation good luck trying to find someone that takes it serious. People will think it's a prank, again.

Personally I found it funny, but yes there was a breach in trust. Although there was one, Tuth I think made a great point that if you're gonna leave the forum or lose trust in them that fast. Your loyalty is damn paper thin. You would be willing to change sides at the slightest provocation. I think that disloyalty is worse than a joke in bad taste.

I agree, but I also think that anyone who reads the forum can tell which guys here would put their own reputation on the line to support Roosh (who also just wrote a blog post about maintaining ones dignity).

I wasn't surprised when guys like MikeCF, Fisto, and El Mechanico came out saying they'd do real life support for Roosh.

And some of those guys who did make calls, and then had to call back their contacts to do a take back.. that's a hit to their dignity and standing in real life. Especially if they are trying to stay anonymous. What are they supposed to tell their contacts?

I come to this forum because I know I can talk to guys here are dealing with things that I encounter in my own life that nobody else who actually lives in my life offline could fully understand. If we lose the more experienced posters over this.. I think that's something to take note of, at the very least.

I think it's bad form for Tuth and Roosh to prank their own forum, knowing we would be genuinely worried about Roosh and try to help. Initially the story seemed plausible too, given all the entire stalker issue Roosh had to deal with recently in Poland. If the prank was conceived as Jezebel/feminist clickbait then surely Tuth and Roosh must have known they wouldn't have been able to keep up the facade for as long as it would have taken Jezebel to notice - forum members would already have tried to find out what was going on/taking action IRL by then and so would have had to have been notified about the hoax. I lurk here mostly but on reading all this I had to post and express my disappointment at the whole thing. In the end it looks like the most noteworthy consequence has been MikeCF leaving - clearly one of the best posters on the forum. Well done guys. I hope that this should serve as a lesson to Tuth and Roosh to stick to trolling feminists, not their own supporters.

Agree with everything you said Tuthmosis.

Except for number 1.

It's not that our loyalty is easy to lose. It's that your respect for us is nonexistent. Would you let your real life friends think you were in Jail for 5 hours?

Also keep in mind that loyalty is something that should be valued and rewarded.

Now you're lecturing us on what we are allowed to disapprove of?

Post Roosh is in jail X and needs help now and we can figure it out with the hive mind. These couple hours of mod generated drama only shows how weak some of you are for getting worked up. Chill out when in doubt.

This was relatively tame compared to some pranks my friends pulled. Sure they worried us, but the time frame was small and it was something we can always refer back too as a brotherly prank. I was a sucker and fell for it at the beginning before seeing discrepancies, but really so what. We sometimes need that shock to our system.
