My jailing was a hoax

Sorry bros, this is bullshit.

Critical thinkng means learning who to trust and taking men of honor on their word.

I took two men I trust on their word.

That could make me a chump or it could say something else entirely.

Fuck you, Roosh. I was really worried.

... less worried when I saw Tuthmosis's posts about how you wouldn't be able to use the "post of the day" image, but I was still worried.

I'm glad you're okay, man.

I didn't need to see a picture, I just took tuthmosis word for it because I thought he valued his credibility.

Seems he doesn't.

Big apology to the guys on the forum for me getting upset with them for questioning whether or not Roosh was actually in jail.

I was just in a Dominican holding cell for 24 hours a few days ago, I didn't want roosh to have to be in anything like that for any extended period.

Fisto- don't be embarrassed. This episode has shown you to be a true man that sticks to his word and values and is willing to stand up for what he believes is right.

We had no reason not to believe Tuth, and I thought it was cool that you were willing to throw down for Roosh.

It just goes to show the power and value of what we are doing here. Guys are invested in it. We had people saying they were going to lay low until everything cleared up as well.

I give props to all you guys who threw support towards Roosh.

Now, I think what would be appropriate is if Roosh gave himself a 7-day ban for massive trolling effort!!!

Successful at what roosh? Pissing off people who were willing to help you in case of actual crisis? Destroying tuths credibility ? The forum and your readers aren't fuckin feminists you should be trolling for Lols.

You cried wolf for no reason other than to make yourself laugh. Good job man. You got us hard. /s

You have such a massive reach with your voice and how you choose to use it is uninspiring to say the least.

I know you don't give a shit about me or have even read any of my writings but you've lost a reader with these silly shenanigans.

Leave the trolling for the fatties, feminists and faggits. You're better than this. Or so I bought until today.

Yes I had a post deleted too...even so there are a ton of clues but the responses were just too good in planting doubts about it being the museum.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

I was torn about posting while it was happening. If it's a hoax, and I call em out on it, I kill the plan. If I call them out and it's real, I'm an jerk who isn't helping Roosh. If I did post and it was real, fuel for the haters. Roosh, you should institute a real disaster plan in the event ROK or the forum has a real incident.

I understand MIkeCF. Just imagine donating your well earned money to a hoax... This thread showed us it's not difficult to do, so it can easily give the wrong signal to some folks.

1. Guys' willingness to extend help to Roosh and to me was both heartening and surprising. This proves we really have become a community, even in times of need. The fact that guys didn't just respond with just a bunch of smilies, but with real offers of assistance, shows a real level of brotherhood that should encourage all of us.

The willingness to help really surprised you?

Yeah, I'm gonna be taking a break from RVF for a while. We'll see.

Look, I'm gonna call this one how I see it. Over the years I've seen PLENTY of guys banned for presenting false information or otherwise trolling the forum. You two have run a tight ship to make sure the quality of this forum stays high. You've also made comments about senior level members "outgrowing" the forum and perhaps it's time for them to move on. Perhaps that could apply to you two as well and you're taking this thing that you've created for granted.

This was a major misstep. You've got guys in real life ready to take action and contribute real money to help a serious situation. I don't know of another online forum with that level of camaraderie. I'd like to think of this forum as a group of guys that are above such antics and internet drama.

You might think this post is overly dramatic but I treat this forum as an extension of my real life. This isn't some fantasy forum where I take on an anonymous alter-ego and turn into someone completely different; I try to rep myself on the boards just the way I am in real life. For that reason I take this forum seriously, and I'm not the only one. In return, I would expect to be taken seriously.

If this is too inflammatory you're free to suspend or ban me. I've made some great contacts through the forum and I'd be happy keeping those contacts outside of the online realm.

Peace out.

I think that you should have PMd all the members who posted. It doesn't really matter, but I didn't really expect Roosh to be in on it, and thought there was a coup or something. I was pretty worried, and even emailed all the members I knew about the potential coup:

Quote:
Tuth,
I have gained a lot from this forum, and would be disappointed to be banned. However there are a few things that I would like to seek clarification on:

To my knowledge, no one has met you; no one has met me either, or a bunch of the repped members, and you have certainly dropped a lot of knowledge- but it does factor into discussions. You say that Roosh has been arrested and are very vague about what has happened, no one is able to disprove or corroborate your story.
You then describe Roosh as 'former chief' of the forum. Have you already supplanted him? Furthermore, within a few hours of his alleged arrest, you announce a raft of changes for the forum that go against what Roosh wanted for the forum. Instead of announcing how we can help Roosh, you've unveiled a bunch of rules about how we will be paying you from now on- even to access data sheets which you didn't produce. Also, whats with this new emphasis on not questioning what has happened to Roosh. I am worried about him and want to help, but I don't think that censorship is the answer- why promote what we so often rally against?

Perhaps I will be banned for this post. Once again I reiterate that I will regret it if that does happen, but I do seek an explanation and a dialogue being opened, not closed.

I suspected the jail story was a hoax from the beginning and even played along while PMing a few forum members who kept posting evidence that Roosh and Truth were running a honey pot operation for Jezebel clicks...

...but when Truth posted the new rules I got scared and thought maybe the forum had been hacked or something...or that Roosh had sold the RVF to the IRT for big $$$$ and IRT was taking revenge as the new moderator.

I love you guys and would never hate on you.

I'm signing off, though.

I was about to start calling around people IN REAL LIFE to find a Polish speaking lawyer and was going to lay down the cash needed to get the ball rolling, if needed.

I dunno...In my world this just isn't cool or funny or something you make light of. It's serious business that means I drop everything to get shit handled.

In fact a forum member with a date rape scenario contacted me and I dropped everything to help him. Walked him through what to expect, reassured him, gave him a rational assessment of what could happen. (It all ended up just fine for him in the end.)

Anyhow, not looking to start drama. This just doesn't work for me. Maybe there needs to be a "Trigger Warning: If you've actually been in jail or helped people get out of jail, this is a hoax. Don't read."

No hard feelings and much love, but I'm signing off for good.

To Roosh and Tuth, well played [Image: clap.gif] However, Im with Scorpion on this in regards to playing wolf. God forbid, one day you (or any other vouched member for that matter) actually land in jail and word reaches this very forum. There will always be doubt in the back of our minds now. You had guys (myself included) willing to to go the extra mile, extract resources, reach out to connections, and possibly owe favors all to help out someone who many of us have never even personally met just to find out it was a prank. The same courtesies may not be extended in the future. That being said, I'm glad to see you're up and about and doing well. I think the rest of the guys here would agree.

Just my opinion.

Quintus, it borders on the type of prank I consider Bitch Drama: running away from home, fake suicide threats, etc, where other people are genuinely-concerned for your safety and well-being.

I don't think this intention was malicious. Here I think it's just Roosh and Tuth not fully-understanding that the community really does respect them and care about their well-being and leadership to the degree it obviously does.

My Dad was a master pranker. I remember when I was a kid he bought 10 giant bags of popcorn from a Wholesalers and filled his mate's house with popcorn before he returned on a late night flight.

Hearing him tell the story, the first thing the guy went to do was get the vacuum cleaner, only to find Dad had filled the bag with popcorn. He went to replace the bag, only to find Dad had filled his spare bags up with popcorn. He went to sweep it up, to find Dad had hidden the broom and removed the garbage bags. He went to get the outside garbage bin only to find it was full of popcorn. When he went to use the toilet, it was full of popcorn. Eventually, the guy gave up, and figured he'd deal with it in the morning. He hopped into bed, only to find... you guessed it.

That's a damn good prank. This? Not so much. Might take a break for a while.

Dontuan and I were at Wsiecky Pies in Wrocław trying to figure out what to do to help. Once the 'no bail' thing came up it didn't look like there was much we could do, particularly since I was a bit more buzzed than policja like to deal with, but I figured that at least I could go tomorrow and see if he needed some moral support or whatever, and get a taxi to Dolnoslaskie to the police station in the morning.

Notably, it's hard to do investigative reporting on your mobile to fact-check things that come up.

I probably would have thought this prank was funnier if I were back home in the US and just got to sit back and [Image: icon_popcorn.gif].

Mike is one of the best posters on here. Would really suck to lose him over this. That's a real tragedy...

You guys maybe should have told some of the senior members about it before they went out on limb- now it's clear that a lot of the best posters here feel like they made themselves look like idiots in front of everybody.

My criticism.

If you're going to troll the forum you should have alerted the higher ranking posters at least guys X+ rep or whatever X posts... You get the idea. Generally those are the guys who care about your livelyhood.

Just like a frat. When you prank someone it's always the newbies not the men in the room.

Gonna have to agree I wouldn't joke about jail tho, that's from my personal experiences. If I didn't catch it quick I would be pissed. Wasting the time of someone who is actually looking out for you ain't Kosher in my book.
