However, increasingly, I am noticing that I do enjoy semi-luxury. And, increasingly I am aware that part of my attraction with women is that I can provide experiences and things that most men in their dating pool can not. Not a problem, it is a strategic advantage.

Sure it's a good experience when you're slumming it around like that but it doesn't make you better than the people with a bit of money to spend who choose a nice aircon bus. The locals on the aircon bus are no less 'real' that the locals on the chicken bus, just people with a little more money.

I prefer to hang around with the middle class locals than the poor ones, the poor ones don't have money to do anything and you'll be expected to pay their way. The middle class ones have cash, will spend it and know good places to go.

Neil, when you hit up Colombia let me know. I can give you some suggestions and maybe we can meet up for a drink. Cali would be a good city for you. You would like the talent and there are relatively few gringos compared to Medellin. Some good hostels too.

I've been to Cali and it wasn't a success at all. I would sure like to try again but I vowed not to go back there unless I'm speaking some decent Spanish.

Yes some spanish is a must. And that is the only city in Colombia where I stayed in hostels. Lets just say my notch per week wasnt that high fot that reason.

For the foreigners who read this blog and think, that all what Russian girls want is money and don't understand, why they should pay in the pubs, restaurants and etc dedicated: it is Russia, and you came here as a guest, so you should follow the rules. And it is a rule, that THE MAN PAYS. So expect to pay, if you are inviting a girl somewhere. You can think it is unfair, but it is a rule. If you don't have much money - offer dinner at home or bring to a place which you can afford (eg McDonalds, if she stops meeting with you after that - better for you, probably that's not your type of girl and she doesn't like you. From this blog you really can think that all Russian girls are greedy whores. Not sure how X should be called then, but if he is digging in the dirt, then there is very little chance to find pearls, isn't it?

The main idea was "getting laid" - well, he've got it (for free!!!, he should be happy&grateful and not complain, how bad everyone around is. I personally always offer to pay when I go out with foreigners (they usually refuse - probably well trained by former girlfriends As well i think if man invites me to some really expensive place, then he probably can afford that and I wouldn't offer to pay.

When i was in long term relations, to be frank, i didn't offer to pay, when we went out. He was American guy with 10K USD salary, so he was paying all the time, which didn't seem to bother him. If his salary was more like mine, then i would probably also pay.

As for average salary, this will probably sound not nice, but i don't think either Lena or i would meet with the guy who is permanently getting so much lower salary than we do. Permanent salary like that would mean either 1) he is a student 2) he has lower education than i have (eg he is a driver) 3) he has a good education but he just didn't fit into this life. In cases 1 he is probably too young for me, in case 2 he is not the right person for me (though he can be very nice), as i need someone who will be better or at least not worse than i, in case 3 - he is a looser, which is very sad.

If you are dating with girl and all what she wants is to go out to restaurants and bars every evening, i would start thinking, what exactly she wants from you and whether she likes to be with you there or she just likes to eat in nice places. Dinner at home can be as nice as in restaurant, sometimes even nicer.

What is more important, no one likes angry sarcastic people hating everyone around. So until this changes, all the changes in your material status are not important. Other important things: What is your education? In which University you studied? Do you have your teaching certificate? I hope you do have all of that. What are you doing in your free time? How many exhibitions you visited? Do you go to theater? Are you interested in history? Reading books? What are your interests except tits/drinking beer/cheap girls? As i said, Russia gives lots of opportunities - go study English and you will find a job in better company, your salary will rise, prove that you know more, than others do, that you are a valuable employee. if you are lazy, it is easy to tell that this is "average". What i am saying is that there is always a way to improve yourself and your life. And "average poorness" is for losers, pls don't beat me for that... Again, i am talking about men/women 30-45 y.o. This is the age, when evth is possible and you and only you can take your life under control and responsible for it.

LOL. my sister in law is the head of the English dept at an Odessan university and I barely can talk to her until recently after shes bee nworking in USA for a bit. my wife on other hand spoke great English. She got a chance to at work and she was a scammer until i made her a women.

And, they all become "friends" of sorts and extended themselves often with favors, etc... Without the normal transactional mentality that is common in Colombia, for example.

My tip still stands go by your own gut feelings not what they tell you .You have to understand if 10 years ago they had to protect tier database fro m not being depleted it has to be eve n worst for them now. Its a much smaller amount of females wh o are interested in marrying to move abroad than 10 years ago so they cant afford to lose too many of the girls they have. ofcourse i am sure to get references they have to help some relationships get off the ground.
