Lessons We Can Learn from Neil Strauss’ Divorce

Strauss may not be the stud that some imagine mhim to be but kudos to him for the personak transformation he underwent in The Game . The book is also entertaining and a good survey of game pre smart phone. He's a good writer.
I think he has a sexual addiction based on insecurities so I'm not surprised his marriage didn't work. Most in the West don't anymore

I don't know what lessons we can learn from this, but keep in mind Neil is still somewhat of a regular guy. Yeah he has some fame, but most people wouldn't recognize him on the streets.
Not to change the subject, but the whole Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa thing earlier this year was what really opened my eyes. If a guy like Trump Jr. can get divorced, than it clearly shows that there's a heavy and serious problem in society.

That happened fast. I was just checking out his Instagram 3 months or so ago and there were many posts devoted to their relationship.
I like Neil because he's not afraid to admit his flaws. I'm sure this will be book material that will go in-depth about the demise.
Have you read the Truth? I got through about 1/4 of it on audiobook when I was stuck in the airport. IIRC he cheated on her quite a bit during the beginning and went to therapy for sex addiction. It was a very honest book even if a little on the new-agey side. Perhaps he fell back into that and that crumbled the relationship? Who knows?
Edit: Is the divorce still on? The article in Daily News stating they're getting divorced was in October. I just checked Neil's Instagram and there's family photo from 2 days ago. Are we sure the divorce is still on?

Feel bad for anyone who gets a divorce. If memory serves, he decided to go polyamorous which to me is often a sign that a divorce could be on the horizon.

This. The Game was the book that red-pilled me, made the world suddenly make sense. I wish I had come across it in my teens, not for game, but for making sense of how the world really is.
Pickup doesn't seem to be as big of a business now, though Tyler and RSD are still going strong. I never really got into canned routines and everything, but The Game got me into studying style, body language and voice tonality.
If nothing else, it's still a great story.
"The only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilised community, against his will, is to prevent harm to others...in the part which merely concerns himself, his independence is, of right, absolute." - John Stuart Mill, On Liberty

His head resembles the NPC meme, a lot.
Maybe he can win her back with 'voice tonality' and other gobbledygook and sell another fantasy book this time aimed at cucked divorced men. She'll get a nice cut of the proceeds if she plays along.

One thing about his books and his approach to things, he is thorough. For example, in the Game, he meets Tom Cruise and learned that Cruise studied and practiced how to walk so he would have a confident walk, important if you are as short as Cruise and Strauss. In Emergency, he invested several hundred thousand dollars to get a second passport from a Carribean country. You would want to follow up with deeper research, his books are not exactly how-tos, but they are thorough surveys over a broad landscape.

Thinking you can marry above a 7, who's much young, not have children, and not have a high chance of it blowing up is foolish.
Unless you are a handsome man, independently wealthy, and a respected member of a upper-end community, marrying an 8 who is much younger than you is a significant risk.
Us regular looking guys from middle class backgrounds who are moderately successful are best off wifing up a 6-7, who's only a couple years younger, and keeping her busy with babies until she's too old and worn to think about having options in a divorce...

Im sure Tom Cruise improved his notch count immeasurably once he got his walk game down.

Even though it ended in divorce I gotta give it to him for punching that much above his weight. Most of the guys I see around here who look like him don't do well.

I just found out a couple days ago that a buddy of mine got divorced and it sucks because he has a kid. What's amazing is apparently he got a GF fairly quickly after that breakup and he's taking it pretty well. We used to work at a pretty crappy job and if anything going through hell toughens you up. He's in his early 20s and got nothing in his name. Bless him, at least he isn't 40+ with a career and a net worth north of $500,000+.
I'm sure NS will be fine even after he's done getting taken to the cleaners. In this day and age if you think you won't get fucked in court you are naive. This is all just a sign that western civilization is on the decline. I personally want to get married and raise a stable family but it won't be at my expense.

For those who haven't done so, please analyze carefully the risks of marriage. This is not an arrangement that lasts for most people in these times. When it falls apart, you will be up against the full power of the state which will destroy you. Neil is just 1 more in a long line of guys that have been/are being ruined financially (often for life). Marriage is simply way too risky in today's western culture. Open your eyes, look around, you know its true. Talking and rationalizing regarding marriage won't help. Do yourself a big favor. Please protect yourself by just saying "NO" to marriage.
