Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor

Just letting you guys know.

If they follow classical boxing rules, Mayweather is going to dismantle McGregor. This will not be a good fight....

The only way this would be interesting is if halfway through the fight it switched to MMA rules. That way Mayweather had to try to end the fight in 6 rounds or McGregor would wreck him once it hit MMA rules.

Mayweather is going to win handly by just doing why he always does. Technical, defensive and counter punch boxing. It will be a boring fight. It will be a positive for McGregor if he gets a solid hit and hurts Mayweather a little. Wouldn't be surprised if he DQs from the rule differences though.

^^The fight will not last to the 6th round anyway. This reminds me of Tyson vs McNeeley.
Connor does not stand a chance, no matter how good martial artist he is, or one of the best in the world, he is no match for Floyd in boxing.

My bet is second round knockout.

Mayweather has never been known for knockout power - with brittle hands to boot - and McGregor has a solid jaw. Why would you ever bet on a Mayweather KO, even with traditional boxing rules? That's the last outcome I'd bet on.

This will be the easiest payday for Mayweather in his career. McGregor will cash out too, but he's gonna get destroyed

Hah, knew it! Pretty Boy Floyd wants win number 50 that bad so he can top the record. Not just for the cash but for the bragging rights. I for one won't be watching this crapfest, that's for sure.

I'm also hoping if Mcgregor starts losing it, he snaps and throws Mayweather in a RNC or roundhouse kicks his head off. That alone would make it worth the money and infinitely better than Mayweather v Pacquiao.

Because (under boxing rules) he'll hit McGregor 50 times for each time McGregor hits him. Knockouts don't just come from hard punches. They come from an accumulation of punches. Ray Robinson, Muhammand Ali, Ray Leonard, Vasyl Lomachenko - rarely won with one punch KO's. But they bust your face up with their punches, until your will to continue is diminished.

Have to think the betting odds will be heavily tilted in Mayweather's favor, kind of like how they were with Hillary. In the election people were betting $100 to win $10 because Hillary winning was a sure thing. Will likely be similar this time as well.

I hate watching Mayweather dance for 12 rounds for a victory, but putting money on McGregor to win would be retarded.

I learned my lesson after the pacquiao-mayweather fight I'm not paying to watch that shit again. Watch a couple of dipshits burn the clock and hug it out for $100 million. Conor is a brawler and a personality you certainly can't justify his 'talent' at that price, it's purely entertainment value.

He can't kick or tackle or grapple Floyd so it's already over. If they'd fight with fewer rules then maybe it'd be worth the PPV.

This is only happening because Floyd realized he couldn't charter separate jets for his luggage at the rate he burns cash once he retires for good.

Mayweather/GGG would have been a far better fight. This is about money, the MMA crowd in middle America will pay to watch for once.

I could care less even if Conor KOed Floyd.

The UFC LW division has been in limbo since he got fast tracked to a title shot. That is the most stacked division and yet they can't put together any compelling fights waiting around for Conor with fighters avoiding fights all of a sudden.

I really wanted to see Conor actually defend a title for once and it be vs Tony ferguson. That fight would be nuts.

Mayweather gets one of the easiest fights of his career and another huge payday.

McGregor valiantly loses and gets paid more money in one fight than any other MMA fighter has made in his entire career. Also the loss won't look bad at all, because after the fight people will say, "for a guy who isn't a professional boxer he did pretty well."

I don't know why anyone would watch this.

Could McGregor take down Mayweather once without getting instantly disqualified? If so, it might be worth it just for entertainment value.
