I think this is worth mentioning. It's ILLEGAL to take a local woman up to your hotel room. The hotel front desk workers get paid by the cops to report you... so they do it all the time. 90% chance you get a girl up to your room and start getting hot and heavy... then the cops knock on the door. You pay a fine and the girl runs off and is so embarrassed she never talks to you again! The cops will treat her like a hooker!

Make sure your hotel is cool with local girls as guests before hand... or rent an apartment where it's Ok.

Other tips. Never hold your cell phone out. People will snatch it from your hand as they drive by on a scooter. Expect people will jack up prices on you. Watch for pickpockets. Those are some of the basics.

I'm not sure if it's true or not, but there are definitely many hotels that designate themselves as "girl-friendly" so it's a non-issue, it takes minimal research to figure out which ones they are. Of course their primary clientele is the older Vietnamese dudes that want to take hookers up there, but they should be perfectly fine with you taking a regular girl (whom they might think is a hooker, but they obvs wouldn't say anything).

As for the rest.. yeah beware of pickpockets.. they even snatch from local VNese chicks.. finally stay away from driving around the empty areas of Saigon at night (like that giant circle) where cops will stop you incessantly and ask for bribes. Literally worse than gangsters.

Just come back from Vietnam had time of my life done the Cu Chi tunnels and Ho Chi minh and I also went to Phu Quoc Island stayed at the Shells resort which was awesome and also met Vietnamese girl who I was pipelining way before my trip.

I stayed at Icon 56 apartment off airbnb in district 4 fantastic building with amazing rooftop pool and was quite good for the price also has a store to get general bits next door and 24 hour security. Also stayed in Liberty Central riverside hotel also equally amazing rooftop pool and service was fantastic staff were so friendly (never will forget asia for this asian hospitality is best I have seen granted I only traveled europe before this)

Only thing I didnt like with the hotel was I was in non smoking room but smoke fumes come into my room through vents only way to get rid was have the aircon on permanently all the time.

Saigon was nice never felt unsafe and I walked everywhere getting used to traffic was hard at first but soon become natural but my senses were used way more then any other city I have been to. I did not see a car accident or bike accident which I thought was pretty amazing and I also never saw anyone getting robbed despite all that I had read on the place.

Escaping to Phu Quoc island was amazing The Shells resort was top class its in middle of nowhere so apart from taxi for day to see sights there wasnt much else to do but it was lush. Only thing I didnt like at times depending on the tide was all the rubbish in the sea bringing brought in the tide towards the beach it was abit disgusting in truth and put dampner on such amazing resort.

It's been a long time since I was there as a single guy. Maybe things have changed. I looked it up and most people report the same as you that it isn't a problem. I stand corrected.

I had better results in Hanoi than HCMC. Hanoi is smaller and better for logistics, in HCMC stay around district 1 but even then it's not straight forward as it's like a mega city with more busy people and much larger in size.

On anothet note, why are there never any good flight deals on flights from China to HCMC?

At the end of the trip i will post some unique/interesting insights. But yes knowing the language has definitely helped. I also have a couple of high value things going on, but ineterestingly that may be adversely affecting my time to close.

The thing I notice about viet nam is that there are a lot of average looking girls that are skinny, and being skinny is enough of a reason for me to bang them. Here in Canada the girls are a bit thicker.

Just talked to a Vietnamese woman from Ho Chi Minh at the gym. I live in a major US city, and for whatever reason the Vietnamese, both immigrants and children of immigrants, are the largest population of EA or SEA in the city. Way more than even Chinese, which are probably the second largest group. The only place I've heard of more is LA or more accurately Orange County.

She was probably in her 40's but VERY hot. Pale Vietnamese skin (I've only seen that particular shade among Vietnamese women as far as SEA goes). A great body, nice sized tits for a SEA and a nice ass. She was in the wet area (sauna/pool) and she still looked like she has perfectly done makeup. Needless to say I have a thing for Vietnamese women even though I'm not super yellow fever. Definitely a 7, would be higher if she was younger.
