Recently there has been a very large wave of immigration to Australia. Unfortunately, a lot of Indian men have concentrated themselves in the city and killing nightlife in some areas. Speed dating, for example, has been completely killed off by the sleazy Indian guys driving off girls, and hence guys.

These guys are dirt poor, here on student visas to study accounting but in reality working at 7/11 for $10/hour. They heckle women and can't take a hint.

This has driven the decent parties out of the CBD unless they are relatively high end venues, and into the white suburbs and private house parties. Unfortunately, this leads to the side effect that many backpackers, even cute girls, are unable to crack into this scene in time and don't get the right Melbourne experience.

If coming to Melbourne prepare for a long multi-year slog to crack into this scene. Ideally, you will have your own warehouse in an industrial area to have parties.

Come on man, I find it hard to believe the Indians can do that much damage. You speak as if they're a bunch of Zombies from the Walking Dead! I've been to Melbourne a few times and know for a fact that the bigger clubs are still pumping with talent if you're young enough to enjoy that. Anywhere in Australia is going to be hell for 35+ year olds- that's been well established here. I've also always had success with the girls on holiday from the clubs in Crown Casino.

We have a niche for everyone in Melbourne, and if you're into Asians, there's more of them than you can poke an Introduction to Macroeconomics textbook at, even if you were to stick to FOBs. From what you've said, you're probably gamier than pretty much every Asian international student in Melbourne. But while one can go through their entire degree without ever knowing someone of a different skin colour within a social setting, as 90% of Asians invariably do -- even the more Westernised ones such as Singaporeans and Malaysians -- I'd really recommend against it, especially if you're going to Unimelb. Massive campus culture there. Similarly with housing, unless your folks are arranging that for you, try not to look for exclusively Asian housemates.

Try not to have a very FOBby dress sense, even if you still prefer to stick to Asian birds. Having huge branding on polo shirts and backpacks etc. are a faux pas too.

Also whatever ideas your parents/peers may have given about racism, it'll be bullshit.

Since you're extroverted and and coming here with no connections I recommend that you apply to live in one of the Melbourne Uni halls of residence i.e. Trinity College, International House, etc. Halls of Residence are massively social places that have heaps of parties and events and this will introduce you to a massive amount of people right from the get go and keep you partying throughout the year.

I lived in halls of residence for 2 years, had a blast and it's where I made most of my closest friends. It also introduces you to a wide cross section of degrees so you won't be confined to people within the same degree as you.
Then once you've had enough of halls and/or need to get serious with studying, you'll have plenty of people to move out and find a share house with.

On top of living in Halls I recommend that you join a few university societies for further social exposure. Whatever hobbies you have I'm sure there is a university society built around it. Arts and Engineering societies are also good ones to join even though you aren't studying in those areas because they have lots of parties and other social events.

First year uni is a joke so get out there and meet as many people as possible. You're never going to have such exposure to girls in the 18 - 23 year old bracket as you will while at uni so make the most of it.

This would also be the first time I would be visiting a city that I have absolutely no clue about. I have zero connections(as of now) and can only hope my personality(which is thankfully extroverted) brings me places. I do all kind of girls but I do have a preference for Asian girls. Forget about the international students, they're usually boring idiots. What you would want to focus on instead is the Working Holiday types from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan and Thailand. They will consider you exotic, play up the Korean card a little bit if you can. I don't know where they congregate in Melbourne, but in Sydnet they can be found along Pitt St and the city in general. Get good logistics such as a 1 bedroom apartment or relatively independant sharehouse and your pad will be a resort compared to the squalor that they live in.

Buy a car. The nicer the car, the better, but if you're really on the bones of your arse money wise you can always buy a run around for <$2k.

You could potentially try with the ABCs, but I'm highly doubtful as they are an uptight bunch that culturally consider themselves far more Australian than Asian.

Speaking purely about Australian girls, a lot of them are racist and a few females I've dated have openly admitted that they could never find Asian guys attractive no matter how good looking they're meant to be in their culture. Then they'll go jump on the nearest black cock for the "experience". Figure that out.

Having said that, I'm sure there are still many here with yellow fever but it's going to be an uphill battle finding them- Australia is one of the worst countries for an Asian to come to if they want white girls. If you're happy to date other Asians (which we have in boat loads- both Fob and westernised) completely different story.

The best thing you can do is get in the gym, gain some muscle, learn some dark triad skills, separate yourself from other Asian Fob's with dress style, and pretty much play the aggressive, caveman game that Aussie women are so attracted to. Also target the more cultured and sophisticated European girls which you should be able to find, especially at a university. I apologize in advance for our women- they are really frustrating/unfeminine creatures.

I should clarify that most students in Halls of Residence are local Aussies, not FOB's. There are regulations that only allow 30% of the spots to go to overseas students (you'll get Americans and Europeans as well), so halls of residence are great for gaming locals.

Most FOB's live off campus in share houses that cram ridiculous numbers of them into tiny apartments and town houses.

I can't talk personally as I'm white but unfortunately I don't think gaming white girls is going to be easy for you. White Aussie girls don't have a thing for Asian guys (unlike for black dudes) and I've never heard "yellow fever" being used here in reference to a girl.
Anecdotely I don't know a single mixed couple where the guy is Asian and the girl is white. Although I know plenty the other way around (White guy, Asian girl).
Every Asian guy I know or see on the street is dating an Asian girl. Even the ones born and raised here.

My advice would be to hit the gym so you're not a skinny twig like most other Asian dudes, dress like a local and go for it like normal.
