Reddit has always been an anti-testosterone zone anyway, let it burn.

The thing that these tech companies don't understand is that people will gladly use your free service, but when it comes time to try to get them to pay money, people will likely leave in droves. Think of snapchat, tinder, whatsapp, twitter, etc. They command sky high valuations but most if not all of these companies have never turned a profit. My guess is that in attempt to make more money from reddit, they are attempting to clean up the platform and turn it into a "safe space", whatever the hell that means. The problem is that the freedom is what made the platform popular in the first place. Expect them to not realize their mistakes, but to double down and hasten the demise.

The new silicon valley won't be in the US because the US is increasingly anti-free speech, which ironically contributes to the success of many of these platforms. I predict that Twitter will eventually ban most of the RPers just because they're moving in similar directions in other areas.
The reality is that if social media will continue to exist, it must start outside the US and without any US involvement. Voat learned the hard way, and right now they're down when they need to be up.
Unfortunately, I don't know of a country that truly supports free speech, so many of these ideas will probably have to foster in small communities that stay off the SJW radar for a while. The thing is that there's money to be made with these platforms, but where to start it?

I'm glad to see more reddit drama unfolding. I was concerned that the whole FPH thing had blown over and that reddit would survive. Now it seems they've over reached yet again, and this time even the average reddit reading neckbeard is forced to notice.
Fuck reddit. I've longed for the day that piece of shit website dies. Seems like it's not so far off now. In my opinion reddit has had a more than marginal influence on corrupting the already fucked up millennial generation. Reddit has been at the forefront of pushing left wing bullshit since it became popular several years back. It encouraged groupthink and moral relativism, liberal/ socialist ideas in both the economic and cultural spheres. It's high time those dipshits got a taste of reality.
Reddit has had more influence on the mainstream culture than most people think, and it's all negative. The whole athiestkult/ neckbeard/brony/ otherkin / transceptance/ fat acceptance/ anti slutshaming/ gay mafia bullshit ALL seemed to coalesce into one big hivemind once reddit came around.
The upside is it makes it easy to spot the mindless drones.
I hope reddit declares bankruptcy tomorrow.

That Victoria person got fired because the Jesse Jackson AMA did not go as expected.
One of the Reddit users asked him some well-deserved scathing questions, Victoria (presumably) pasted some canned response that had nothing to do with them, and the theory goes that Jackson saw this and threatened to sue them if someone didn't get axed.

Why would she do that? Doesn't really make much sense.

As much as I hate to say it, i don't think Reddit will die. A good portion of the free thinkers will bounce, but the ones that remain will be the obnoxious folks that made reddit trash to begin with.
Have the Redpill or PUA sub reddits been closed yet?
Nothing would make me happier than seeing Voat grow.

In other news- Digg sold today for 500K... and at one point was valued at 160 MILLION.

Digg's present is Reddit's future.

Who paid $160 million for Digg?
Did someone by it at $160m or was it just valued at that price?
If it's the latter, I'd be climbing inside a bottle of gin right now if I was the guy who opted not to sell for over 100 million.

Reddit is a platform run by a power-hungry Asian divorcee who sued her company for 'sexual harrassment' a few years after she remarried a black bisexual hedge fund manager who won a lawsuit for 'racial discrimination' against his employer and later went on to get arrested for financial impropriety.
Who could ever imagine such a woman ruining a well-established website with her totalitarian politics?

So this is how reddit ends...not with a bang, but with a PAO!
