The big takeaway more than anything is that when you're being labelled as a hate group by (((them))), it means the movement is real and if the movememts real, it means real change can be enacted.

We should get an in-house record label with talented rock & hip hop artists and diss the sh*t outta these idiots. Hell, Tupac used to do it before his untimely demise in the 90's. Remember when he dissed C. Delores Tucker? She wanted to shut down gangsta rap (a macho artform from the urban world at that time). And Tupac is considered a legendary figure in music. LOL, probably not practical, but wishful thinking.

A few pages back I posted a letter from filmmaker Cassie Jaye to the SPLC, asking why A Voice For Men was once considered a blog and not a hate site, is now a hate site.

Well she got her answer.
They added her to their "Male Supremacy" page.
Quote:Quote:
Most recently, Cassie Jaye, an American documentary filmmaker became a men’s rights activist after producing The Red Pill documentary, a foray into the world of men’s rights activists. As David Futrelle, who monitors the manosphere on his blog “We Hunted the Mammoth”, decried, Jaye accepted funding directly from MRAs, notably taking money from Paul Elam and from regulars of the violently anti-woman The Red Pill subreddit, a misogynistic forum on Reddit. The misogynistic conspiracy theorist, Mike Cernovich, donated $10,000 to become an associate producer. The documentary, which sees Jaye interviewing MRAs and never challenging them on their myriad of misogynistic positions, sparked outrage in Australia. A campaign denouncing it as “misogynistic propaganda” succeeded in getting the film dropped by an Australian cinema. In the US, The Village Voice reportedly refused to run paid ads for the film in its paper.
Prominently featured in the film is rape apologist Paul Elam, the founder of one of the most virulent misogynistic websites feeding the men’s rights activist movement, A Voice for Men (AVFM). It publishes a plethora of writers decrying feminism and blaming women for a diversity of ills, often with violent rhetoric. Elam, one of the most public faces of the men’s rights movement, is most famously known for declaring October to be “Bash a Violent Bitch month” — he later called the piece satirical but has been republishing it every October with equally violent introductions. He has claimed that were he to serve on a jury for a men accused of rape, he would automatically declare the defendant not guilty, regardless of the facts of the case.

After watching her TedX talk, I actually feel quite angry on Cassie's behalf. There's probably enough for her to mount a legal challenge against that slander. And for A Voice For Men at being labelled a hate group. As far as I'm aware, Maajid Nawaz is suing them for similar.

^ Nawaz has some blindspots, but I don't think he's fake. He's a non-religious liberal, as evidenced by his personal life.

Zel, Nawaz might be a spliff smoking narcissist, even a spurious exaggerator, who likes the sound of his own voice, but he's not a threat. He's definitely not an Islamist extremist, Islamist extremists hate him. Most everyday Muslims hate him. He gets drunk and goes to strip clubs, is friends with non-Muslims, and I highly doubt he's in any way religious at all. He only says "my faith of Islam" to deflect SJWs. I enjoy his radio show, and find him an engaging speaker. You know I like Tommy Robinson, and Nawaz has indeed criticised him, but only when he's sometimes over stepped the mark. And, like I said, he's a liberal, so of course he doesn't advocate closing borders etc. I do think the name of the organisation is a bit odd, I agree, though I think you might find
this article, which references the one you posted, interesting:

Quilliam have the unenviable task of appearing liberal (their propaganda currency) whilst pleasing their right-wing financiers. It’s a complicated balancing act full of spin and sleight-of-hand. They must create a progressive facade from where they can punch left, ostensibly from the left, to create fractures and divisions. It is this duplicity and hypocrisy which the right and the far-right have misdiagnosed as evidence of Nawaz being a Taqiyya-peddling stealth Islamist. The most recent of these attacks against Quilliam was an especially poor effort by ex Muslim Shazia Hobbs on the anti-Islam site Jihadwatch. She inanely uses the Quilliam Foundation’s choice of title as the smoking-gun of Quilliam’s secret Islamist plot. The conspiracy itself is ludicrous but Quilliam’s habit of talking out of both sides of their mouth and Nawaz’s embroidered backstory lends credibility.
We're going to have to agree to disagree on this, because both of us have opinions that are unlikely to be swayed, unless some enormous discovery came to light.

Yes - we have to disagree. Nawaz is dangerous on other levels - he is more akin to the Muslim Brotherhood who come in suits and ties pretending to be secular. He may as well be, but the smoking gun is not the very name Quilliam, but more the actions of his and his organisation. Attacking Tommy Robinson and any Islam-critic, separating between Islam and Islamism when everyone who knows Islam is aware that you cannot separate those two - those are the smoking guns. That guy will end up UK being mired in Islamic rape shitholes.

His delineation between Islam and Islamism is right, Islam wasn't political for a incredibly long periods*. He explains in his own book how his parents weren't even particularly religious, and definitely weren't into political Islam. Look at Iran before the revolution, Afghanistan too...Islamism (aside from the conquest years) is a relatively new phenomenon. Anyway, you know my thoughts and I won't post about him anymore in this thread as it's pretty pointless, whether I'm correct or incorrect.
*Though the scripture was, yes.
Edit: please don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely in favour of banning Islam if needs be.
