Shootouts are such a faggot way to end an Olympic Gold medal game. I don't even see the point of Women's hockey in the Olympics, it's a Canada USA final basically every time.
I don't think it's fair to the players or fans.

^^^^^
No surprise the countries with the most masculine women routinely win the hockey gold-silver. They ought to get it over with and finally allow checking in USA-Canada womens' games.

I would expect Norway, Sweden, Canada and any other arctic country to consistently do well in the winter Olympics, but what's up with Finland? They only have three bronze medals so far, and all by women competitors. Does Finland not have as much of an athletic tradition or organization?
Finish men have all become urban hipsters is my impression.
As opposed the hard drinking, hard fighting and stoic men they used to be. Finland used to dominate ski jumping, but now it seems the sport is totally dead there. They still have ice hockey though.

FYI: Norway, Sweden, and Canada don’t have conscription
Finland still requires men to serve in the military. One of the perks of sharing a border with Russia.
Norway has conscription also, but they have a special division/troop for talented athletes.

Son of a bitch can any of these queers say "I'm proud to represent America" instead of "I'm proud to represent the lgtbt community" all the damn time. This is the gay Olympics. Mike pence gotta hate being so attached to this crap.

Those 2 Russian skaters were stone cold. You could see on their faces that they were locked in and would kill it on the ice. Watching a 15 year old girl with such poise and confidence is incredible.
The American girls were such a disappointment. One of them couldn't stop talking about appearing Dancing with the Stars with her gay skating buddy after she just lost. Someone should have told her to win a medal first then get on the show.

BFFLs Brittany and Kelsey, pride of the Laurentians,
snag top two spots in ski cross, flashing their pearlies
and rocking the plaid ...best ski outfits evah.
Happy for the Germans getting to the hockey final,
I'm not sure if a bunch of guys ever looked this stoked
to get there, hats off.
And FUCK YOU, Bettman.

A routine worth watching.
Reminds me of another Russian teenager who came out of nowhere to get the gold. Maybe less technical back in the day, but damn this girl had enough charisma to fill any stadium.

The Swedish men's curling team looks aesthetic as fuck, like Team Iceland from D2: The Mighty Ducks. Team U.S. looked like a group of dudes got drunk in a VFW hall one night and decided to something wild like form a curling team.

I hope that Russia doesn't actually try and pretend that this hockey win counts.
Disappointing Olympics for Canada in some ways but a good overall medal count. Anything less than Gold in hockey or curling is considered a total failure.

Sure we all have our feelings about the gays, but this Gus Kenworthy looks like a tough little queer.
He went straight from this mountain climbing show called ultimate expedition (which is worth illegally downloading) to wing a silver medal with a broken hand and his sexy little body all bruised to shit. You can google the pictures.
Too bad he had to bring all the gay crap into it, or he'd be an American hero. Like Greg Louganis.
Edit: OK he didn't win a medal. This thing I'm watching keeps calling him "silver medalist" but that was in Russia, where he is illegal.

I was really psyched to watch a bunch of winter sports this time, and I did get to see a lot. This is the first year I actually watched curling, and it's pretty interesting. I particularly liked the skating, which has always been one of my favorites. I don't know if it's just a subjective impression, but I thought the skating was more artistically interesting this year.
It was ridiculous how much the network, the athletes, and the advertisers all tried to beat me over the head with their SJW bullshit from start to finish. I'm glad they lost a shit ton of money. I hope the business people who have to pay for this shit finally start thinking this cultural wave of SJWism has finally jumped the shark. However, I suspect they're going to keep doubling down. Fine. Let them all go broke.

I feel bad for Germany in the hockey final. They played their hearts out and were 56 seconds away from Olympic gold.

What I wrote about Vonn earlier in the thread is confirmed:
Quote:Fox News Wrote:
Single Lindsey Vonn can't find a suitable date
She may be lucky on the ski slope but she's not as lucky when it comes to finding love.
Lindsey Vonn revealed in a new interview she's struggling to find a date. The Olympian most recently dated former NFL assistant coach Kenan Smith.
...The athlete admitted that she had her eyes on actor Michael B. Jordan after they met through their mutual stylist but the timing didn't work out.
"He’s very cute. My stylist - he’s trying to facilitate. I’m trying to get the ball rolling on this one, but it hasn’t happened and he’s already shooting his next movie," she said.
