Data Sheet: Bucharest (October 2017)

Hello chaps,

I've been a long time reader of this site and found it incredibly useful so thought I would give something back to the community. I'm a 32 year old divorced father of one. I'm English but grew up in Canada so I have dual CAN/UK citizenship. I'm currently living in Zug, Switzerland (fantastically low taxes....incredibly ugly women!). I'm 5'9 and weigh 180 lbs, I'm blonde with blue eyes, I lift and play ice hockey so I'm in decent shape but I wouldn't class myself as muscular. I have a beta-male round face and a weak jaw line (picture the cartoon character Tin-Tin and that's pretty much me!). I'm an investor so I'm desk-bound Monday to Friday but I try to travel as much as I can on the weekends when I don't have my child. I tend to run a mild form of "high roller" game which has its pros and cons. I make a mid 6-figure salary, dress well (typically suit game), and have the typical "banker" trappings such as a flashy car and a Rolex.

Now, on to the good stuff. I spent a week in Bucharest in late October and had a great time there. I ended up with 3 bangs in 7 nights. Before going into the nitty gritty details of my trip, I want to share a few observations that you all might find useful.

1) Work does not pay well in Romania: So what, you may be asking, why does this matter? Unlike in the West where studying hard and going to University and landing a good job can lead to an upper class lifestyle (think doctor, lawyer, Wall Street banker) there aren't really a lot of opportunities for smart Romanians to make it big through work in Romania. Most of the jobs here are low-level IT jobs or back office banking jobs that have been outsourced from expensive Western countries to cheap places like Romania. Professionals like doctors and lawyers don't make much more than the average person, despite putting in a lot of effort to get those jobs. The people who are making big bucks in Romania tend to be corrupt businessmen and politicians, scammers, drug dealers & pimps (at the high end), and footballers. The end result of this is that working is looked down upon. If you have to work for a living you're viewed as either not smart enough to scam people for a living, or not good looking enough (if you're a woman) to be sponsored by a rich guy. As a result of this, the best and brightest Romanians leave the country as soon as they can to take up jobs in Western Europe.

2) Women know that their pussy has monetary value: Romania is the whore factory of Europe with many young girls going to work as pros in Western Europe. In the top brothels in Switzerland, these girls can make up to 20K a month lying on their backs getting ploughed by fat old bankers. When these girls return to Romania, with a couple 100K in savings, a nice apartment fully paid for and a new car, other girls start asking questions. "How does she have that lifestyle with no education and no job?" This reinforces point #1 above. The girls, even the non-pros, realize that they are better off using their pussy for money than studying hard and trying to get a good job. Why bother trying to become a doctor or lawyer when you can make big bucks lying on your back for a couple of years.

3) The women: are mostly brunettes with brown eyes. I would say that blonde guys will do well here as you will stand out. The girls have nice legs and tend to dress sexy but not slutty (not a lot of cleavage on display). I saw a lot of high heels during the day which I love. The downsides are that the women smoke like crazy and have bad teeth. One thing I notice comparing western girls to EE girls is that, due to having more money, western girls dress better, have better makeup, have their hair done, and can afford to fix their teeth. Unfortunately many of them are fat so this cancels out those positives. EE girls, on the contrary, tend to have great figures and pretty faces but lack that polished look you get with the high end girls back home.

4) The local guys: Generally people are quite short in Romania so, despite being under 6 foot, I felt slightly above average haha. The guys do not approach and generally rely on social circles to meet girls. I had no issues with the local guys and found them quite friendly to me. The average guy has brown/black hair and brown eyes and doesn't lift. generally I didn't see too many muscle men around town.

5) ONS culture and English: Although I managed to get a SNL in Bamboo club, I found it difficult to get a bang without at least getting to the second date. The local guys told me that generally there is no ONS culture here and that met my expectations from what other forum members have posted. English levels are good and almost everyone under 30 spoke some English. Many TV shows and movies are shown in English with Romanian subtitles so Romanians are exposed to the language from an early age.

6) Bucharest the city: Apparently it was voted to be the ugliest city in Europe back in 2011 and I can fully concur with that statement. The city used to be called the Paris of Eastern Europe and you can still see some of the remnants of that in the architecture. However, the city was bombed during WW2 (by both the allies and the Germans) and unfortunately was rebuilt in typical communist fashion with loads of ugly concrete tower blocks. There is no real tourism industry in Bucharest with Romania focusing its tourist efforts on Brasov and other prettier cities in Transylvania.

7) A few thoughts on "high roller" game: Before I head to a city I check the p4p rates of the high-end pros (the 9's and 10's) so I have a rough idea of what the going price of sex is. When I'm out in clubs running this kind of game I refuse to spend any more than what an hour of guaranteed sex with a 9 or 10 would cost me. I find with high roller game it's a game of cat and mouse. As a guy you want to spend as little as possible and bang, as a chick you want to extract as much cash as you can without giving up the bang. If I'm not able to convince a woman that I "might" be a good sponsor based on my appearance then I just cut my losses and move on. If a girl starts asking for pricy bottles or dinners, again I move on. A high end p4p girl in Bucharest is looking for about 500 RON (125 Swiss Francs) for an hour. I was spending around 200 RON (50 Francs) a night in the high end clubs on drinks for myself and the girl I banged from Bamboo Club.

Now, on to the actual action...

1) Online game: I pipelined using Tinder, Badoo, and Couchsurfing about a week before I arrived in Bucharest. I had minimal success on Tinder and Badoo but YMMV. Surprisingly, I had a lot of luck with Couchsurfing. I managed to get 2 dates off this site and one of my bangs was from here. The best part about Couchsurfing is not so much the girls but the events that are hosted. Local Romanian guys basically set up pub crawls through the Old Town every weekend and they use this avenue to try and pull tourist girls. I showed up to one of these events on a Thursday night and had a great time. Most of the guys who attend these events will be betas with no game so if you have any sort of game you should be able to work the group. I had a German exchange student basically offering it to me by night-end but she was at best a 6 so I declined. Also, quite a few local Romanian women attend these events too hoping to meet a foreign guy so I would make an effort to attend at least one of these events (typically run from Thursday night to Saturday night).

2) The Old Town: I think this place is highly overrated and a tourist trap full of scammers. It's still worth going to for a bit of fun and some of the bars are nice and it does guarantee crowds every night of the week. The problem with the Old Town is that (i) it's full of tourists so you won't meet good local girls there, (ii) it's crawling with ugly street walking prostitutes who pester you constantly, and (iii) the bars are full of scammers. I discovered this on my second night out. I went to a few bars/clubs two nights in a row and saw exactly the same girls in the same bars as I saw the previous night. They were local Romanian girls and very good looking and, of course, very friendly. After chatting to a few of them they told me that they work in these clubs attempting to get guys to buy them drinks. They get a cut from the bar from the money spent. As soon as you make it clear that you have zero intention of buying them drinks they move on to the next chump. I actually saw one poor black guy fall into this trap. There were these two stunning girls standing by the bar and I saw him buying them each a cocktail. As soon as he had finished handing over the cash to the barman the chicks were gone, chatting to two new guys. I gave him a quick look of condolence knowing that we've all been there at one point in our lives. Another thing to watch out for are the pimps. Each of these girls is working for a guy and he takes a cut from her cut. Generally the pimps sit in the bars but away from the girls, just close enough to keep an eye on them. They all dress the same so they are easy to spot (backward baseball hat, black leather jacket, hard man look on their faces). If you make a wrong move on one of these girls you might get some unwanted attention from the locals haha.

3) The high end clubs: There are 4 high end clubs in Bucharest. They are Bamboo, Fratelli, BOA, and Players Club. There used to be a club called the Bellagio but it has since closed down AFAIK. If you want to meet the local 8/9/10's you need to go to these places. Now, you need to understand how these clubs work. Basically they are not dance clubs as one would imagine in the West. These clubs have no real dance floors, they are just rooms full of tables for ordering bottle service. The purpose of these clubs is to allow Romania's "new money" to show off its wealth by sitting in VIP areas spending large sums of money on bottles. This is a bit of a conundrum. On the one hand these places have the best girls, but on the other hand they are hard to get access to. The girls basically sit in their mixed groups around a table snapping duck face poses into their iPhones to post on Instagram while the guys sit there and drink.

Basically you have three types of girls in these clubs. Type 1 are the high end girls who are "sponsored" by the wealthiest Romania guys. These are the best looking girls and they know it. They never leave the table area so it's hard to approach them.

Type 2 are what I call the "club bitches." These are girls who come to the clubs desperate to find a local sponsor to convert them into a Type 1 girl. These girls spend the bulk of their disposable income on trying to look good enough to find that rich local guy that they crave. These girls hang out at the bar or near the tables and are easy to approach. You can run "high-roller" game on these chicks and try to con them into thinking that you might be a potential sponsor. I actually got a bang from this in Bamboo Club. I rolled in wearing a suit and with my blonde hair it was obvious that I was a foreigner. I wear nice shoes (women always notice a guys shoes) and a Rolex so I fit the image of a "potential sponsor" so if you want to play this game you have to look the part.

Type 3 girls are the nice girls from well to do families who have money and are out for a good night to have fun with their friends. They tend to be students or have good jobs and are looking for well-educated family oriented guys for LTRs. These girls generally don't sit at the tables but hang out around the bar area. They are easy to approach and generally willing to talk to you. They dress less slutty than the Type 2's so you can distinguish between the two. These girls are great if you live in Bucharest and are looking for a LTR, but I found them unwilling to commit much time to a guy who was not from there. I met a beautiful lawyer at Player Club who spoke perfect English and we chatted the night away but then, like a flash, she just got up, kissed me, grabber her coat and left. Later her friend told me that she didn't want to get too carried away as she knew I would be leaving and she didn't just want to be another notch in my book.

4) Street Game: I spent the days wondering up and down the Boulevard Ion C. Bratianu which is the main street that runs through the city. There is a large shopping centre at the bottom of the street and the University at the top of it. It takes about 20 minutes to walk up and down. The main problem with street approaches here is that the women either walk with their heads in their phones, are talking on their phones, or listening to music from their phones. I would say that only 1 in every 5 girls you would want to approach is actually not on her phone. Anyway I found the women easy to approach and all very friendly. I didn't get any blowouts or bitchy attitudes. Having said that, I also didn't get any dates out of it so it was more for fun. My street game is not that great so some of you guys with better game might have more success. Funnily enough I only saw one other guy in my whole week there doing street approaches and when I went to speak to him it turned out he was a local Romanian guy who had been watching game tutorials online.

5) Café game: There is a Second Cup coffee shop right across from the University as you exit the University metro station. The street is called Regina Elisabeta. This place is a gold mine full of young students at almost any time of the day. I would head there with a book and just sit there for hours reading and drinking coffee and checking out the babes. The only issue here is you have to space out your approaches so that the girl you just spoke to doesn't see you speaking to every other girl. I managed to get a date out of this with an architect student but unfortunately it was at the end of the week so I didn't have time for a second date.

I went there approximately 10 years ago, I think it was 2008 summer or 2007 summer. City was alright but a lot of people would go to Costanza (seaside city) from Bucharest on Thursday's until Sunday because we were surprise how Bucharest was empty on Friday's.

Then, they told us that everyone goes to Constanza on weekends, that's why it's empty. It took us like 3-4 hours to go to Constanza by bus and beach bars are buzzing. A lot of hot girls were dancing and drinking all weekend pretty much. We got few hookups there but I don't really remember how many because it's been 10 years ago.

But, Bucharest didn't impress me at all even though it was summer. I bet it would even worse in winter because city looked so corrupted to me once we were there.

There were some weird things with Romanian people. We would go to restaurant and waiter wouldn't come for 40 mins to take the order. Finally, if someone comes to take your order, they would disappear again for another hour, basically food would come 2 hours later. We thought that choice of restaurant was wrong but it happened to us several times at different places. They are very relaxed people.

You would take taxi and show him the address, driver would basically say, No I wouldn't drive there. It's very short distance, get out. I'm like dude you're taxi, it's your job. It was a weird experience.

Ovechkin,

Could you write a data sheet about Zug in the Life section?

(About the taxes and business...not the women)

I'm in Bucharest right now and can agree with 90% of what OP said. Girls tend to be quite flaky here (probably been burnt by multiple foreign dudes). The average is quite low (compared to Kiev), but you will turn your head every now and then looking at a hottie.

I'm here for the next 3 weeks, so if anyone wants to connect, let me know.

I have been to Bucharest a few times before, I am planning to go again in Feb or March. What OP said is accurate, the highest quality girls in terms of looks and quality are from well to do families, therefore it takes alot time and efforts, and the reason that I have been coming back to Romania [Image: smile.gif] All of these efforts to get girls that are 2 points higher than what I could get in the West.

Does anyone have recent intel on the club scene?
Face club opened last year and it looks very promising

Seems like most bottle service clubs starting around 200-250€ for a table which is okay as long at the table section is not to isolated.

I posted this message in another thread, but hell, it fits here too. So why not [Image: smile.gif]

I think Ovechkin pretty much summed it up. Thats all you need to know. Did he mention ONS is hard too. But its always worth trying. If I still remember the nights I went out, all I got was some kissing and phone numbers. Since my time is pretty much limited (I only roam in weekends), anything beyond a ONS wont work for me.

Id steer away from Bucharest. Western influence and attitude is rife. In some areas and clubs its even worst. Bitch shield high indeed.

The funny thing is, you usually can see where they are heading with their outfits and attitude (spoilers: western/US chicks) but they usually dont get there. Quality and style is a let down (you can see through the heavy cheap make up, and the outfits). All this is usually forgiven and forgotten if the girl has a soft/feminine/caring attitude. But unfortunatly they dont have that either.

So all you are left with, is a cheaper version wanna be western chicks.

English level is very good. Bitch shield is high too. Id say have a good reason to be there.

Prices are high. Gold digging high too.

I Know a Finnish guy who recently went down to Bucharest and was raving about Tinder and the attention he was getting. Said he nearly cried as he landed in Finland where obesity + hipsterism are out of control.

Oh yeah, in the beauty scale, these chick looks beautiful. I mean dont get me wrong, (the make up is too much though) they have pretty faces, usually dark/brownish complexions.

There is this fancy gym (franchise) is called World Class (got pools, sauna etc..), is pretty much where all the best looking chicks go too. Most of them are well off. I must say its where you can gauge the quality of the local talent. If you dont like it, then ill bet my balls you wont find anything better in Bucharest.

I was in Bucharest March this year, just as the snow was clearing. Granted I was there for s stag, across 3 days, I didn't make it obvious we, or at least I, was there for a stag.

Long and short of it, I agree with Ovechkin on almost all of what he said. In London there are a lot of Romanians doing menial jobs as well as being Uber drivers. I've always found them to be decent folk who go about their business. However, their rep; has taken a hit based on their loitering and petty crime.

Re: the women. ONS are hard as fuck from what I witnessed. Myself and a fewothers went to one of those top clubs, I think it was BOA. Table service galore. Chicks looked good, but for the most part, the 6/7s you'd see by the bar, didn't make it easy for you. You'd get a number easy enough, but then you'd almost have to put in ground work over time.

Just got back from a week in Bucharest. I'm a game noob but I feel like gaming here is more difficult than usual. Nightlife is mediocre and girls are not enthusiastic about strangers in clubs -- go for daygame instead. Game aside, the city itself is... uninspired, to put it nicely (very nicely). I've heard from locals that they don't like the city either, especially compared to others in Romania.
