Bought an orbital sander today. Been slowly building up my tools since buying a house. Forgot how much fun wood projects are. Was fairly talented at it in highschool and retained a lot of knowledge.
Started the project and covered in saw dust. Feels great.

I played a video game called Squad, where you have the option to be a squad leader of 9 guys.
I successfully lead a squad and helped win the game using my German.*

So my weekend has had ups and downs.
On the one hand, I built better relations with a future roommate and business partner. On the other, the water pump in my truck broke.
I went to my buddy's wedding party, he eloped to St. John's in the Virgin Islands. I discovered he has a hot af cousin I want to bang.
My dad's car battery died, been spending half the day replacing it. But I'm learning something.
Power cut off for several hours, and I had a pressing deadline. Went to dinner with family and relaxed.

Found a still charged phone in the park a couple days ago.
Recharged it at home and tried to find out the owner, but it was blocked.
Returned it to the mobile phone provider I got from the sim-card - did not even leave my name. They said that they are going to find the person easily. Beats going to the cops.

Great thread, I really needed something like this and have some catching up to do.
Last couple years have been a crazy ride for me and I have slipped into some negative patterns.
I'm slowly but surely making a conscious effort to be appreciative, to make others happy when possible, to not sweat the small stuff and to not procrastinate the things that need to be done and can easily affect my life and happiness.
I've had back to back wonderful weekends with my girl and family. Things have gone wrong and not as planned, but looking back everything couldn't have turned out better. I have a ton going right for me and to be thankful for, it is a waste of my time to dwell on the negative! I have a great girl in my life and we are working to be a family. I have an amazing son that astonishes me and brightens my whole world. I have the most supportive family a guy could ask for. I have a great job, with a fair amount of freedom and believe along with that I am setting myself up for a great future!

Shot some more trap on Saturday, ended with a 23/25 round. Cleaned my shotgun after. BTW, unless you are shopping online, buy your gun cleaning instruments at Wal-Mart. The price is right, instead of paying double at fucking Cabela's or Bass Pro Shop.
Signed up for my hunter safety education course on Friday and started taking the online portion yesterday. Will be licensed to hunt in the state of CO by August 19th. Made plans with an experienced hunting friend to go dove hunting in September to get my feet wet before going for the big game.

That's solid trap shooting if you haven't been at it long. I suppose I've never shot trap, but at skeet shooting that'd be amazing. I think the highest I got was around 20/25 at skeet.
You'll enjoy bird hunting, it's a blast. Sporting clays, if you can find a course, are great prep for bird hunting.

Made some awesome gains at the gym yesterday. 10 PR on my squat and 20 lbs all time PR on DL. 315 and 375 respectively. Not huge numbers but for a novice only a year and a half into lifting I'm pretty stoked on my progress.

A reciprocal roof is:

A reciprocal roof is a beautiful and simple self-supporting structure that can be composed of as few as three rafters, and up to any imaginable quantity (within reason, of course). Reciprocal roofs require no center support, they are quick to construct, and they can be built using round poles or dimensional lumber (perhaps with some creative notching). They are extremely strong, perfect for round buildings, and very appropriate for living roofs, as well. The reciprocal roof design was developed by Graham Brown in 1987.

Almost had my first notch of August 2017 last night, and came almost as close as you can come. But some heavy LMR from her prevented it from happening
thread-24128-page-403.html
What's so good about this, you ask? Well, that I didn't rape her (that's a joke, Feminist lurkers).
Actually, the good news is that normally coming this close to a bang and NOT getting it would eat me up inside. I would second guess every little thing I did, and yes....I am doing that but the surprising thing is it's not eating at me as much as it would in the past.
I am simply finding myself not giving a fuck. I preach it so much not only here on these these boards but to my friends as well. And now, I'm really starting to heed my own advice.
Feels good to make progress.

I don't know what it is, but I'm in a great mood today. Breaking out into random dancing between sets of weight lifting and working.
Keep them good vibes rollin'.

Well, I can't top Pialox, but I just left a Fortune 500 firm where I hit a diversity cieling. Landed a better job, 20% better pay, better commute, better perqs, better appreciated. CEO is a Trumper.
I started my new job. 6th day on the job I get a call from a recruiter asking if I want to relocate to Charlotte. Its a high level job so they would pay all of my relo expenses including costs to sell my house. Its sort of a hassle to change again, so I tell them for this to work I would need $X, which is 55% above where I am now and 85% above where I was just a month ago. Recruiter says I'm squarely within their range, and we move to a screening interview, which I pass. Its day 7 and I'm at the next round already.

Since I'm starting night school this fall, I managed to get a required textbook for school off of Amazon for $12. I got Amazon Prime and used my Gift Card, so it only cost me $4.40.
