This pretty much says a lot why the movie did not tank and is not bad.
Gal Gadot pulls off the strong, but feminine vibe easily enough. Her lover died, but he would have died anyway due to her being immortal and he being a WWI pilot.
Actually they revved back a lot of feminist angles.
There are only a few propaganda points left like the Muslim man complaining that he could not become an actor in France of 1910 or the Indian guy complaining that white men had conquered his country. They had to put in those diversity points.
But all in all - they did not make it out to be as male-bashing as it could have been. Also they learned from Cuntbusters that putting up 3 post-wall women and a lesbian up and then telling men to like it or else - that this would not work.
The Amazonian utopia was of course mythical - only magic could produce such a female-only society.
That is why the movie will do well enough. And the feminists do not overly like it:

Piece of shit feminist writer thinks that Gal Gadot is too hot for it - should have picked a butch average one like in the Cuntbusters.
But then we would be looking at a 100 mio. $ loss again.

Another bitch who hates that she is hot.

Some of the Wonder Woman hullaballoo comes from the fact that such a hugely successful film was directed by a woman, which is nice. Much of the hullaballoo, however, comes from the assertion that Wonder Woman will empower women and encourage the positive “representation” of women that is supposedly so rare in Hollywood. It achieves this “representation,” apparently, by featuring a gorgeous woman clad in metal lingerie who effortlessly deflects bullets with her bracelets and eventually upends a giant tank. This, we are to assume, will immediately inspire millions of little girls across America to rush home and launch their own neighborhood STEM-research teams.

As a side note - Wonder Woman seems to be stationed in current day Paris now - plenty of Devout Muslim bashing she will have there.
