Khazir Khan can start looking as subleasing his office space and selling his computer and furniture. His sham Visas for jihadists law practice is done!

Kris Kobach as AG tells me immigration is the #1 priority for Trump, which is great.

I for one don't like Guliani for SoS or Sessions as SoD. Those guys should get the top posts based on how hard & long they stumped, but doesn't seem to be playing to their strengths.

Kris Kobach would be a great AG choice and 100% true to Trump's campaign priorities. He is known for immigration, but also is tough on voter fraud which could be underrated too, as well as just being an all around very smart and competent person.

I like the idea of Rudy as SoS. Trump needs a very loyal person there who he can trust. Rudy Giuliani fits that description perfectly. Rudy also has better international experience than I think most realize. He will be trusted to implement Trumps's doctrine abroad. Hopefully Trump goes with him and not Bolton. I think he will make the correct choice.

Mike Pence is proving himself to be an awesome pick as VP a thousand-fold over.

All lobbyists have been cut from Trump's transition team

Vice President-elect Mike Pence reportedly ordered the removal of all lobbyists from president-elect Donald Trump's transition team, The Wall Street Journal wrote on Tuesday night.

The decision was one of Pence's first since formally taking over the team's lead role. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was abruptly dismissed from the post last week.

Critics have excoriated Trump for including lobbyists, Washington insiders, and Republican Party veterans among his team, suggesting it contradicts the anti-establishment message that defined his campaign.

"[Americans] do not want corporate executives to be the ones who are calling the shots in Washington," Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren said earlier Tuesday. "What Donald Trump is doing is that he's putting together a transition team that's full of lobbyists — the kind of people he actually ran against," she said.

The move capped a chaotic day for Trump's transition team. Former Michigan Rep. Mike Rogers, who handled national-security duties, was ousted, as was senior defense and foreign policy official Matthew Freedman.

Rogers was told that all team members picked by Christie were being ousted, The Journal reported, citing a source familiar with the situation. Rogers indicated the team may be in disarray.

"Is there a little confusion in New York? I think there is. I think this is growing pains," he told CNN's Jim Sciutto. Sources cited by CNN in that story suggested infighting among Trump's close advisers. Another unnamed CNN source denied the claim.

Trump attempted to dispel talk of turmoil in a tweet late Tuesday: "Very organized process taking place as I decide on Cabinet and many other positions. I am the only one who knows who the finalists are!," the tweet read.

Trump's team is tasked with finding and hiring 4,000 political appointees to fill out the federal government.

I'm pretty sure Mr. Trump or someone on his team is trolling us with some of these cabinet possibilities. It makes sense. Throw out a bunch of decoys, get the media spinning their wheels, and don't let them build up a head of steam trying to discredit and undermine the real picks.

The same thing happened in the VP selection, as I recall. All kinds of dumbass rumors were flying around, and Mr. Trump wasn't trying to squash them. Why should he? It doesn't do him any good to make his intentions known before they need to be.

^ Exactly. Just think about how long people were batting around Sessions' and Flynn's names as potential VP picks, only for it to ultimately go to Pence. I know some people weren't too keen on Pence at first, but I think he's been an asset thus far, and certainly a better pick than Christie would've been. President Trump is, without a doubt, great at not showing his hand too soon.

I think anyone who actually believes President Trump has been "softening his stances" or "backpedaling" lately will be in for quite the shock once he's officially sworn in. In my opinion, and time will tell the tale, I think he's using misdirection to conceal his true intent. If no one knows what he's up to, it'll be a lot more difficult for them to try and thwart his plans. That's just "Power 101" stuff.

^ I can't believe I find myself in agreement with "Fauxcohantas."

I don't want President Trump's administration to be infiltrated by flatterers/saboteurs. I'm not saying he shouldn't take advice from those who are friendly to him -- He should certainly encourage his advisers to speak freely, actively listen to what they have to say, but make all final decisions himself. He should also listen to what his political opponents are saying, sometimes they might just (directly or indirectly) offer some great advice, as is the case with what's quoted above. President Trump needs to get those lobbyists out, out, out!

Robert Greene says, "If you don't have enemies, find a way to make them." It sounds crazy but it's true. Sometimes your friends won't tell you the truth of what needs to be done, either for fear of upsetting you or because they're secretly envious and wish to see you fall. Enemies, on the other hand, are a terrific way of discovering what part of your game needs stepping up. "Character is forged in the fires of adversity."

Yeah, I'd like to see Webb at State or Defense too. We can send all of these things to the transition team you know. AJ Delgado says to tweet @transition2017. We can also go to the site and put in our thoughts on "how to make America great." Echoes something Scott Adams said months ago about Trump being the direct democracy president.

Nice article pushing for Webb as SoD:

http://thefederalist.com/2016/11/15/jim-...f-defense/

"In his speech today, Webb reiterated his opposition to wars that don’t serve the interests of the country or its global position, mentioning his opposition to the war in Iraq. He said the United States should consider a nation’s stability, aggression, and treatment of citizens before it aligns with them. He noted the need to honor treaty obligations, citing the threat of Chinese aspirations in the South China Sea. He noted the need to maintain our technological edge in weapons systems, and the importance of national self-defense in the fight against Islamist terrorism. He also emphasized the need for Congress to recover its power in war-making, condemning executive overreach regarding activity in Libya and Iraq."

Also a Twitter rumor saying Webb is being considered for the position. It's a long shot but I'm hoping it's true.

EDIT: Is there a way we can somehow hopefully reach the Trump campaign and let them know that Webb would be an excellent pick? I know during the debates they sent out a survey asking about what sort of issues the voters wanted Trump to focus on during the debate.

If the Bomb Iran crowd gets control of foreign and military policy and transnational corporatists get control of economic policy, Trump will be the biggest con since, well, Hope and Change Obama.

Good for Rand Paul for throwing down against Bolton and Giuliani.

That seems bloody unlikely. I'll eat my words if it happens. For one thing, Cruz is a sitting senator, AG or Secretary of Defense could go to Sessions(another sitting senator) but I think he would be the only sitting senator to get a cabinet position.

Also, Cruz did not endorse Trump at the Convention, he did some months later but he is a total fucking cuck. Cucks will probably not get cabinet positions in a Trump presidency.

Cruz campaigned with Pence in the final days, flying on TrumpForce 2, and made some great comments at the rallies.

Seems more like an A/B test than deliberate trolling. I'm hearing some buzz that he's backing off on Giuliani and Bolton now, but I can't confirm. Good on Rand Paul for taking an early stand. What I did find comical was that the media was on Giuliani for taking money from places like Qatar. Oh...NOW that's a bad thing! [Image: tard.gif]

Hopefully Giuliani just goes away entirely like Christie did (thankfully). He's loyal to Trump but he's not worth wasting political capital on. The hard fight is going to be on immigration and that's where it needs to be spent.

Let's keep pressuring for Webb.

I like Rudy overall but not as SoS. Too hawkish. Maybe Homeland Security?

Apparently Ben Carson turned down HHS.

I don't like Ted Cruz but think he could be a decent conservative SC justice. This appointment also keeps a bitter beta male from obstructing Trump's goals in the senate. He was Summa Cum Laude at Harvard Law, even drawing praise from classic liberal (I mean this in the good sense) Alan Dershowitz.

I don't really like Cruz that much to be honest - I'm sure there are better options for AG.

He feels he doesn't have the experience for government. I think his whole campaign for presidency was just a publicity thing.

Honestly I'd rather have a guy who can learn on the fly that keeps his ideals than your standard run of the mill politician whose deep in the pockets of special interests.

Trump's already shown he's a smart smart man and knows who to surround himself with.

The danger I see at this point is some of those establishment Republican's trying to subtly subvert Trump agenda. While I understand he has to surround himself with some well known connected names, he has to avoid the 'advice' that will ultimately lead to his goals being blocked. They will start trying to get him to soften his stance and 'not ask for too much.' He needs to avoid this and go forward with his plans.

So far that's why I like the choice of Preibus and Bannon. Bannon scares the hell out of the establishment, and Preibus comforts them. They completely don't know what to expect. Will they really have a 50/50 role? Or will he take the advice of one more? They don't know.

I really don't mind Cruz either for a high role in the administration for the same reason, a lot of the establishment don't like him. I believe he also has redeemed himself by campaigning for Donald and jumping on the Trump train.

Giuliani for AG seems like a great choice.
