The best thing about this thread was that someone posted an episode of Rick and Morty. I've never seen it but have heard/read people talking about how great it is. I watched that episode and then watched the rest of the entire first and second season over the next couple days. Great stuff! Looking forward to Se3.

Page 3? About cats and dogs?

There is a video of the reunion between the owner and the dog. What I thought was fucked up was this part (bolded below). But they are back together again. I don't ever see cats show a lot of excitement when seeing their owners.

I used to hate cats. And I am still, unequivocally a dog person.
However, I live near a mountain and we get these crazy rats that seem to invade my garage no matter what we do.
I finally "hired" a cat, which I found for free on CL, to dispose of mice and any other pests and keep my garage safe. He is a male tabby, I feed him blue buffalo and he's a big fucker.
It was an ambivalent friendship at first. I liked harassing him and yanking on his tail randomly haha.
But, over time, he has become more than just my garage guardian. I'll list why I have changed to a fan of cats:
-So fucking aloof. There's a reason lonely chicks like cats. They remind them of the alpha cads that P/Ded them years before.
-Seriously you can learn a lot about body language just watching an active male cat move around. Fucker doesn't trounce around like my dog, he prowls. Slowly and deliberately.
-Dogs can at times be almost too docile and eager to please. "Paulie moved slow because Paulie didn't have to move for nobody"
-Evolutionarily badass. Cats really are, at their core, shrunken down little killing machines compared to their neutered, domesticated dog counterparts. If so much as a moth flies in his vicinity, you literally see his eyes narrow down into two deadly little slits of killer instinct
-More like a random roommate than a pet/companion. He comes and goes as he likes, he seems to have his own rhythm. Compared to my dog who is chomping at the bits to see me after a long day
-Pragmatic and independent. This makes them pretty damn low maintenance. I've seen this prick disappear for as long as 6 days at a time, and then show up randomly on my front porch at 2am while I'm having a cigarette
-Fucker has a revolving harem. I saw him mounting the shit out of this pretty little black cat around the corner from my back gate, he knows how things are done, and he doesn't need me to facilitate it for him

Also, there is nothing about owning and caring for a cat that translates to game.

All this was part of my point when I said owning cats has had a positive effect on my game. It's more of a meta level thing. Not "my cat taught me how to neg" or whatever Stalin was trying to insinuate.

NO.
Men are dog lovers, cats are for women.
Dogs are like men, playful, brave, loving, loyal and love having their balls licked.
Cats are like women, aloof, selfish, self interested and disloyal

I think the loyalty of a dog has been a bit mythologized over the centuries to be honest. No offense to any dog lovers or anything.
But almost any dog, no matter how loyal, can be bribed away with food or a nice enough treat in the right situations/settings.
In an ironic way, it's dogs that are more like women. With the right type of status/game/provisions presented to her, even the most loyal of women can jump off your lap and into someone else's. Especially if your discipline/game has been lacking lately.
Better keep our Caesar Milan on point fellas.

And for the same reasons, both are misunderstood and feared by the majority of men.
Of the few men I know who have cats, all are also completely at ease and natural with women, hold no resentment, and have a high success/bang rate.

Yeah, this is just something people just accept at face value as a trope, yet never feel the need to back it up.
Some other examples of such tropes include:
"You'll never understand women"
"Happy Wife Happy Life!"
Ect.
Yes, dogs get excited to see you. Does that make them loyal? How do you test a dog's loyalty anyway? I've known plenty of dog owners who have been bitten by their "best friends"

I've known alphas who owned cats. They didn't actively seek their company, it's just they took care of the animals when no one else would (family hand me down, etc.)
It's often a pragmatic decision though, as many apartment complexes don't allow dogs, or travel schedules won't.
