Flaked on a girl.

Flaked on a girl.

I arranged a date for last night with a chick I met through a friend. We were suppose to meet at a comedy club at 9pm. Unfortunately, I was feeling extremely nauseous the entire day.

By the time I was half way to the club it was so unbearable that I had to turn back home. She texted me saying that she was on her way and that's when I told her not to come because I wasn't feeling well.

She didn't seem too upset and even suggested a "next time." I'm guessing this isn't necessarily bad but how can I use this to my advantage?

In my opinion depending of how much she liked you based on a separate encounter it may benefit because she may want to see you more , and may put some effort to see you . but if this is the first time meeting her then its a bad impression on your side just simply address the issue dont bring up too many details. and move forward

We met at a party prior to this so we did hang out before last night. We were definitely flirtatious with each other the entire time, danced and some light kissing. I was thinking about texting her this afternoon with something along the line of "awesome things happening tonight. I'll call you later." (and I do have a few fun events that I can bring her to)

I don't see much point in trying to find a way to "use this to my advantage." I think at the end of the day it's onerous to spin absolutely every little thing that happens with a girl in terms of "game."

Girls flake on guys for all sorts of reasons all the time, legitimate and not. I think the best way to keep her on the line is do the same thing girls do when they do want to meet but there's an actual issue: just say "Hey, I'm feeling really under the weather today. What's your schedule like for XXX day?" (where XXX day is a couple days away, not more than a week.) Pitch the alternate. I've rescheduled girls a couple times and it's never been a big deal; if you end up seeing even a fuckbuddy once a week it will eventually come up that you've got to shift things around. Again, it's no big deal. You're a man with shit to do and more important things than chicks often come up, remember?

If she comes through, great. If not, oh well that's the breaks. Probably wasn't that into you, anyway.

Not really a flake if you were genuinely sick, I mean this happens sometimes.

Always bear it mind that its a remote possibility that a chick can flake on you this way for a genuine reason....

Although unlikely [Image: smile.gif]
