I cut the music intro to save data. It should start with me introducing Brosemite.

"Hey! It's not Monday! You can't release another episode!"

Yes I can. Link with show notes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GclQ-CuN...3zojMs1jcI

Thanks to Traktor for joining me from Minsk. And thanks to you for listening or reading.

Note: My attempt to upload the pod cast to SoundCloud failed. Apparently, even if you delete your old material, they still count it against your three-hour free account limit. So, no more SoundCloud. If you know a free alternative, let me know.

As always, constructive comments and feedback are appreciated!

Yeah hosting on audio only or podcast would be nice.

Need to be able to listen on headphones while iPhone locked. YouTube shits off.

Apologies if there is an easy work around I don't know about

Edit: just read rest of thread. Sorry. Sounds like partial solution in place

^ If I remember correctly, there are also third-party YouTube player apps that play YouTube audio while your phone is locked. I don't have an iPhone, so check it out.

Enjoyed your interview with Traktor; very informative. What percentage of the people of Belarus, Ukraine, and Russia speak English now?

^ Hard to give an exact number, but best answer is it's low, at least in the center of the big cities of Kiev and Minsk - never mind outside that.

Putting it another way, Gaming there with only English is playing "find the English speaker."

As Traktor said, learn the language.

I have enjoyed the podcast - appreciate all the effort in putting it together.

Traktor's interview is a good reminder for me to keep slogging it out with Russian - been frustrated with progress lately.

Interesting, these podcasts! Each one has useful data, delivered without unnecessary filter by real players on the ground. Truthful, insider stuff. So please keep them coming, adding new countries...

Really enjoyed the Minsk podcast. Traktor seems like an interesting guy. His perspective on the manosphere was refreshing to hear. It was good to hear someone calling out the whiny tone that has creeped into the dialogue. Who cares about what fat blogger chicks are complaining about. Get fit, get paid and travel the world to see interesting places and meet beautiful girls. Then share the stories here on RVF. That's what it's really all about.

I think the content of the podcast is strong enough to warrant a proper hosting and iTunes listing.

The question becomes are people willing to pay for it. I appreciate everyone's effort who has made the podcast possible. But will people pay for it or should 262 and his team foot the bill for other's enjoyment?

Not saying you feel that way, just looked like an opening to discuss that. There would be other issues regarding money, ie who gets it etc.

Will be interesting to see where they take it.

Does look like there are some options besides sound cloud.

Maybe a kratom advertisement at the beginning could cover hosting costs:

As promised!

Going to take a different approach with this episode. Instead of releasing it all once, I'll release it in smaller and more easily digestible chunks. The above chunk is about fifteen minutes.

Second, I'll take this opportunity to test if folks still want show notes, by not doing them for this one, for now.

Finally, in case you're wondering why I didn't embed the video above, it's because too many embedded video links on a single page can slow down the loading of that page.

As always, constructive feedback and comments are appreciated!

^ By the way, the guy I chatted with for this episode is what you could call "an American Euro-jaunter."

Guys who work in the West but are interested in traveling to Central and Eastern Europe should definitely give it a listen.

If you're serious about your podcast you should just pay for hosting. Most packages are $15/month, it's definitely worth it.

I use Libsyn for mine. Their plans start as low as $5/month for 50mb of storage. At the end of the month, your storage allowance is reset, so you can keep uploading more content.

I second that. I'm sure a few guys here would even chip in on a Patreon account to make it a cash positive venture for you if it's hosted properly. Anything but YouTube. If it's made available on iTunes with a Patreon account attached this could be a nice little side business. The content is good.

I also suggest releasing entire episodes rather than releasing them in parts.

Let's try this: http://feeds.feedburner.com/WorldWarriorPodcast

As I understand, you can copy and paste that link into any podcast client - such as iTunes - and you'll be subscribed.

Also, by using FeedBurner, if I change the host again, you guys won't have to do anything. I just have to redirect the feed to the new host.

As for the iTunes listing, looks like Apple has to approve it. No thanks!

Finally, I'm not interested in taking donations right now. Wouldn't want to pull a Sarkeesian on you guys [Image: wink.gif] (taking the money and running)

Dude, iTunes will approve it. The application is a formality. I've never heard of them rejecting ANYTHING that gets submitted. I've seen things in the itunes store that I was truly amazed to discover had made it through the vetting process.

Do your best to get on the New and Noteworthy section. Put a request here and we'll subscribe + leave reviews. This boosts your rating and chance of being ranked (the first 8 weeks are what counts the most).
