US Sailors captured by Iran - Then Americans apologize for being wrong

This guy was on the point as fuck, and he gets banned?[Image: dodgy.gif][Image: dodgy.gif]

Can someone confirm this is a board where the content of the argument does not matter, rather what matters is who says "something"?

By vet, I did not mean a military veteran, simply someone who's been around, is a forum legend, and doesn't need to be lectured by a high school kid about "grammar".

All of these things are completely obvious and anyone who fails to see them needs to work on their social intelligence.

^Even better.

So an anonymous poster's "legendary" status on a forum about picking up women --- makes him inherently more qualified to discuss international relations. Do I have that right?

That's some beautiful logic if I've ever seen it. [Image: biggrin.gif]

And finally, I have no interest in the Iran argument one way or another. I'm posting this because I want to help the kid out, because I like him for some reason and want him to do better.

And you keep dropping gems...

Look, I respect your man-crush. But you and your mate hijacked an otherwise intelligent discussion on Iran just to yap about what legends you are. Not a good indicator of social intelligence in my humble opinion...

Repeat 30,000 US Troops severely maimed and wounded by IEDs and EFDs manufactured in fucking IRAN over the past 10+ years - total act of war ignored by the current CiC over the past 7 years - who then rewarded Iran with a Sultan's ransom ten times over for signing a toothless treaty... ok so all water under the bridge you say let bygones be bygones and while we are at it lets try to all just get along...

Now ask yourself how many Pakistani, Russian, Chinese, North Korean, British or French Nukes Iran can now buy with $150 Billion USD?

Here's what you're missing. Iraq is majority shiite. Iran is shiite. We're (as in the western powers in general) are the ones playing in their backyard trying to impose Sunni dominance over a shiite region. Iraq was a shit show in general and there's no way any western military force should have been there to begin with.

Saudi Arabia and the rest of the sunni fun bunch are much worse when it comes to just about everything. They (and Israel) are the current drivers of U.S. foreign policy and these nations are bridge points for neocon policies which brought the U.S. into Iraq to begin with. You can also directly or indirectly blame neocon policies for the current shitshow in Europe and the impact it is having with E.U. policy.

Who is far worse here? Going to war with Iran or agitating Iran falls right into the carefully laid SUNNI arab dominance plan of the middle east.

This is a nightmare outcome.

Far more have died due to American action than Iranian action in the Middle East. If you want to start a second Iraq War and destabilize another country into another ISIS be my guest.

I was with you initially Deepdiver, but blaming Iran is a horrible idea. This is why a Rand Paul presidency is needed. Isolationist foreign policy with a high focus of defense on U.S. Energy and defense interests without involvement in pointless nation building.

Defending the United States is no cause for premeditated war. Just like how the United States opposes Assad on the basis of "national security".

The US has been fucking with Iran for decades. We coerced Iraq into waging a proxy war against Iran that lasted for 8 years and led to a stalemate. The US has maintained a carrier group in the Persian Gulf since I was in diapers. While I feel for those who have been killed or maimed by IEDs, how would you expect Iran to respond when we've been fucking with them for a half century or more?

The real problem in the middle east, when it comes to the exportation of toxic cultural values is not Iran. The problem lies in the Saudi royal family. They're the ones exporting that Wahhabi bullshit. They're the ones funding the radicals. I'm not thrilled with Iran having nukes, but if one should make it to our neck of the woods, I guarantee it will be bought and paid for by the Saudis, and I'm sure Israel will be lurking in the shadows. If you'd prefer to cuck for Israel and the Saudis, go for it. But at the end of the day, it's US foreign policy pandering to them that has caused much of our troubles over there.

AFAIC, the US has the ability to sustain itself with our own oil production. There's no longer a need for ANY US meddling in the affairs of the middle east. Let their neighbors in Europe, Russia, and China deal with the problems should they choose to do so. We should leave the entire area. If they want to kill each other, let them. If they want to destroy Israel, have at it.

People saying this projects weakness need to get a reality check.

The US is in their backyard. We are futzing around on their borders and Territorial waters.. We overthrew a country next to them and are trying to do so to another, Syria. Who benefits? Saudia Arabia.

Look at a map of US bases. It encompasses Iran.

They've been a country for over 1500 years, that's a good track record. We should leave them alone.

They aren't a threat to US security as they have zero air or missile power capable of reaching the mainland. And they sure as shit aren't launching a land invasion anytime soon.

It was the prudent move to comply in this case. Only a power drunk retard engages every challenge thrown their way.

Iran didn't need to polarize it with the pictures but whatever.

We all love Putin, right. A 747 with 300 of his civilians on board was blown up by an act of terrorism in Egypt. You don't see him invading and gutting the pyramids because it simply isn't worth it.

Going live fire over a few dingys being commandeered, nah.

LOL To be clear I have never cucked for anyone as I am somewhat right of Attila the Hun. I did take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the USA which is for life and I do have a lot of respect for Ron and Rand Paul. A review of facts; the Sunni Defenders of the faith Saudi Arabia and their Sunni brothers are the primary supporters of radical Wahhabism and proponents of ISIS. Tehran is the epicenter of the Shiites and control Hamas and Hezbollah - opposite sides of the same evil radical islamists coin.

For those that hate America, the US Military and Veterans - this is probably not the best thread for those problems.

The real problem is that we are just extending and expanding the long running civil strife between Sunni and Shiite factions that hate each other as much as the hate the west and infidels.

Radical Islamist Sunnis knocked down the world trade center and Radical Islamist Shiites have been running attacks against the USA and American troops since they seized the US Embassy. Rand and Ron Paul have some good points regarding isolationism - however to be true isolationists would require that all US based multinationals stop earning over 51% of their earnings and profits overseas - as long as foreign trade is crucial to the US economy then protection of foreign trade routes and energy and raw material supplies as well as US and allied interests is crucial to the US's and EU's economies.

Now that Iran has been gifted with a $150 Billion reward for agreeing with a toothless nuclear agreement the world has become much more dangerous and unstable as a result.

Reports are Saudi Arabia has already quietly taken delivery of working nukes from their Sunni brothers in Pakistan and that the Iranians will be conducting a bidding war from the remaining suppliers soon as they have the funds.

Radioactive clouds are spread quickly by the jet stream.

Time to ad iodine pills to your supplement regimen to help reduce radiation absorption as I indicated proliferation and mushroom clouds are now as great a threat as ever.

Saudi Arabia and Iran go at it with nukes and the global economic repercussions will be epic.

Good points I can appreciate that opinion. My only main gripe is that Iran is allied with Russia and their track record is infinitely better than the House of Saud whom I detest. I do agree with you on everything else.
