Beautiful face, okay voice. A lot of times these beauties have meh daughters.
On the other hand, Phillips' daughter was a better singer than her mom (She's singing lead),
and way classier, as in, not a hippie,
and pretty damn good looking too.

You guys have pretty much covered it. I looked at a few film clips of some of these stars, and it is amazing what a difference a little femininity makes in a woman. These girls weren't cookie cutter at all, not the simpering man pleasing losers the feminists would have you believe they were.
Debbie Reynolds for example, yeah, a good smile, also though, talent for days and such a positive attitude. It is almost alien to the modern man. She is what Laci Green could have been if she weren't deranged, learned a skill, and tried. Look at this video from Singing in the Rain. Her good spirits are infectious:
I also want to make sure no one forgets Evan Marie Saint:
Saint was more like Grace Kelly, a cool customer, although her sexuality smolders just below the surface, and she is way more than her looks. First time I saw "North by Northwest," I thought, who the hell is that? She just about jumped off the screen.

Also, can't leave this thread without any pictures of Kim Novak, brooding and sultry and voluptuous, and Lord how that woman looked at you. Mysterious. What is she thinking?

I always thought Mansfield's daughter was not only bad looking, but had a horrible voice, making her uglier.
I can't believe anyone found her attractive apart from her being Jayne's daughter. She's a 6 at best.

In order to compensate for my overly dark recent thread, I return our attention to this wonderful review of how beautiful women *used* to be.

Aaaahhhhh, a classic beauty. She inspired a Sumo song:
"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects."
