I visited Jakarta again earlier this year. I would say Irish's update is spot on.
A few observations:
It definitely got worse than it used to be a few years ago, but you can still have fun if you have a little bit of game.
-You can still get 10X matches on Tinder compared to Western countries. Most of the Tinder sluts will probably flake, but it's still possible to bang a few, probably 2 points higher and a few years younger vs the kind of girls you can bang back home if you live in the West. Just make sure you use rubbers, because these girls get around.
-Many Tinder sluts know their way around a certain apartment complex in Thamrin where many Westerners who pass through choose to stay, probably based on the advice from this forum. If I ever come back (a big if), I'll probably stay in another neighborhood.
-X2 is still ok on weekends if you want to pick up a slut for a quick bang. It's such a shithole, though, that I'm not sure it's worth it. Definitely go elsewhere if you don't like cigarette smoke and garbage all over the place. Also, make sure the girl you pick up is not a pro because many of them are. If she gives off that vibe, tell her straight up you don't pay for sex.
-Basque was ok when I went there a few months ago. Other guys from the forum picked up chicks there but I didn't, only went there once and bounced to X2. Both X2 and Basque become massive sausage fests after about 1AM on weekends. If you go to Basque, its a good idea to arrive before midnight, maybe even around 10pm, and pick up a girl before all those thirsty fuckers show up.
-I also visited Bali and actually had more fun there than in Jakarta. Could have been random, but if I go to Indonesia again I'll probably go to Bali and/or smaller cities in Java, not Jakarta.
In summary, if you visit Jakarta you'll likely have your share of local sluts unless you are a total fuckup, but I don't think it's worth flying there all the way from Europe or North America just for that.

Immigrant has gone to shit of late. Friday's are dead and Saturday's, which used to be a bit of a gold mine, now are pretty shit with quite frankly an odd crowd showing up now. There still can be decent quality girls that show up but they're few and far between now. Place had a good innings, but now desperately needs to do something to reinvent itself.
Dragonfly, which went from awesome to dreadful when they refurbished nearly 2 years ago has gradually been improving ever since. Now the Chinese have almost totally moved out and brought their bottle service pissing contest with them back to the likes of Empirica and Blowfish. It's still nothing like the old glory days of the previous DF, but still maybe worth checking out particularly on their big night on a Friday when Immigrant is empty and Jenja is potentially a ball ache to get to due to traffic. That said, the club is still fairly poorly laid out for cold approaching and most quality looking birds will be on someone's table. But results can be had there still if your club game is on point.
Jenja - a bit of a drive south to Kemang but a decent alternative to Immi and DF. Can be hit or miss on the chicks stakes and somewhat unpredictable. It's one for the more hardcore underground DJ club scene and is fairly local so you don't get so much the bule hunting girls, rather the ones more into their music without necessarily being the druggy types who frequent Kota. A decent club itself but wouldn't be my first port of call if I'm looking to get some actions. But worth sticking your head in for a change of scenery
X2 I've not been to in years now. But I still hear it's much the same: ie younger, piss easy chicks but the quality ain't great. Has the reputation of being a bit pikey (rightly so) so most of the top grade birds won't be seen dead in there. But ideal hail mary option.
I'll continue to keep my ear close to the ground on developments and perhaps try a few more new venues while the scene is in a bit of a lull.
