Some Cambodian guys are so fucking ambiguously gay it annoys the shit out of me. I can handle a somewhat feminine streak in an Asian guy but these dudes keep asking for my Facebook and then they'll send me little gay memes that really leave me questioning...
For instance this guy keeps hitting me up to meet him for dinner and he's already weirding me out but I'm trying not to jump to conclusions. I'm thinking of just making an excuse but then I tell him give me an hour or so and hit me up and we'll go.
He sends me a meme of this fucking photo:
And a message saying "Ok if u sure I wait u."
I'm thinking....wtf
So after a long pause I send him back - "Ok but why are you sending me a girl photo? Are you a lady now?"
I figure let's get this shit out on the table before it goes too far, right?
In his defense I think he kind of shit his pants when he realized he was coming across as a homo. "No no no no I am man for sure!"
LOL
I'm used to these weird little moments with some Southeast Asian guys but I swear sometimes you wonder where the fuck they get this shit. I mean, what is gayer than sending that pic above to a guy? Even if that was cool in your culture, you'd think the word would spread pretty quick that straight white boys just don't...uh...communicate that way.
Get a grip, Cambodia.
On another note though, his reaction reminds me of something I always pull on the tuk tuk drivers when I'm walking down the street. In Siem Reap at night time, every block has some guy on a motorbike or in a tuk tuk asking you if you want a whore.
"Hey man, you want boom boom?" In their creepy little sex-selling whisper.
Shit gets annoying after a while but eventually I decided to just start fucking with them. I like to give them this look of shock and wave my hands in protest and say "No! I don't boom boom with Man."
hahaha Some just start cracking up, but you should see the look on some of their faces when it crosses their mind that I might think they're offering me the ahole. Mouth drops open when it clicks and they start verbally scrambling - "No no man not boom boom me! I mean lady!"
lol Shit always makes my night.
You gotta shake things up out here.

"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe.
To be your own man is a hard business. If you try it, you'll be lonely often, and sometimes
frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself." - Kipling
