WC, what is Hunters Point? That's the place I heard that is bad in SF. My buddy went to a concert or something there, can't remember now, and said it was a shithole. Or maybe I'm mixing it up with Bayview or the Tenderloin?

Bay view and hunters point are the same area. That's the only spot in SF where you really shouldn't go to.
The loin is just a bunch of crazy drug addicts, "bay point, hunters point" is nicknamed "gun point" for a reason, because shit gets real there in a hurry.
Then again that's not really in the SF "zone" at that point. Basically the main area of SF is Marina to the richmond to the mission to the embarcadero. All of that is covered with basically $15-20 bucks in cab fares end to end.
If you don't live in that square, you need a car and therefore are likely forced to day game.
I generally day game (low to medium success in union square + Delores park) then run night game all over the place from "the dangerous tenderloin" to the marina to north beach to the mission, downtown etc. (day game is slowly improving of course but main mode is night game due to job + previous experiences).
The loin isn't really dangerous it's just disgustingly dirty eg. Homeless problem. I have walked in a suit through the loin and the worst thing that happens is druggies riding by on bikes, as they pass you they just say "party favors" to see if you're drunk enough to buy their weak drugs.

Ha I used to hit noble on Tuesday's. ^^^. Ambassadors is in the loin and has some talent. So is sugar cafe. Only place I felt unsafe was walking up from Orpheum theatre up Ellis street( I believe). It got super shady quickly. I just flagged a taxi and gtfo.

Yeah. Bayview-Hunter's Point is the real hood in SF. But I don't think it will be for too long just because of the demand for housing in SF. That area is already gentrifying a bit. MUNI light rail goes out there and you are already seeing a few white folks on some blocks. My boy actually bought a property there. In fact, my favorite brewery -
Speakeasy - is in Bayview. I used to go there every Friday to cap off the work week and pregame with my crew before going out. It was funny because you knew you were in Bayview once you could smell sewage.
There's a well-known documentary about the place called "
Straight Outta Hunter's Point."
It's wild because retailers that look into opening stores in SF (where few big box retailers even exist) don't even know about Bayview. The logistics would be perfect for them because it's a pretty large area south of Candlestick Park (where the 9'ers play).
When I first moved to SF a local chick I knew drove me around all those parts to give me a good perspective on what the city is like. I'll never forget this one housing project in Hunters Point called
Double Rock. This shit was so hood it didn't even seem like America. It was nothing but Samoans that live there and Samoans are hood as fuck.
Btw, I saw something about the Marina not being 2 miles from the Loin. Marina is just a little over two miles when you take
Van Ness Ave (biggest thoroughfare in SF). I used to do that all the time.

@HC yeah like I mentioned earlier everything is within ~2 miles of the loin (marina slightly further)
Would not recommend anyone hit up bay point but beyond that, anyone calling SF unsafe has grown up in a bubble.

Westcoast, with the shortage of housing and skyrocketing rents why aren't developers gentrifying the loin and bayview? Pro-homeless regulations or something?

Yeah basically a bunch of red tape. There are a lot of areas around SF that are being gentrified.
Also it should be reiterated, bay point is so far away from the night life action it shouldn't even be mentioned as part of SF nightlife. Mentioning bay point as SF is like mentioning Queens as manhattan. Simply false.
Cost of living is definitely getting out of control, there is no doubt about that. You need $2K just for rent (studio) in a central location in SF.

^ haha this is why I mentioned on here that California is hands down the hardest place to come up in the game.
I got some heat for it but again no one who has lived on both coasts said I was bullshitting.
I agree on the money coming in this year. Again if you're in SF you're here to get Fuck you money. Not here to bang out 6-7's for fun (although that is what I do to survive).
Expect the valley money to continue up to SF and stink up the bars and clubs. More IPOs on deck over the NTM period. Just gotta make money off it.
This is also why everyone who lives in SF needs to get their fashion set, logistics set. Otherwise you're screwed.
Anyway, be smart. Lock down a few places, don't mess with the start up heavy spots (negative game and guys throwing money around) and simply adjust.
Right now is prime time for tourists so you gotta scour all the international spots and try to pick one of them up for a few months. That'll last you through winter.

Wow. What a shame. Goes to show how "liberal" and "open minded" SF really is. I always tell people that - politically - it's no different from Alabama except it's the version for liberals.

^ HC you have lived in SF before, you know as well as anyone that SF is not open minded. It's a myth, any place with heavy feminism is certainly not open minded. Open minded here means "left winged liberal or else you're a traitor"
Hell Austin Texas is significantly more open minded.
Think about it, the belief is that feminism is empowering here. So who comes to live here... Nothing but feminists looking to get the "bigger better deal". Particularly the weirdos who uproot their lives to live here.
You have to know where to go and why in SF. I feel bad for guys randomly trying to pull here they won't stand a chance.
The good news, the city is so dense and logistically set up in your favor, once you find a few watering holes it's pretty much a wash like any other major US city.

Sugar, so have you had much luck in the marina? Are girls there less political and anti-alpha-male?
Gio, I know you kill it with day game, but do you run night game much? What are your thoughts on the marina, which most people here seem to indicate as the best spot to swoop? Do usf seniors have a little row of bars near campus they hit up on college night/weekends?

Most guys that get ONS's from the marina live in the marina. Trying to get a marina girl to leave the marina is like asking her to put away her cell phone for 6 hours. Ain't gonna happen most of the time. Luckily I have buddies who live there with spare rooms.
Anyway you can ONS from any spot in SF I have ONs from every single sector within the bubble I laid out except north beach.
Again your main issues in SF are.
1. Venue choice
2. Logistics (costs money to live here)
I haven't really had the inner sunset experience sugar is referring to, but generally everyone has a vibe that will steer him to a specific venue.
The basement place sugar is referring to is called the cellar. Hit and miss.

Ah, an SF thread.
I currently live about 20-30 minutes outside SF, but do all my gaming in SF, for obvious reasons. ONS are almost impossible for me due to bad logistics. I currently can't really afford or really want a place in SF right now, I tried searching earlier this year but I'd most likely have to share a place with annoying roommate(s) who would probably be on my case all the time for bringing women back at night and such.
So I mostly have to settle for numbers and dates.
Have any of you known anybody who was successful at regularly laying girls from the night game there who lived outside the city? I used to go gaming with a guy who lived in the North Bay and he claimed to have banged girls at their apartments, friends' apartments, or in hostels/hotel rooms. He was apparently successful, but very dedicated to going out all the time.

Is there any nightlife in the marina? I've been to Union St at night: 2-3 blocks of bars & restaurants. But I think this is considered Cow Hollow/Pac Heights. Anyone been to the Royal Oak on Polk?

Most of the those so called "ultra left wing feminist" weirdos are not from California. They are transplants from other parts of the country. Usually, they are from conservative places. That's why they come here and over compensate by acting all crazy.
A very accurate and astute psychological take on the issue. I feel like a lot of people here moved here from somewhere else where they had a very unhappy childhood.
...and guess which state is the tougheast on food stamps applicants ???

next time I am in SF I am just going to sit on the bench in front of burma superstar and game in between meals while I turn into a fat bastard.
