Yes, a guy has to be careful with Etro. Most women hate it, unless its worn by a grey haired 50+ man. Then they love it.

Wear it for yourself. I love those shoes. I also love some Etro jackets and I have my eye on one of their tuxedos. Midnight blue, very fine velvet with just a peek of paisley. Boss.

The quality of Etro suits, however, does not seem to warrant the prices. So just buy on sale. Better quality suits can be had for far cheaper.

I have never tried on Etro shoes though, but they are likely made in the same place in Italy that most Italian shoes are.

Those etro shoes are nice but very limiting, you cannot wear too often.

Yes, I think those Etro paisley shoes are a little too dandy-ish. Your clothes are supposed to draw attention to your face. So, a cravat in that design might be ok if it contrasts well with your skin and hair tone.

Here are the Antony Sanders shoes I ordered a few days ago.

Good quality for the price. I'm size 12 and their size 12 fit like a glove.

The most important thing for me was that the brown shade worked perfectly with navy, in my opinion!

I pronate my feet, specifically my left foot. I wear through the back left part of my left shoe sole too quickly.

I usually buy Steve Madden's, something similar to the ones in the pic, but they don't last long because they're hollow soled shoes as well. (I wear jeans to work, and walk a lot around town in these)

Who makes shoes that will better withstand my mean pronation?

I normally go to Nordstrom Rack, but would go to Macy's. I have to try them on first. Is this just a matter of looking at the sole to tell whether it's solid?

It's not full grain leather ("Genuine Leather"). Leather sole, appears to be Goodyear construction. Wooden heel.

We'll see how they handle two weeks of graduation celebrations...

Still with some good care, I think they'll last a while!

To me all three of those are for metal fab (Ironwork specifically) even though I get they are street shoes they just look like metal fab boots.

Unless your style is 'Site Super just got off running a job now off to a business meeting over drinks' I would stay away from those. You are in Texas, so that style could work for you.

I see style as something that should leave people guessing. Never being able to pinpoint a mans social status, profession, etc is what I personally strive for. I say never let someone confidently judge you based on what you are wearing. 98% men dress to fit an image to fit in. Don't be that guy.

They are dope, but I wouldn't really pay retail for them (not that I could anyways heh). If you can afford them, I'd say buy them. They go on sale really often though and there are tons of good alternatives. Some brands that carry alternatives from cheaper to more expensive are: kent wang, frank & oak, axel arigato, national standard, svensson, acne studios, eric schedin, etc.

Words to live by. I'm of the mindset that you can do this pairing work-type boots with a suit, fitted selvedge, or custom printed tee, anything that an ironworker wouldn't wear. Same end result - people will know you're not an ironworker because of the shined boots and fitted denim but...then what is he? Typically ironworker boots are matte finish and completely flat across the bottom as well, those have a bit of heel, but are very similar with the moc toe.

Edit: just clicked the other links, you're right those are straight up ironworker boots. Best to steer clear.
