Let's talk shoes

I need shoe ideas. Post up photos of dope shoes. I don't care what type, dress shoes for suits, casual shoes, stylish sneakers you could wear with designer denim, loafers, sandals, whatever...

I need new kicks badly but I'm not sure where to start. I need some inspiration.

Mark Nason boots/shoes.

Their ankle boots are kickass. Avoid the "Lounge" series, as they are a USA made and not Italian hand crafted like the originals.

They're expensive though... $200-400.

I always get compliments on these particular brogues. Even when they're a little scuffed, girls still love em:

Also, if you're going for a more casual but still balling vibe, you can't go wrong with some timbs with the tongues out. Herbs don't wear those, plus they make you taller.

Check these shoes out: http://www.kentwang.com/. The creator of the site, Kent Wang, outsources to a shoemaker in the U.S. and sells them through his website. He has it set up in a way where the quality of material used, and the make of the shoe are high end, but sold at half the price of shoes at that level. They are still fairly expensive though.

I plan on owning every single one of these shoes in the future. Being a broke college student is the only thing holding me back from doing so right now.

Edit: Link didn't work.

What went wrong with them? Curious to know as I have a pair. I was hesitant to buy them as I have only heard of them as of last year. Mine broke in quick and nicely, and I keep excellent care of my shoes, so I have yet to see any "weak points".

These get some looks when worn super casual.

These are a Swedish classic in a similar style to a Timberland. They look more refined, less American street style.

Not sure why, but these velvet loafers make chicks wet (or angry). I have a black pair, I could live in them. Dope. As. Fuck.

one pair of black oxfords, one pair of brown oxfords, a pair of boots, and a pair of boat shoes.

these can get you through every season with just about any clothing combination. A lot of people like sneakers but those are cheap to throw in too if you want. As far as brands go, have a look around amazon and see what you think looks the best. Make sure you have the size right before you buy online, obviously.

the wrap binding between the sole and upper just peeled off after a few months of wear, like the glue failed. by the time I took them back to bloomingdales it was too late for a return. they looked fantastic but the quality was sub par, this was about 5 years ago.

Holy hell, those chukka boots are absolutely awesome. I have clarks in that color and all I get are compliments, but these look 10x better. Might be a worthwile investment when my clarks fall apart.

If I wear shorts, its almost always with a boat shoe. Even better if I am on a boat or marina. Its true, those things don't slip or mark.

I had Sperry for a few years, but in Canada they are expensive for what you get (a shoe that gets wet, sandy, flattened, beaten down) so I picked up a pair of cheap ones €40 when I was in Italy. No different.

Sperry makes a tonne of styles, colours, etc though.
