This is a closed off highway near Admiralty. It was Saturday, not a lot of protesters there. Everything was quiet and peaceful, many tourists like me walking around and taking pictures.

This is a brief trip report with some practical information which will hopefully be useful to those of you who plan to visit this wonderful city.

I stayed in HK for 3 days over the weekend, rented an apartment right in the middle of Lan Kwai Fong, the party district. This was my second time in HK. The first visit was even more brief, about a year ago.

Thanks to all the previous posters, particularly Skulled. Your advice was spot on.

The report is based on a short trip, so take this information with a grain of salt.

Day 1

First night. Arrived in the evening, got settled in, put my blazer on and hit LKF after a little bit of pre-drinking. Bounced from one bar to another in LKF and Wyndham Street. Talked to a number of girls and some guys as well. An insta-wingman from Singapore and I invited a couple of girls to a nearby cafe, but they didn’t come to my place for an afterparty like I suggested. Girls in bars and on the street were generally nice and friendly, but none of them agreed to come to my place either, so I called it a night around 3AM.

Day 2

I spent all day sightseeing which was fantastic. The highlight of the day was accidentally finding the closed off highway with the barricades and tents near Admiralty, walking around there right in the middle of everything and taking dozens of pictures. By now, all of this is probably dismantled.

In the evening, I called my new buddy from Singapore. While i was sightseeing, he already slept with one girl from Tinder or something but was ready for some more action. We hit up LKF, but then he got lost together with another girl. I continued drinking and hitting on girls with various degrees of success: sat at a table with some rich girls, bounced around and danced a little bit with others at random bars, got blown off a bunch of times, finally ended up at a bar right next to my place where I got lucky during my previous HK trip. I hit on 2 or 3 girls there, nobody seemed interested.. then one girl seemed more receptive and danced with me a little. I offered to buy her a drink, but she declined and went to the toilet. She was already pretty drunk, but so was I. I waited a few minutes and when she came back asked her to come to my place just around the corner for “an afterparty”. She agreed and we walked out of the bar, but then her friend, who was also very attractive, walked up to us and probably wanted to talk her out of it. I offered the friend to join the party, but she just bounced. Oh well, no threesome tonight, but hey, one girl is better than none.

We entered my apartment and started banging pretty much right away, no resistance at all, quite the opposite. Total time from meeting to bang...probably 10-15 minutes? I was drunk, so don’t remember exactly. Rough sex, RVF style. Very attractive girl, early 20s, fantastic body. We woke up in the morning and banged again. I felt happy that i was with the girl, but hungover as fuck, so when she said he was leaving, I was kind of relieved. As I was walking her out she told me she is from HK originally, but now works for a big airline in the Middle East. “What do you do there?”, I asked. “Cabin crew”.

Day 3: Wan Chai Sunday

Wan Chai on a Sunday is like low hanging fruit central full of Filipino and Indonesian maids, yet somehow I managed to not get laid there! To be fair, I was hungover, sleep deprived and still drained after the night with stewardess and also rejected quite a few maids, but anyway, let me describe my experience and you decide whether or not you want to give it a try.

I followed this guide: http://www.stickmanbangkok.com/ReadersSu...er7450.htm
and either visited or saw from the street most of the places mentioned there. All of them are on Lockhart Road, pretty close to the Wan Chai metro station. I walked around and went to a couple of bars full of mostly British expats and Filipino/Indo maids. Most of the expats and maids looked kind of spent. As recommended in the guide, I hit up a club called New Makati. A night club full of people around 4pm, only in Hong Kong! I got a beer and checked out the club: a lot more girls than guys. Most girls looked like Filipino and Indonesian peasants ranging from ugly to ok looking with a couple of stunners thrown into the mix. Don’t get me wrong, though: in some small town in the US, guys would be buying them drinks and sucking their own cocks just to sleep with these girls, but in HK, that’s a different story. The few men at the club were mostly old expats with a few Indians here and there and a couple of young tall guys probably visiting just for shits and giggles.

I went to another club called Neptune 3. A bigger venue, but a similar crowd. I stood there looking grumpy like a Russian killer or something, pretty similar to my avatar given how hung over I was. Got a couple of more beers and let loose a little bit, talked to and danced with a few chicks. One Indonesian girl with a great body kissed me pretty much right away, but then asked me to buy her a drink. I agreed, but the drink was like 150HKD, 3X more expensive than the regular beer. Turns out they have a “lady drink” system there like at Go Go bars, so if you buy bitches drinks at these clubs, at least make sure you choose the drink and know what you pay. BTW, never enter any massage joints in Wan Chai, the ones with red curtains and shit. I didn’t - clearly rip off joints trying to fuck over drunk fools passing by.

Anyway, I told the Indo girl that I don’t pay for sex and she fucked off. Later on, danced with a few more girls but didn’t buy them any drinks. Two other Indo girls started dancing with me, I kissed them both, then took the more attractive one (stunning body!) to a quieter part of the club and offered to bounce to mine. She said it was too late, but she’s free next Sunday. Well, honey, there isn’t the next Sunday, Not for the two of us, anyway.

I spent the rest of the afternoon just watching the girls dance, trying to guess which ones were from the Philippines and which ones from Indonesia. Having been to both countries, I think my guesses were pretty accurate. It’s kind of weird for a white guy to be able to distinguish between the two. Around 8 PM, I got tired, came back to my place alone and caught up on sleep before leaving HK the following day. As for Wan Chai, maybe it went to shit since that Stickman’s guide report was written, or maybe i went to shit being hung over an all, but it was an interesting experience nevertheless.

Some general info and advice

HK taxi drivers are cunts. First of all, they are unavailable most of the time. Uber exists there, but it’s always surge pricing and/or no cars available. When I arrived, I spent like 1.5 hrs in a taxi queue and another 30 minutes to get to my place. The driver didn’t speak or read any English either in a city where many streets are named in English. After that, I had a few more problems with taxis: a driver refusing to take me to Wan Chai on a Sunday in front or a taxi queue ( I would be ashamed if i actually gave a fuck). Having to walk the narrow crowded streets with my suitcase to the metro station on the way to the airport because there were no fucking taxis available, and it wasn’t even the rush hour! Which leads me to my second point...

Make sure your logistics are tight: stay pretty close to where you want to party, ideally within walking distance. I am glad that I did. You can rely on the metro during the day. It’s crowded but very efficient. Take the train between the airport and HK Central station - very fast and convenient.

Buy a sim card at the 7/11 at the airport and connect to the internet right away following the instructions on the package. Connection speed is pretty fast.

Don’t just focus on the girls, do some sightseeing. It’s one of the most fascinating cities in the world. I’ve seen quite a lot, but I should have seen more.

HK is not cheap, neither is going out at LKF with prices for drinks at around $100 HKD per cocktail at some places. The good thing is you can buy booze at 7/11 and drink on the street.

If you think you’ll come to HK as a white god and all the chicks will spread their legs for you, you’ll be in for a surprise. While it’s easier than in the West to find a young and attractive girl, the competition is pretty tough. Both local and expat guys look and dress well and have money to burn. I went out suited up and didn’t feel overdressed or out of place. Having said that, the people seem much friendlier than in a typical Western city on a night out. Girls, even if they are not into you, don’t act like cunts.

Overall, a great city definitely worth visiting.

This is pretty spot on.

The thing about hong kong is it's a great place to live and use as a home base. If you work here, the expat pay is on par with western cities. You can take cheap flights to nearby places on the weekends - thailand, vietnam, mainland china, taiwan, korea, etc. That in itself is pretty attractive, as it would let me check a lot of flags in a short amount of time.

Just out of curiosity, was this "apartment" an airbnb apartment? I was under the impression that HK had some rule where it has to be minimum 1 week to rent. Anyway about to go for the holidays in a couple days, this was a great read and kind of made me pumped!

Yes, airbnb. I didn't know, or care, about that rule. Probably not the only rule that I broke on that trip.

Im in Hong Kong right now, staying in LKF until Monday.

Went out to bars in LKF and wyndham street last night and was unimpressed. This is my third time in HK after short visits in 2013 and 2014. I would say the quality of the girls in lkf went down and the number of foreign dudes went up considerably.

For example, there is a bar across the street from the hard rock cafe called rula bula where I picked up beautiful HK girls during the both previous trips. Some of the best lays I had in my entire life. Went there last night a few times and it was absolute shit. Mostly white dudes and some white girls, but overall a total sausage fest. The only set my friend and I opened didn't respond.

Most other bars are pretty similar. My friend got a few numbers, I didn't get shit.

Going back to lkf tonight, if that doesn't work, there's always wan chai Sunday.

Also, on tinder, while the quality is high, the difficulty is similar to the US. I only got a couple of matches, one girl unmatched me as soon she found out I was visiting, and another one was more polite and wished me a good trip.

I can attest to what Brodiaga is saying. LKF = lame with too many foreigner dudes, bitch shield local Cantonese chicks, and chubby foreign girls. Was in Hong Kong about a year ago.

However, there are ways to crack the system & NYE might bring in an infux of cute foreign chicks.

Im not a big fan of HK nightlife..however..you can try Dragon-I. Made out there with a Russian gal there, but her friend was being meh so couldn't seal the deal. Lots of foreign talent there.

I'd maybe recommend going to dinner at Dragon-I give or take 21:30 (9:30) so that you dont have to pay the outrageous cover charge for the club, which gives free entrance to chicks.

Other than that, I think HK is more of a daygame place. Kowloon while shopping/eating, Avenue of the Stars, Victoria's Peak, Malls, the Hiking Trail (Forgot the name), and the Buddha (Lantau Island full of attractions & shopping malls as well). Enjoy the city during the daytime, go visit the sights, and that's where you will actually see cooler stuff & meet gals with lower bitch shields.

It even beats the hell out of the attitude I tried off of street night game at LKF.

To me there is no greater spot for nighttime street game in Asia than LKF. But you need to be in tune with the local mindset, ideally show that you're knowledgeable about HK, quickly show some value and prove that you're not yet another wasted tourist or exchange student. The amount of other foreigners really has no bearing on anything. Outside of clubs, they are not your competition, and most of those guys just keep among themselves having beers in front of 7-11. Hot girls still pass by the corner 7-11 by the boatloads every weekend.

Also more and more Korean girls these days, which is great.

The actual clubs around LKF are shit though, especially with the death of the mid-range non-pretentious local party/meat market clubs such as Billion and Beijing.

what kind of openers you use for street approach during night time? direct or indirect? Is your approach similar to day game approach?

I don't do day game. Just say something situationally appropriate e.g. comment on her dress or what she looks like. "You look really Korean" has been working well since it gives you an opening no matter what the actual answer is.

I hope that's the case with influx of talent man! Honestly, I have never been to Wan Chai for daygame. Maybe I walked by once on accident, but that was a weekday.

I got screamed at once trying to do street night game on LKF..and saw it happen quite a few times to other dudes as well. Day game is going to garner more positive reactions.

Before I elaborate more, are you going to be in HK for a limited stay in a short period just to game?

If so, I'd recommend doing sightseeing because going there solely just for game is a waste. Sightseeing will also result in higher quality gals that are more receptive opposed to just the streets of LKF on Friday/Sat night.

If you come off as a guy who's interested in the same touristy objectives that she is, it's easier to create comfort for her & her friends. That is what I was able to pull off with these sisters from Ireland who invited me out for drinks that same night (though I had to decline).

If you are indeed interested in day game, I'd recommend suiting up on a weekday pretending you're in town for business and walking around business districts and lunch spots. Work time lunch period during the weekdays yielded the best talent hands down whether Asian or non-Asian gals.

I think for me, the biggest problem was "not enough talent" during my last trip to HK in LKF. Also a bit cheesy too, haha.

I'd still say Dragon-I is pretty decent..especially with the big outdoor patio. Just go early for dinner, because the cover can be 60 USD as they will only take cash for it. What doomed me was staying in a Kowloon hostel that first night in HK before eventually moving to a nicer hotel in HK Island the day after....

2 nights in a row at lkf and wyndham street, no bang.

Went to clubs as well, including the one with a tough door, don't recall the name.

Was there till 6am. Couldn't sleep after that and have a date planned for 10 in 30 minutes, then wan chai Sunday.

Look like shit. Feel like shit.

Guys, don't make the same mistakes I'm making.

HK is a great city, why waste time on sluts.

Fuck me. I have to get my shit together now.

Don't hang in shitty bars or big clubs in the center of LKF. Hit up Racks(a pool hall), little Gastropub bars in Sheung Wan, and the Happy Valley horse races on Wednesday nights. If you have to be in LKF hit up Lily and Bloom, and maybe some of the bars around mid-levels.

I spent a week in Hong Kong this year. I didn't have much luck with the local girls, but I didn't really try with them. I only fucked around with dating apps, didn't go out anywhere. I met a mixed Indo girl on an app that was down to come to my shitty little budget hotel, but I figured she was a hooker and didn't go through with it.

Lots of hot girls walking around everywhere day and night; street game seemed like it would be easy to pull off there but I didn't try. I also saw a pair of Korean girls in a 7-11 once.

I'd like to get my HK girl flag if I ever go back there. Any general tips for banging them? Hit up LKF and put in the numbers, or would day game be better?

There is a relatively huge size of girls in Hong Kong who will only date asian men, most notably Chinese, or really attractive young foreign guys. That's it. This is a 1st world country we are talking about, with lots of foreign competition and residents. Nor is there much a sponsor game going on since well their not dirt poor.

Not only that, only a small percentage go to LKF. Many don't go out, but are addicted to their smart phones. Making tinder the obvious go to choice here.

I don't want to reveal too much online, but thankfully I don't suffer from that problem. My tinder matches had a decent amount of stunners, far better quality then the Philippines.

Had a golden touchdown last time I was there, very sexy girl and wild in the sack.

I prefer Hong Kong over the Philippines, if you didn't care about blowing a first world budget living there.

It seems to be the prime place for lots of europeans / americans to study abroad and get their "asian experience".... by hanging out with other classmates in Wanchai. But there were some FINE uni girls that you could easily pick up and hit it on the side since they are on "vacation".

Hottest Asian chicks I saw in HK...were on vacation from other Asian countries...with boyfriends (Caucasian or Asian bfs).

Agreed with that huge size of HK girls that'll only date Asian men..preferably guys who speak Cantonese. I remember being scorned upon for trying to speak Mandarin to them.

I think it'd be similar to a Spanish guy trying to hit on a Catalan chick in Barcelona whereas she'd go for only Catalan dudes.

I went to some smaller places in Kowloon my first night after I drew good traction but couldn't close at Dragon-I. There were restaurants & small hookah bars where you had really cute Asian girls sitting at tables in groups...though not good for approaching. They were much hotter than the Asian chicks I saw at LKF.

I was just in HK again, the same time as Brodiaga. We messaged a bit but I never had too much time to meet up as I was there on business.

I did mention to him though that I had been staying over in Kowloon this time and was enjoying it far more than the island. Depending on what you are looking for, I think that Kowloon offers a bit more than HK.

I find it more walkable. The sidewalks are larger, the side streets are less noisy, and there are less people on a whole.

There is better access to food in Kowloon as well. Also a lot more variety. Great Korean, Japanese and Indian food as well as the usual Cantonese and Chinese.

For drinking it is 95% locals depending on where you go. Foreigners (myself included) feel magnetized and are allured by 'Hong Kong' which means that the island is going to be populated at night by this type of person. I am fine with that, and I love a good night out in LKF, but Chinese people can be such warm, friendly people that meeting jaded, snobby ones in LKF can by disappointing.

But this time around, staying in Kowloon, I found myself saying "after this beer I will head to LKF" but always found myself talking to new people. The locals here are much more down to earth. I stood outside in Knutsford Terrace the other night waiting for a business associate and must have talked to a dozen people, including five or six attractive women. I was staying only five minute walk from Knutsford and my next trip through HK I will be in the same place for sure. I feel I can get some good options from this area.

All in all, this last trip to Kowloon has changed my whole view on HK.

Hong Kong - Update Dec 2015

This is just a quick update to my last year's report from the previous page of this thread.

TL;DR - 3 nights in HK, no lays, but overall had a good time and learned a lot more about the city.

I followed pretty much the same approach that served me well before - stayed as close to LKF as possible, partied there and at Wyndham Street on Friday and Saturday night, also checked out Wan Chai Sunday and did a bit of sightseeing in between all the drinking and partying.

At least 3 RVFers were in town, but I only got a chance to meet with one - a new forum member who will post here if he chooses to. Unfortunately, Laner was in Kowloon as he mentioned above. I should have gone there, but it was a little late by the time we texted each other, so I decided to stay in LKF.

LKF

Like I mentioned before, I believe it got worse even compared to a year ago. The bars around the Hard Rock Cafe are not even worth visiting anymore, though on the street we approached a few groups of girls, and the other RVFer even got some numbers which led to one date and no bangs for him. Most girls were nice and friendly, but whenever I tried to offer to party on my rooftop or at least get a number and text each other later, they politely declined.

The bars on Wynham Street are slightly better than in LKF (D'Aguilar St). We went to Solas (was crap), then a club called Bungalow (better, good ratio), then I went back to LKF to a club with a tough door, I believe Volar. Some very beautiful girls at that club (8-9 level) - I talked to a few, but no luck bringing any of them home. As usual, they were polite and sweet.

Unfortunately, I was already on the way back to the airport when I read Clint's post about other bars. If I ever stay in HK longer, I'll check them out.

Wan Chai Sunday

We went to Wan Chai around noon, but the clubs were empty before around 5pm (I remember they started much earlier last year). We walked around the area and then checked out Neptune 3, New Makati and Hong Kong Cafe. Neptune 3 was the most crowded with considerably more white guys, including younger ones, than a year ago. The good thing about Neptune, though, is a dimly lit dance floor where you can dance dirty with girls. I approached a couple of girls I found the most attractive, but they didn't show much interest, then did some dirty dancing with another hot Indonesian girl, then we checked out the other two clubs, which were even worse, and came back to Neptune 3. I got 2 or 3 phone numbers, but all the girls had to leave pretty soon, and I was leaving the next day, so the numbers were pretty much useless. Then I danced dirty with another Indonesian girl for awhile, trying to get her aroused enough to agree to bounce to my place, but when I offered, she said she had to take her sister (also cute), but the sister said they couldn't go because they had to come back home early (to their hosts/employers - they are all maids on their day off).

Overall, the quality at the Wan Chai clubs is atrocious, but you can see a few attractive girls and maybe a couple of stunners if you look hard enough. The biggest problem, however, is that by the time the party starts, many of the girls have to leave pretty soon and don't have enough time to bounce to your place on the same evening even if they want to. Wan Chai Sunday seems to be a good option for a longer term visitor or resident to collect a bunch of numbers for easy lays, but for a short term visitor looking for a same day lay I don't recommend it (unless there is some special place or trick I don't know about - local residents, correct me if I'm wrong).

Tinder

I didn't bother to pipeline before the trip to HK, so by the time I got there I was limited by daily free account restriction. Matches, including very good ones, started coming in by the time it was too late. I managed to had a late night Tinder date on a Sunday night with an Indonesian waitress. We drank and watched a movie at my place, but no bang. She wasn't particularly attractive either, so I didn't try very hard given how exhausted I was.

Conclusions:

This was my 3rd visit to Hong Kong. Both LKF and Wan Chai got worse compared to previous visits. I'll let the locals explain the reasons why, but I guess it's a combination of:
-"tinderization" of dating, which makes bars and clubs worse for pickup pretty much everywhere in the world, and
-just the fact that some nightlife venues and areas go in and out of fashion over time

My lack of success this time was probably due to stochastic/random nature of game more than anything else. It was definitely not for lack of trying. Also, I didn't lie to them about the fact that I was just visiting, maybe I should have.

In terms of quality of girls, they are very beautiful and feminine. I stopped over in HK on the way back from the Philippines, and even the first few girls in a shopping mall who I asked for directions were perhaps more beautiful than most of the girls I saw in Cebu.

I would recommend checking out Hong Kong if you either travel there on business or can stop over for a couple of days on the way somewhere else. If you do stop over, I recommend Friday and Saturday nights rather than mid week based on my very limited experience. For example, LKF was a lot quieter on Sunday night and many bars were closed.

If you consider moving to Hong Kong, I would only recommend doing so if you get a high paying job with a salary comparable to what you can get in cities like New York and London.

Too bad to hear things are getting worse in HK even thought things can differ from one to another but certainly there are stuff that everybody would easily notice
anyway i decided to cut my trip short so i would be staying 4 days rather than 7 so i have the chance to extend my days in another city
till the moment I'm looking for decent places in LKF or Wan Chai but can't find one less than 150 $ on airbnb so after laner's comment i might consider Kowloon as well
so remains the issue of where to spend the NYE in HK so hong kongers are more than welcomed to share their recommendations .

^I found a place near LKF for around $100/night, but prices are probably higher around Xmas/NYE.

If you have hotel points, there are many hotels in Kowloon and on Hong Kong island.

Night report :

Arrived a bit too early, between 10.30pm and 11pm, so most of the people were on the streets and not in the bars. I'm not very familiar with LKF, so I only checked the places at street level.
I know there are some in the towers nearby, but I will check them out another time.

I spent some time looking around to map the place in my mind, then got a beer at a 7/11 and chilled outside. This is the first time I actually roll solo, so had a bit of social anxiety there.
There are a lot of prety girls, a lot of foreigners, and a lot of tourists which usually come in large groups (dudes and chicks). I got approached by a Chinese girl that told me she felt lonely at home and wanted to talk to some people. She had an ok face and a slim body, but bad teeth. 5.5/10. We talked a bit, and that got me in the mood to start approaching.

I went to the place called Graffiti, one of the only places at street level with a dancefloor. It was early so entry was free. There was a Filipino band playing along with some EDM, pretty strange but fun. I approached a few sets and danced with girls, but none were overly receptive. Lots of Koreans in that bar, and the dudes are overly protective. Then I spotted a 2-set, locked eyes with the prettier one and approached. She was into it and we grinded a bit, but then this fat foreigner (Dutch guy or something) kept harassing the friend who was clearly not into him. The girls got annoyed so they left. I followed them to get a number, but turns out the girl is from London. I sense that the ONS is dead so I go back in. It was late now, so this fucking indian guy who clearly saw me just go out to talk to the chick asked me for 100HKD... Couldn't talk my way back in!

I paid and approached some more, but from then on the club got super packed, and it became impossible to move around and operate without being an ass by pushing everyone. Thus I scouted around the bar area which was less dense. Spotted a cute girl and caught her looking at me, so smiled and immediately approached (3 secondes rule rules). Turns out she was an Indo girl with a name as long as an elephant's dick. Danced with her a bit but her friend was being cockblocky so I decided to eject. Approached a few more later that night, but nothing worth noting. I decided to go back to my place around 2-2.30 am.

TLDR : LKF is great, lots of pretty girl, but gotta have a bit of luck to approach the right ones. Will keep looking for better venues.
