Hong Kong

3rd day in HK. I took a walk around LKF tonight after a failed date.

And WOW...I cant believe how dudes are walking around, granted this at 8-10 here, but its like 20 to 1 down there. Its so western too, I feel like I'm in New York, without women.

There are a ton of big good looking white dudes too with suits. You might stick out better by not dressing up too much. Asian quality is nothing compared to Taipei. Girls above a 7 here are foreigners. Westerns guys date the ugliest Asian girls. After Taipei as well, I'm convinced Asian men date better looking western women then western men with asian women. Western men with asian women is just a lot more common.

This place seems tough so far, other countries were tough but at least there were women around. Here, they seem to all the escalator home after work, play with tinder and go to bed. I can see why a lot of good players couldn't bang here for a weekend. Good thing Im going to Thailand next week.

Hk there are alota finance type guys suited up. Your competition is gonna be alot tougher than Taipei. There are some sexy looking girls though. Just probably not on a weekday night, but compared to Taipei ya its a level down.

I wasn't a fan of HK natives, the expat scene is great though.

Haha, I did make a lot of foreign friends and a lot of them were pretty handsome.

As for LKF, it's so dense there at weekend nights that I literally just approach what ever girl looks my way that isn't busted lol. I go up to groups and all of that, usually get a few hook ups even if I'm off that night.

There is no place quite like LKF elsewhere in Asia. Quality is there too, but you have to look for it a little (catch girls coming out of / queuing up for the high tier clubs like Magnum, Zentral etc). The great thing about LKF is that even if you don't pull you're still bound to have fun simply because there's a metric fuck ton of people and you end up talking to a lot of them. There's so many different life stories walking around in such a tiny spot - hot Korean tourists, international school brats, exchange students, loaded locals, expat high rollers, creepy old dudes, really young local girls with nearly no grasp of English, Filipino hookers...you name it, you'll find it in LKF somewhere. The hottest girl I ever banged in HK I met on the stairs down to the toilets around the corner of 7-11. So many fun memories.

At this point in my life I'd probably get sick of it going there every weekend, and it doesn't help that the place really has changed for the worse with the death of many mid tier clubs. But I go about once every 6 weeks - whenever I'm in HK - and it still usually ends up being the most fun I had in a while.

The Western guys with the hot girls were typically on vacation with a hot SE Asian chick at their side. Least that was what I saw in HK most recently....

Went out last night with forum member kaeru. Solid dude. Nightlife was completely different on friday. Plenty of chicks around. My experience above was a weekday, though I'm surprised how different it was

I found with Lan Kwai Fong is the you need to stagger the time you go. Mondy - Wed, go EARLY, like 8pm. Most chicks work, most chicks live far away. Thu-Fri-Sat, try and get in before 11. The thirst is REAL and as the night wears on the ratio swings from about even to 70-30 guys to girls.

^That seems pretty on point. Chicks seemed to go home pretty early on the weekday. On Friday, not as many people are just hitting the bar right after work too, so guys were dressed much worse as well. Seems more social circle oriented during the week, and there were many asian girls out either compared to westerners during the week.

Am planning a couple of nights in HK in Mar. Was hoping to stay super close to LKF or Wan Chai if possible for some easy closing. Airbnb has plenty but am unsure which of them are cool with bringing a girl back. Any that you guys have stayed in / have some positive experience with? Looking to stay somewhat classy while not busting the bank.

Also, isin't Kowloon too far from the action? Or is it still a good place to stay if I want to do the usual action and bounce from LKF / Wan Chai?

I've AirBnB'd in HK before. Never had a problem. You can find some relatively cheap rates for baller pads near LKF or anywhere there. Search around. And just ask the host if they allow you to have guests if you're really worried. No harm in askin'.

Moving there soon - looking to setup a bachelors pad to move to on the island on a 15k rent budget. Work at Central. Looking at Kennedy Town / Sai Yin Pin or Wan Chai / Causeway Bay. Any locals got any other suggestions?

Kennedy Town and SYP are pretty good areas and going from there to Central and back on the MTR and buses is more comfortable than from Wan Chai and CWB. Don't expect anything too fancy for 15k though.

15k is sufficient for a cool studio on the island.

Was recently in HK and think it's my last time there...usually nostalgic about the place and have a few friends to visit.

However..I find that it's now absurdly expensive and the girls are ugly (nothing new) for the most part.

So many better places to visit.

Am doing 3 nights in HK this weekend.... any experienced RVFers who want to tag team / generally have a good time.
Have normally hunted solo as I use a pretend identity... but am experimenting with new styles and new challenges.

Just out of interest, what kind of pretend identity do you use? Without specifics, of course.

I'm considering Hong Kong for around 10 days (most of which will be weekdays) in between visiting SEA countries, but need clarification/updates on the LKF situation. That will be my base area and I would want to go out at least 5-6 times a week. I know weekends will be my type of crazy party environment, no issues there, but can anyone go in to more detail as to the atmosphere on weekday nights. Is there still a big party on the streets and in the bars/clubs well into the night (2-3am)? For example, Khao San Road in Bangkok is a jungle on weekends, but still very busy every night of the week to the point weeknights are often better. Is it a similar vibe with LKF? My biggest fear is rocking up and seeing people go for after work drinks then heading home, and nobody truly partying on weeknights- see enough of that where I'm from.

LKF should be good on week nights. Tuesday night may be better in TST, and Wednesday night may be better in Wanchai. But still should be a good scene either way.

Went to LKF last Saturday to see what it's about, I dressed well and ended up having a good time despite rain because of a typhoon. First bar I went to got talking to this girl who ended up giving me a lap dance in dragon-i within 30 mins of meeting. She ends up going home though so I took her wechat. I then pulled out Tinder and a girl I was chatting to earlier said she was around at another bar, had a couple of drinks and back to my hotel. Turns out she had just broke up with her bf and realised what she had been missing.

Overall in 5 nights in HK I hooked up with 3 girls including one model, didn't expect to get that much success with the competition there but I play the high end game myself, it's the only way to get the best girls in Asia.

Based on my experience with Sleeping Dogs Hong Kong is full of crime, mediocre graphics, and clunky driving mechanics

General: Any sign of the Chinese culture has largely been erased. All that remains is Chinese scribbling on signs, which is probably out-numbered by English. Even though it has a high population density, the streets are generally quite spacious and to me it had the feeling of a giant village, partly as it feels so safe (crime is very low for a major city). The city masks that Hong Kong is a tropical island; some anti-antiperspirant is a good idea.

Accommodation: On the Island you can get AirBnBs from about $40 a night for an entire room. Above $70 you should get a gym or a pool. If you happen to be really cheap, you can stay here for about $12 a night. This is a tiny room of about 250*85cm.

Transport: Very cheap. You can get the tram (which is a bit slow) for 30 cents or a bus (slightly faster) generally less than a dollar. There is also a subway, but I don't know how much that costs. If you are happy to spend a bit more, you can get a taxi starting from $3 and then it's about $1 per KM. To hail a taxi just stick your hand up in it's direction.

Night life: The most lively area is around the Hard Rock Cafe here. I went there on a Saturday night at about midnight and it was packed; gender ratio was pretty even and about half the people were foreign. Lots of cute, slim, young Chinese girls about 20 years old. Also a lot of gays and a large number of Filipinas. Drinks are expensive. Expect to pay a minimum of $6.

Pipelining: Tinder, OKCupid, WeChat; also Meetup and speed dating

Day: I noticed that a lot of guys will take their shirt off due to the heat so I popped to the launderette and took my shirt off and put it into to wash. Three women started talking to me there. The natives are workaholics and prefer to stick to their own in many cases. I don't think that you would have much success with them. However, I was engaged by two Chinese tourists, one wanted to take a selfie with me and the other wanted me to take a photo of them and then took my email. If you spot any touristy looking Chinese, I think asking them to take a photo of you would be a good opener. There's a couple of good beaches, which you can get to on these buses.

Filipinas: If you're going to HK, you are probably more interested in natives, but if that doesn't come through there are about 300,000 Filipinos in Hong Kong, almost all of them women. I saw a survey of Hong Kong natives that showed 53% said they would not want to be friends with Filipinos. Thus there are not many options for them. It's probably easier than in their home country. They also tend to be paid very small salaries and have no real prospects other than going back to their own country one day. The girl I met there was a Filipina and insane. But I guess that is par for the course for them.
