Looks like he already backtracked and issued an apology:
https://medium.com/empire-state-of-mind/1e648785df94

Wow. What a shame. Goes to show how "liberal" and "open minded" SF really is. I always tell people that - politically - it's no different from Alabama except it's the version for liberals.

he is getting annihilated in the tech press. he either ought to make this start up a success, or find another career choice

Here's his apology:

"I’m Sorry I want to sincerely apologize to everyone who read my poorly written blog post about San Francisco. I made idiotic and childish, but worse yet, thoughtless, hurtful and offensive comments that I am deeply sorry about.

There are no excuses for my poor judgment, so I make none. I take full responsibility that this mistake was completely my own.

I truly apologize for embarrassing and completely maligning the communities I represent. Again, no excuses, I’m just really sorry.

I don’t deserve any forgiveness for the stupidity of my actions and words, but I sincerely hope to demonstrate by my future behavior to humbly build up and not tear down the communities and people around me.
"

Unreal. This reads like some schoolkid's apology for acting up in class - who knows what's next maybe the SF Thought Police will make him write "I love SF" 100x on the chalkboard or something.

Just once I wish one of these guys would say "I know what I said is harsh, but I meant what I said, and I know some of these things sound harsh but I raised these issues to raise awareness and hopefully fix them, we're a democracy (supposedly) where free speech is supposed to be applauded, not harshly criticized, so try to look at these complaints objectively and from another point of view etc."

But I guess that's how things are in modern day America, where you can't ever dare to criticize a city like SF without the powers that be threatening your job, career, life etc. even if there's more than a kernel of truth in a lot of what he wrote. Now it just makes it look like it was all some sort of big mistake and he was crazy for even daring to say any of it.

I'll bet his cofounders and investors got really pissed off for the negative publicity it brought their company and pushed him to do so. And after seeing all the fliers and harassment he probably thought "fuck it, why even bother fighting this fight". Either way VCs & angels are gonna think twice before investing in a guy who so easily alienates his community (no matter how annoying that community is).

But I agree with both Akula and rio. Total bitch move.

Issuing an apology is the right move but he already fucked up.

Again, you don't put your name on a hate speech about a city that basically gave you money to fund your company.

You can pull a stunt like he did if:
1) you won't be impacted by it
2) you don't need the funding

He is frustrated and couldn't control his emotions.

Don't get me wrong HR in the USA sucks, feminism sucks, the girls aren't as quality for sure... But again why are you here, he gained nothing by putting that speech out. If he already made bank off his company, then feel free to put the city on blast because you already got what you came for.

Gio, I know you kill it with day game, but do you run night game much?

No, I don't night game.

Only dates and sex at night.

And, even with that stuff, I often prefer the day time.

What are your thoughts on the marina, which most people here seem to indicate as the best spot to swoop?

On average and generally speaking, The Marina has the highest quality women in SF, but, they are not necessarily the easiest.

A bit of game is required to pull from the Marina.

Its the higher end of SF.

Definitely worth checking out.

Arguably, the best neighborhood in SF.

Do usf seniors have a little row of bars near campus they hit up on college night/weekends?

I wouldn't know.

BTW, "PointBreak" is one of my favorite movies.

And, that guys apology was very beta. I see why he couldn't get laid.

Point Break is the shit. When my friends and I from back home drink, if someone gets up to get beer, you can say "Utah" and they have to get you a beer also. Usually when one person says Utah, everyone does, so they end up carrying back five or six beers.

You'll like it even more if you start surfing and skydiving!

Thanks for the info on the marina. I prefer day game myself but I'll still have to check out some of the nightlife there. Have only been out to Polk and dt so far and wasn't too impressed by the quality or ratio. On the other hand during the day I've seen quite a few cute girls walking around. Especially on b2b.

Rio, haha I'm gonna have to introduce this rule to my crew.

Marina = USF girls

You can also go to Abby's if you really want nothing but USF girls. Thursdays.

I will disagree a bit with gio, you don't need a ton of game in the marina, the issue in the marina is logistics + style. If you don't live in be marina it's going to be like pulling teeth to get her to leave. Also you better have cash.

No disrespect to anyone on this thread that is from or lives in SF (I used to live there), but SF has a bunch of pussies. If someone made a similar blog post about why DC sucks (in fact, Roosh already has), many folks in DC would join in and add their two pennies supporting it. Even New Yorkers - who live in arguably the greatest city in the world - have plenty of grievances about the place and wouldn't take offense to someone's ranting about it. Yet SF promotes itself as being this tolerant, open minded, liberal paradise. Bullshit.

Oh I agree my disagreement is his situation.

I am only going to write my name on something publicly if I can take the consequences. Roosh is already public and left the states he can say whatever he wants.

It's like me borrowing money from someone and then writing a hate speech about them the next day. You'd have to be a retard to do that.

There are definitely negatives of SF. I can list them by region/segment in SF at he drop of a hat.

Marina = downside is tinder app is taking a storm over there and you have to live there if you want a fighting chance
North beach = lots of fat bitches crowding the bar, so you have to soft through 5-7 venues to find out where the good spot is for the night
Mission= hipster central so again you have to location hunt.
Union square = all the clubs there blow (ruby Skye, slide, infusion) if you mention these to me as places to "regularly pull" I will ignore your advice from that day forward. Those spots are over hyped and hit on a few days a year. Not to mention the crappy floor plan at place alike infusion where you have no seating.
Protrero hill = stresse out doctors meet salsa venues. Some of these spots get straight up awful as you see a bunch of type A aspies mingle with type B unemployed... It's actuallyfunny once and a while.
Soma = hit and miss central. I love to hate soma because sometimes you walk into a spot and it's on fire and other times you'll see nothing but trolls and ugly tatted up B&Ters.

Anyway list goes on, but again. Who in their right mind would do this? Lets switch the city.

I move to NYC for a higher paying gig on contract, then after 6 months I scream on the Internet with my photo attached "this place blows!". Okay you're just a complainer.

If anything I would say his guy is perfect for SF he can run here started bitching, doesn't do anything then issues an apology because he realized he couldn't own his words. Classic SF complainer where he says "i hate my job" but then when a wiff of layoffs come around he suddenly wants to keep it... kill yourslef. If he issued this after he sold his company he could own his words and tell people to fuck off without shriveling up like a salted banana slug.

He is a classic SF beta: make statement -> realize there are consequences -> retract statements. He is likely a passive aggressive guy.

Real men: make statement -> consequences -> maintain stance.

This is why privacy and controlling your frustration at times is important. What did he gain from this? He is an idiot.

That's it right there. It's all fucking fake bullshit. When your forced to join them or be an outcast it fucks with your mind hence living the lie which is California. I've never met more worse humans anyplace in my life except the locals in Mykonos Greece.

WC - I see your point but what I'm saying is why are people getting all up and arms about one lame dude's opinion in the first place? He's not even anyone of significance. Just your average startup guy who made a little money.

Roosh did plenty of hating on DC even before he went abroad for extended periods of time. There's plenty of other guys in DC making the same type of criticisms, but no one really cares for the most part.

Hey westcoast, why is it so crucial to live in the marina when all the other neighborhoods are a few miles away? What difference does it make the chick if the taxi back to your place is 2 minutes vs 8 minutes?
And why is cash so important for a marina ONS?
Not doubting you, just genuinely curious.

As mentioned on here, you're in a city that is very heavy on feminism. What do you expect?

Your average guy in SF is a pussy so there is no way in hell guys are going to back you up. Knowing that is the situation why would you raise up the issue with your name and face attached.

Feminism has won in SF there is no doubt about that. If you're here you're playing the game for money nothing else (I have probably said that 7 times too many already in this thread) so with that premise there is no rhyme or reason to do what he did.

El mech has mentioned a story several times on here about how some dude told him "I make love to women, I don't fuck them" that is your typical SF person no doubt.

Marina reasoning - most people in the marina stay in the "bubble" so you want to live on chestnut street (or as close as possible to the triangle). Cash lets you get ins with the right bouncers/spots, you should be recognized and not wait in line like the chumps outside a place like the Matrix.

Cash has been discussed on the game forum.

Logistics are huge for the marina because of short attention span ADD cellphone addiction. You want to be in the marina "just around the corner" otherwise you need to go to her spot... Which will be just around the corner no doubt, but IMHO it's harder to go to a girls spot than convince her to go to your spot because in the second situation you're leading the interaction.

The marina comment is no different than same old logistics issues in any city. You don't go and pull from spots far from where you live so it's not "impossible" but as usual you want the highest probability.

SF is all about knowing where you personally should live. I would recommend visiting for 1 month. Hitting every segment and taking note if what "type" of girl seems to like you most. Then when up officially move, live in that area.

When I went out to LA years ago I was expecting nothing but shallow annoying cunts. That's what all my guy friends told me. Honestly everyone I met was super friendly and chill. Exact opposite of what I was expecting. LA has some beautiful Mexican girls walking around too.

I just need to get away from these east coast cunts and get some sunshine and Cali Kush.

I am from "Super Gangs/Gun Shows".

The stereotypical hipsters and SJW's aren't San Francisco. To find the SJW's, you'd really have to be in Berkeley, Haight/Ashbury district and the Castro. Even North Beach, the original home of the beatniks and hippies don't propagate further beyond Columbus/Stockton to Washington Square/St. Peters Cathedral. "That white church from Dirty Harry."

The hottest women I've gamed are tourists and locals. The hottest, professional locals are located in the SOMA, or south of Market for outsiders. Use the Zynga headquarters, Costco, Office Max and Best Buy as a location marker. In the SOMA, logistics are perfect as there are three BART stations and MUNI transit along Potrero Hill.

The hottest clubs are found in a strip. Start from the North Beach (Columbus/Green/Stockton), and follow Powell all the way to Mission and Kearny (Union Square). For dinner I would definitely recommend Mario's and then hit the bars in proximity. They have great food, alcohol and live comedy/bands all week. The Hilton is two blocks down, with a hookah/condom source right next a Hunan restaurant.

For tourists, definitely try the Palace of Fine Arts. Women get marriage portraits taken at City Hall or the Palace of Fine Arts. Many single bridesmaids are watching their friends get married. That's where you swoop in and strike while the iron is hot. When you open, ask her if she'd like to feed the ducks with you. Then just run Comfort Game and you know the rest. She's already horny knowing the bride is getting fucked, it's a silver platter for RVFers.

If you want friendly California girls here in the urban areas of Nor-Cal, check the East Bay areas (Walnut Creek; what happens when Glendale and OC have a kid and it moves to Nor-Cal) or Sacramento. I give props to Sacramento; friendliest people of CA in my opinion. SF in my opinion is overrated unless you are hitting up FOBS or tourists.

The women in Sacramento are horrid compared to the talent in SF. I usually judge talent by how fat the Asian women have become. Most Asian women in the Sacramento are just as fat, dumpy and cuntish as their Latin/White couterparts and most work for the state govt.

For talent in the Sacramento area try Roseville (white), Elk Grove (Asians) and Citrus Heights. For rich girls, hover around Roseville/Rocklin/Granite Bay or El Dorado. Run day game at the Arden Fair mall, Citrus Heights Sunrise mall and the Roseville Galleria. All these malls have multiple hair salons and a cinemark. That's where all the Sacramento State and American River College girls work and shop For easy notches and dumpster divers you'll have to hit the ghetto areas, that's Carmichael, Florin, and Stockton. Maybe I'll do a data sheet sometime but I've only ran about 3 months in the area.

@Rhino

Why of all things would you go to Sac for Asian women when they are a dime a dozen in the Bay? You only go to Sac for more normal white girls who don't have the weird shit that Bay Area white girls have save for the Far East Bay suburbs. Roseville and MidTown Sac are my spots in Sac (I'm into white girls).

SF is the place to be for Asian girls. One of the reasons why I would never live in SF besides it being heavily overpriced for what it offers. I'll rather stick in my native East Bay Area.

I'm not in Sacramento to exclusively find Asian women. I use their appearance and attitude as an indicator of degree of "Anglo-Infection" and pollution of the area. In fact, the sweetest suburb girls Ive met are from Galt/Lodi, but it's quite a drive. Similar to a canary in a coal mine.

SF is not the only place for high talent Asian girls. Try Millbrae, Dublin, Mountain View, etc.
