Polanskini can't end films satisfyingly though. Rosemary's Baby had the best ending of his movies I have seen and that was one his first. His builds this great dreadful atmosphere with tons of tension in his movies, but never delivers the climax.

Glad to see this thread out here. I just found an old movie that's the ultimate red pill. It's a teen comedy from 1982 called "The Last American Virgin."

If you haven't heard of it, DO NOT Google the plot. You need to experience what happens in real time. And you need to watch it all the way to the end to get it. At first it might come off as idiotic but that's the set-up -- just stick with it.

http://www.videobash.com/video_show/last...vie-403705

PS: I tried putting this out on YouTube so it could get a bigger audience, but it's "blocked globally." Shame, because all teenage boys really should see this movie.

I saw someone suggest this movie here before. Tried to find it online, only got the beginning scene from Youtube. It looked really good. Thanks for the link, brah.

Wow, just finished. That movie certainly wouldn't be made today. I wonder what it was like to see in theaters with the audience's reaction as the credits rolled, haha.

Broken Arrows - thanks for posting the link, I have been trying to find this movie for awhile.

Wow indeed, flashbacks aplenty in this one for me...attending high school in the 80's, classic 80's tunes, pizza delivery driver, and unfortunately my love life was similar to Gary in the movie. Classic red pill ending.

You didn't like the ending of The Ninth Gate?

Thanks, will check it out.

I would be interested in your thoughts.

Keep in mind though, it is no Eyes Wide, but I still dig it.

Recently Netflixed American Beauty. Surprised no one mentioned this. It has a tragic ending but it's about a guy with a bitchy American wife, ingrate of a teenage daughter, cog in the wheel job and a meaningless suburban life that throws it all out the window to follow his own path and rediscover what it means to be a man.

Fucking love that movie.

I'm going to watch Eyes Wide Shut later I think, Killer Joe I want to see too.

Regarding Green Street, its almost universally disliked for two reasons in Britain. A) Its almost laughable caricature of football violence... Its not prominent anymore, hasn't been for years, and the reality is far different to that in the film. People dying etc. Ridiculous. B) For Charlie Hunnam's atrocious cockney accent. The guy is from England for God's sake, and a professional actor and I've heard many regular Americans do a better one. Perhaps you American guys couldn't pick up how bad it was, trust me, its appalling! However, talking of Charlie Hunnam, great at the American accent in Sons of Anarchy. Often, its not just the actual accent, but the pace of speaking and inflection etc. Its easy for me to do an American accent, but a lot harder to actually do one consistently unless I'm just copying. Sorry, I'm ranting!

Shame with Michael Fassbender. Drive with Ryan Gosling. I stumbled upon this forum after watching these two movies and crazy stupid love.

I watched Eyes Wide Shut last night. Great recommendation. It's a shame most people who see it will never take the time to really appreciate it by doing some follow up reading. The sociology textbook in the prostitute's room forced me to pull up an analysis before the movie even ended.

What analysis did you read? Gotta link?

What was significant about the book?

Thanks

Punch Drunk Love is great also, about this guy constantly being controlled by his sisters and wakes up.

Adam Sandler in a serious role. Paul Thomas Anderson too (Magnolia).

What about Pretty Woman (1990) with Richard Gere and Julia Roberts? Sure it's a fairy tale and practically a Disney (approved) movie, but what about the give and take, rapport, playful alpha teasing, and initial emotional distance by Lewis, Gere's character?

The stoned age. Two friends, one alpha and one beta, cruising around looking for chicks. The alpha fucks the whore and the nice girl, while the beta is confused why he doesn't get any of the chicks. The movie shows how to reframe questions and hold frame perfectly.

Joe is straight up Alpha as fuck in that movie.

This speech from this movie is actually what inspired me to turn my life around and get into game as well. Check it out.

The most inspiring/eye opening lines to me were:
"Nice guy? I don't give a shit!
Good father? Fuck you, go home and play with your kids.
You want to work here? CLOSE"
It made me realize that I was a nice guy and it got me nowhere in life, and my dad was a good father and a nice guy but because he was beta as all hell it got him stepped on at his workplace and miss promotions to people less qualified then him.

(Also the AIDA acronym can be applied to game as well in my opinion)

Now I haven't actually seen the whole movie but this 7minute speach is alpha as all hell by Alec Baldwin, and also semi-red pill so I thought you guys would enjoy it.
Cheers, gonna stream this "Eyes Wide Shut" movie now

Not a movie, but has anyone watched season 1 episode 3 of black mirror? It is a british series. You can download it from eztv or any torrent site I suppose.

I watched Green Street Hooligans. I actually really enjoyed the movie (however unrealistic it is) until the last fight scene. It's not that I need to have a happy ending, but I felt that the way the protagonists allowed thugs to bitch them out using dirty tactics, really went against the overarching theme of the film. They allow their opponents to mercilessly kill their leader, and all they do is politely pull him off the guy, after which all fighting stops.

Thank you very much for not suggesting episode 1 of season 1. That was so sick, I am surprised it didn't go viral.

I submit the The Hire, it is actually a series of short films made by BMW together with some of the world's best directors and Clive Owen.

Lots of movies mentioned here are in this list: http://www.highexistence.com/25-spectacu...vent-seen/

Also the movie There Will be Blood - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/There_Will_Be_Blood is great. Daniel Day lewis can really play a character, plus its based in the early 90's which leaves no other option than filling it with alphas.

Surprised nobody mentioned Dirty Harry! Clint Eastwood kills it in that movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066999/?ref_=ttqt_qt_tt
