Headhunters (Hodejegerne) is a great Norwegian film with some red pill concepts in it. It's basically a meek beta who's playing at alpha going up against a true top dog. The ending is a little blue pill for my tastes but it's still a good movie.

I'll add my nomination for Bellflower and the Shape of Things as two awesome red pill flicks.

Hud, it's fucking brilliant, 1963 and all that but the way Hud talks to the women is brilliant.

Glad to see this thread out here. I just found an old movie that's the ultimate red pill. It's a teen comedy from 1982 called "The Last American Virgin."

If you haven't heard of it, DO NOT Google the plot. You need to experience what happens in real time. And you need to watch it all the way to the end to get it. At first it might come off as idiotic but that's the set-up -- just stick with it.

PS: I tried putting this out on YouTube so it could get a bigger audience, but it's "blocked globally." Shame, because all teenage boys really should see this movie.

I think this thread kind of went off tangent from red pill films to general films about alpha/beta dynamics. Still, I'll check out most of the movies mentioned.

One example of a Sigma movie I like is Will Smith's Hancock.

Then there's American Gangster. Gran Torino. And The People Vs Larry Flint.

I saw someone suggest this movie here before. Tried to find it online, only got the beginning scene from Youtube. It looked really good. Thanks for the link, brah.

Wow, just finished. That movie certainly wouldn't be made today. I wonder what it was like to see in theaters with the audience's reaction as the credits rolled, haha.

The ultimate Red Pill movie? Eyes Wide Shut.

Game, set, match.

I think I've read every post in this thread, and incredibly, no one has mentioned it as a contender. Admittedly, it doesn't really convey game techniques, but as far as opening your eyes to the ugly truths of the world, it is peerless. And so it should be at or near the top of any "red pill movie" list.

Stanley Kubrick died mysteriously a few days after submitting the film to Warner Bros. Many people, myself included, think certain powerful people who saw themselves in Sidney Pollack's character had him offed for pulling the curtain back too far.

The movie actually has very little if anything to do with sex. When you watch it through the right lens, it is absolutely riveting.

It is a movie about how society's true overlords live and how they treat outsiders.

Tom Cruise is a well-to-do physician living in Manhattan with a hot wife and their cute kid. Wow, this guy's gotta be on top of the heap, right?

Bwa ha ha ha!

Watch and learn as Cruise's character is slowly and devastatingly disabused of that notion.

To me the message of the movie is: The true power elite live obscured from easy view. That's how they like it. They stay cloistered. They move in their own circles. Upper middle class educated people are just their errand boys, their hand-maidens (think doctors and corporate lawyers.)

If you're not on the inside, you're on the outside.

Watch this movie through that frame and I guarantee you will be mesmerized.

Good call on "Eyes Wide Shut". I like that movie.

Just for the record, I have never thought that a doctor married with kids was "on the top of the heap".

I heard Saddam Hussein's sons had dormitories in their homes where dozens of young sexual servants lived.

The dictator of North Korea has "pleasure teams" of young women at his services.

Micheal Jordan once had 2000 women show up at a nightclub to see him.

Russian Billionaires travel with a teams of models.

That is what I consider "the top of the heap".

I guess that is your point. The average person has no idea what "the top of the peak" is.

Ripleys believe it or not, I used to work with a billionaire family. They were good people. I always asked little details about their life. It was so interesting to see how they lived, what they talked about, what they thought and believed.

My conclusion: People are people. They all have the same basic needs and wants. Every social class has some good, bad, and ugly.

Money is power. When billionaires want to be good, they can give 10 million to a cause and help tremendously.

But, the power goes both ways, when they want to be bad, well, things can get ugly.

I'm fascinated by their power!

I should have married the daughter. She liked me. Fuck!

Few things are as frustrating to me as reading mainstream reviews of EWS.

They are all insulting and dismissive. Like reading a 6th grader's book report on "The Wizard of Oz," and listening to him tell you that it's really just a book about a girl, a dog, and a wizard.

Yeah, "Eyes Wide Shut" is about marital infidelity and the secrets spouses keep from each other. Riiiiiiigghhtt. Because Stanley Kubrick was SUCH a banal director!

Here's an analysis of it (red pill author) that I enjoyed. WARNING: massive spoilers within:

Yeah. Mostly.

But Kubrick was also making another darker point: Too many of these people on the Inside are not benevolent kings. They keep people alive to the extent that they a.) make them richer and more powerful and b.) do not interfere.

And yeah, they have lots of sex, but in ways and in settings that would make the most hardened player blush. Their sexual mores--if one can say they have mores--might as well be from another dimension.

To be a Michael Jordan or a David Beckham is one thing. To be the man who owns their teams is to be in another league entirely.

And those men rarely have household names.

Okay, it's been a while since I looked at this thread, it looks like a few people took my recommendation and checked out Bellflower, I still want to rep this movie, great portrayal of blue pill, (white knighting, pedestalizing women, nice guys finish last, etc.) It's a great representation of how nice guys fall for the wrong girl, how neediness, clinginess will repel a woman, and how women can by lying, manipulating, whores. I think most guys on the forum coming from the blue pill mentality or having dated a stupid whore will be able to relate to this movie.

I'm sure it has also already been mentioned before in this thread, but if it hasn't I want to add Blue Valentine to the list. Although this movie doesn't really focus or deal with game, it's about the deteriorating of a long term relationship of a young married couple that has a child together. It's a great expose of how married life can be, how the typical romanticization of marriage in our culture, isn't always the reality of how things work out. Ryan Gosling's character is probably the best representation of how to not act with a woman in a serious relationship, also his character is a pseudo-alpha who tries to act dominant, but it's really to mask his deep seeded insecurities and fears. Lot's of alpha/beta stuff going on here, plus insights to how relationships can be. Very unique, realistic, and raw movie, although it is very depressing.

Finally, the mention of Eyes Wide Shut, got me thinking about a movie that I saw a few years ago that's also by a very famous old school director (Sidney Lumey/sp?). The movie is called "Before the Devil Knows your Dead", although I don't know if I can fully classify it as red pill, it is a very good film, with a powerful story, and it does touch on stuff, like relationships, love, life, marriage, etc. Not to give away too much, but there is a deep storyline to this, but the two main characters are Ethan Hawk and Phillip Hoffman, they are brothers with two very different lives, but both have problems. Hawk is a middle class guy stuck in a life thats going no where, struggling to make ends meet, wife, kids, mortgage, feeling trapped by life. Hoffman is the seemingly more successful one, he's got the hot trophy wife (marissa tomei), but she is increasingly losing interest in him, and he can sense that she is slipping away, therefore he thinks if he gets a bunch of money and does all this stuff he can salvage the relationship.

Wish I knew dude.

Kubrick, as a highly successful big studio director, was no doubt in the loop. Not saying he participated or approved, but I am willing to bet the inspiration from the orgy scene came from something he witnessed in real life at some point.

Think about it. Big-time Hollywood directors and producers. Bankers. Captains of industry. These types sit on the same boards, eat and drink at the same clubs, and would get to talking. They would be juiced in to such opportunities. This wouldn't be stuff you could just sort of worm your way into, like paying an escort to accompany you into a swingers' club.

Like I said, that was one of the big revelations of Eyes Wide Shut: If you're not on the inside, you're on the outside.

Phil,

Ever seen The Ninth Gate? If not, watch it.

Not as great as Eyes Wide, but it touches on the same themes a little bit..

I love that movie too. Roman Polanski.

I will watch Eyes Wide or The Ninth Gate any time they are on TV and I don't have anything to do.

Update:

Ha.

This is how the nytimes review starts of The Ninth Gate:

For those with an interest in seeing a dinner-theater version of ''Eyes Wide Shut,'' then look no further. Roman Polanski's ''Ninth Gate,'' with its wizened decadence -- Darius Khondji's velveteen cinematography looks as if it came out of Rembrandt's Fotomat -- and its tired stabs at comedy, is calling your name.

Orphaned at age 4, ran highly successful black market and contraband businesses in his teens and 20s. Spent a brief period in jail for paying off government officials. Owned 5 companies, was friends with Yeltsin and living in the Kremlin by the time he was 30. Spent billions on government bribes to protect his business interests and secure a controlling stake in Russia's oil and aluminium industry.

At 46 now he is the 5th richest man in Russia, own Chelsea football team, the worlds largest yacht, a Boeing 767 as well as several helicoptors, the world's most expensive cars, and has a PRIVATE ARMY of 40 security personnel to protect him at all times.

His girlfriend. Ex model. Huge patron of the arts. I think she had a big gig in Miami for Art basel:

She was born in Moscow in 1981. Her father is Alexander Radkin Zhukov, a prominent Russian businessman, oil-magnate and illegal arms dealer.[3]
