BOOM! The winning continues. Ryan Zinke is the nominee for Interior Secretary. I am pumped about this -- he is a former Navy SEAL and will be perfect for Interior. Will be very pro fracking so this public land regulatory nonsense will end. But I can assure all of the Enviro Nuts that as a Montanan he understands the importance of the Great Outdoors for hunting and fishing so he will be good on making sure Parks are Kept in good shape. As Kosko pointed out, Sarah Palin would be a good proxy for Interior because Alaska basically represents all that the Interoir is in charge of with Indian affairs, parks, resources etc. Montana is basically pretty similar to Alaska except Alaska has better hunting.

The only bad thing is that you want a guy like Zinke (congressman) to run for Senate against Jon Tester in 2018 but I guess he's on to bigger and better things.

ICE and Customs and Border Protection are under Homeland Security, and he has made his pick for that job. General Kelly will, presumably, be involved with whoever is picked to lead those two agencies.

I guess Don basically hand picked Zinke for Interior Sec because Zinke has the Montana mentality where they don't want the Feds to sell off all public lands to the richest Chinese and Californians. Montana actually is pretty cool in the sense that although most people don't own swaths of land, there is a ton of public federal land where people can go hunt. Good to get young kids into the sport because it can be burdensome to plan hunts when the land is all private, and regular Joes can fill the freezer for a winter pretty easily with little cost.
