Marrying For Citizenship

Gotta love those Ukraine girls who have $000s to throw around! I had a Russian girl offer me $5000 to do it once. She told me she had $200,000 in the bank in offshore accounts, Russian front company and what she told people when they asked where her money came from. Then she told me where it really came from.

Was offered 10,000 Euro to marry a girl so she could get European citizenship. She was young, pretty and friendly enough but there were way too many variables for me. I female friend of mine did it for a gay guy she knew. It worked out ok but it was sketchy at times because they didn't live together ...just close to eachother. File under RISKY. I'd definitely do it if I had cash problems.

I can't believe you people with the 10k-20k offers DIDN'T do it. What's the worst that could happen?

The bitch doesn't want to pay or starts to play the "domestic violence" card.....there was a story about a woman who bruised herself and called the cops on the guy saying he hit her. He went to jail and she got a green card right away without having the complete the 2 year period.

Guess what country she was from? Philippines.

Not to mention you can also get divorced raped this way. When you sign the "financial support" papers, you agree to take care of her for 10 years.....some women fight for this and there are cases where INS enforces it.

I believe a fraudulent marriage is a Federal felony if they decide you're full of it.

You would be committing a crime against the Federal government.

The felony people commit with this marriage fraud is perjury because the petition forms you sign all state that you are swearing under penalty of perjury that the info is true. At the visa interview you'll take a verbal oath to that effect. Hardly anyone is prosecuted though, just deportation for the non - citizens.

The main difficulty is you are tying up your options for at least two years because she'll get conditional residency in the US when she enters. After two years the petitioner has to submit another petition for that person to get permanent residency. If you have been living apart, a simple Lexis database search will show it (assuming they check) and the fun begins. As others mentioned, you are also financially responsible for the petitonee until they become a citizen. Also, life happens. She'll meet someone, you'll meet someone and the whole scheme can fall apart.

A Russian girl in Baltimore offered me money to set up a deal with her friend. It was arms length though, not the Romanian offer of full wife privileges [Image: wink.gif] it's tempting and the money for these deals is out there and $10k is a little low from some stories I've heard. Ifyou going to do all that iillegal shenanigans, $20k minimum GTFO.

Trust me, with all the headaches involved 10k is certainly not enough

This is why I don't agree with people getting citizenship just because you marry someone from that country.

I know a guy who did it. He was deployed so he didn't go through the interview. Smooth. Stayed married for five years though.

My boy and my sister did it. I put him on. They fucked up the interview, he got spooked and disappeared for a year. My sister moved back to Belize. Crazy thing is she still received her green card.

During the interview they asked if when was the last time they had sex, what was for breakfast, is his little soldier cut. They messed up two questions.

Would I do it again for 10K? Naw. 20 racks and I wouldnt mind. I'd tell me real girl up front what it is amd if she stays she stays. Brazil, Aussie, or a EU are the only passports I would want. Maybe Japan.

The cycle of disrespect can start with just an appetizer.

I could make a shitload of money starting tomorrow in Indonesia if I married my LTR given our connects. Boarding houses/dorms, gas stations, bar (the latter would be a special pain in the ass), etc. all have been presented and investigated.
Why not take the plunge? It would mean giving up a lot of hand, because foreigners are fucked in favor of the native spouse legally, should things go south.

Do you think it's easy to find this kind of girl to marry in Indonesia if you have a European or US passport? I'm not looking to become a gigolo, but if I ever decide to get married, it would be nice to do it with a girl who has her own money and at least won't be after my money.

Hell, I'm attending the marriage of a rich, young, but not good-looking dude in Bali next month to a smoking early 30s professional girl, so it's possible. Easy? In the short term probably not. My situation was forged by a few years of intermittent long distance, then expatriating, cohabiting, and not finding anything amiss. She has rich but extremely miserly relations.
If you meet some people connected to high society (high crimes), finding such a girl wouldn't be so hard. This one old woman I did a few favors for kept inviting me to Soeharto family marriages, but I blew her off.
To summarize: not easy, but definitely doable, since in my experience classy families don't have problems with their girls marrying non-locals.

This sounds worthwhile. I would do it in a heartbeat for full wife privileges, and the money is not bad either. Though taking the money if she honestly likes me maybe a bit hard(this is beta I know; I blame my own moral code). I wouldn't do it for an upper class Brazilian. Some older friends(age-wise) have horror stories. Would be interested in doing this with a girl from the EE to learn Russian. Is it possible to find one of these in the States?

There are many people around the globe willing to do it.

I think you guys are overlooking the obvious, what if the person disappears and you can't find them to divorce them.

Marrying for love is bad enough!

Watch out for Russian girls. Some of them are calculating bitches, especially those who make it to the US. I have heard horror stories about Russian wives in the US, like a Russian chick accusing her American husband of domestic violence to get a green card without his consent.

I would consider marrying to get a visa/citizenship in a foreign country where I want to settle, not to bring a foreign girl where I live. Even then, I would be very careful.

I had a buddy years back who was offered like 15k or 20k to marry this chick. Her family had money and she was a good girl. I'd really only ever consider this if it was a family friend or someone I knew through someone close, doing something like this with a random you could get in over your head, heck you could even wind up having her extort you.

Can't believe you guys would stoop so low as to marry for money. What about the stigma that comes with it and the constant harassment one would get if they come from a traditional family about the fake marriage? Really, the only way I could imagine someone doing this is if they were near homeless and forcing eviction with no job prospects.

$10k seems too low. I would have thought people would accept no less than $50 or $60k. Because that's what it would be worth in the mental stress, and in the preparation, plus tying yourself down for years.

I've had two friends get offers, both from women in the Dominican Republic. One was for 10K and the other was for 30K. Both declined, although the one who was offered 10K did contemplate it. He is also from DR so it probably would be a smoother transition since they both speak the native language.

I know of a woman who did it but only as a favor to her "husband", meaning she received no cash (as far as I know), ended up falling in love with him as he was staying there. Eventually he got his green card but it took damn near 5 years. Because he was whoring around within those 5 years, she threatened to rip up the papers and such.

After he got his card, they pretty much split, despite her affection for him.
